The act increased tariffs on imported goods, which led to retaliatory tariffs by other countries. This caused a significant decrease in international trade, which contributed to the economic downturn. Don't recall Trumps first go around with tariffs doing any of that but hey you be you

Yeah, it caused the inflation that waited until Biden got elected, then BAM, horrible tariff inflation. That was what was so insidious about Trump. He had it timed perfectly to frame the dems.

Nope. I went to by TP, napkins, paper towels and a can of lysol. There was plenty of stock on the shelves, this weekend.

In this area, every time there is more than a dusting of snow predicted. Eggs, milk, and bread go quick. When I lived in Norfolk, VA, stores would get emptied whenever a hurricane was headed for the east coast.

Ron Wyden (D-OR) on Trump pausing tariffs on Mexico: "The Mexican National Guard has been manning the border for years. The only thing that is new here is they threw out a number, knowing that all Donald Trump really wanted was a headline.” Trump is being played by Mexican President Sheinbaum
