  • Some quick thoughts on "Liberation Day," also known as "Liquidation Day." Obviously, these tariffs are way beyond anything the market expected. I think very little of Trump and the administration

Well even saying domestic manufacturing is not necessarily true.  A domestic manufacturing company that imports raw materials from another country that is now subject to tariffs would also be negatively affected.

Manufacturing as a whole. And yes, we shouldn't be heavily reliant on other countries for raw materials, medicines, computer chips, etc. That's common sense.

If you want to make an argument from a human rights standpoint that we shouldn't allow a company to import goods/products from another country that allows its people to be subject to slave labor type conditions, and so even though the price we pay for goods increases, it's for the greater good so that people on the other side of the globe aren't subject to slave labor conditions to assemble products or us for our consumption.  Then sure, that's certainly a valid argument.

It's just not an argument that anyone in the Trump administration is actually making.

From a human rights standpoint as well as an American business one. It's beyond retarded to create labor laws here and force businesses to abide them then import goods made by sweatshop workers.

Yes Mike, we were, for decades

This survey was completed BEFORE this tariff mess.  Next one should be great.

Consumer sentiment sinks, approaching three-year low with inflation worries highest since 1981

Survey completed before market turmoil in wake of Trump tariff announcement

Nah, that was just you spiking the ball at the 50 and having it bounce up and smack you in the face.

It's amazing the extent of the derangement you and others have on here. You are miserable Trump is in office and praying and hoping he fails because it gives you one thing to enjoy each day while you are miserable he is in office.

BS. Take the bet I offered. Pick a number in the market and if it's below that number one year from Monday and we are in a recession I'll delete my account. If not you delete yours. Same offer goes to anyone here who wants to take it.

Stop. I posted something I said was BS they were doing yesterday that I disagreed with. Today someone hears recession from someone and starts to fap. It's derangement and a mental disorder coming from people who can't stand Trump won and need something to **** about.

 No. I'll accept you just admitting you're wrong. I don't understand this whole "delete your account" thing. If you want to delete your account just do it.
