Hurts successful 2022 was a big reason for that.  They had just hired his OC from that season to be their HC.  A lot of people thought Steichen could do the same things with him, but some players are built differently upstairs.  Hurts has his limitations, but no one would question his maturity, heart, and work ethic.  It’s not a "just find and athlete and plug and play” thing

Would've Steichen done much better with Levis, I'm not sure - nor what Plan C might have been... tradeback for 2024 picks and roll with Uncle Rico, then hope to tradeup for a QB in this last draft (Penix, McCarthy, NIx?).

Steroids are legal with a prescription as are many drugs and substances (many of  which can be bought without a prescription) that are banned by the NFL. Cannabis is banned in a majority of work places --- especially where employee safety is a real concern. The NFL is giving men with talent an opportunity to make a lot more money over a short period of their life than the average successful person. They will have the best facilities and access to the best medical treatments. If a person can't go up to two decades without smoking a joint for those benefits, I don't feel sorry for them. Cannabis isn't something the human body requires to function nor is it something naturally craved. It's a recreational drug that is being increasingly legalized under the farce of medicinal purpose.

Ah yes, the best medical treatments like toradol and pain killers that they definitely use within the recommended doses. There have been tons of reports of current and former players struggling with adiction, the rumors about Sean Payton and him stealing pain killers from the team, etc.

Lets not act like just because the NFL allows it its perfectly fine too.

Probably a little better with Levis, but by how much?  Who knows?  He has his issues too…but I don’t see him tapping out at least

I don't believe my argument does in any way.

I didn't think I would need to go into this more but while not strictly necessary for life, many find it effective for conditions like chronic pain, epilepsy, and PTSD. Your comment also implies that medicinal use is a "farce", which doesn't align with current research showing legitimate therapeutic benefits for certain medical conditions. There's many substances that are widely consumed that are not required for survival yet are culturally acceptable like caffeine and alcohol. Steroids are controlled due to potential harm, whereas cannabis restrictions are increasingly seen as outdated or overly restrictive.

The argument that players can "go up to two decades without smoking a joint" oversimplifies individual situations and neglects personal choice, especially if cannabis is used for legitimate medical reasons. Your original comment seems dismissive of personal autonomy in managing health and stress, things particularly relevant for NFL players with intense physical demands.

Don't be so black and white.

So ... Please list the players unfairly banned / suspended by the NFL for using cannabis for medicinal purposes and not recreationally.

Josh Gordon liked to smoke pot, which is legal in many states now so that its still a banned substance is stupid, why not test guys for alcohol, would be just as stupid.

I see you're having a hard time, so let me help you out.

The top was the original comment you responded to. That's the comment that I agree with. No idea why you are requesting a list of players when that's not the argument at all.

So youre in favor of banning alcohol for NFL players?

Out of the numerous play action plays the eagles have run Duffy picks one out of shotgun...😒

The protection is interesting too. Lane is 1 on 1 with the LDE and the other three DL are all doubled., with Calcaterra and Stoll taking the RDE. If the LB blitzes, Saquon is perfectly positioned to pick him up. It's max protection and a two-man route until Saquon releases.

Shows how much the Bengals worry about Saquon.

That is probably a key to selling the play action. If your tight ends immediately run passing routes, the linebackers are probably not thinking about the run too much.

Schefter said the Eagles likely won't make a big deadline splash, if they even make any moves at all.

There’s a lot of talk about teams letting down QBs by not being able to develop them and pulling the plug too quick, when in reality anyone who watched Richardson or Levis in college knew they should have been 3rd-4th round picks. Especially Levis. Richardson at least had the freak athlete, nuclear arm quality but was still very raw. He’s a better Joe Milton. Neither of those guys had any business going as high as they did.

I haven’t had much time to post but just a general statement for all it’s worth…

Over the past 2 weeks this team has looked more and more like the 2022 Super Bowl team than it has over the past 2 seasons - including all of last season.

Let’s keep that up, folks!

Obviously, I big swing and miss.  It just appears to me that the Colts didn't have any good options.

I thought we missed out on another gold jacket when Dylan McMahon got picked up by the Rams, glad we got another chance here.

Saw something the other day about EJ Speed being a trade target of ours.  What do you think about adding him?
