Maddox shouldn’t see the field the rest of the season. Shouldn’t even be on the team. He’s a walking disaster any time he’s on and teams target him.

This.

And only two sacks and three QB hits.  Against the Falcons and Jags the pass rush failed.

They've been stopped at least 4 times, which means it would have had to be done 36 times successfully to meet 90%.  I don't think they have.

I'm over the push.  I never liked it, and now the teams overreliance on it is costing the team points.  Time to go back to the drawing board and find something creative, and not the slop we saw today.  They have no wrinkles off it.  It's just sad really.  The Tush Push is how I played electric football.

It's not 90%.  I don't think it was that high last year with Kelce.  Was somewhere in the 80% success rate.

I believe @Connecticut Eagle mentioned it was somewhere in the 80% range this year.  So not really much lower this year.  Failing at it 2 times today doesnt help optics of course.

Once it's in the 80s, it's the same as regular QB sneaks.

We are currently 6th in offensive yards per game and 3rd in defensive yards allowed per game.

Option 1 - educate and do your job the right way.

Option 2 - do it their way and be the fall guy when it fails.

Weird that Elliott is 0-3 from that distance when the rest of the league can't seem to miss. He was a terrific long distance FG kicker. You have to wonder if having Mann do the kickoffs might be taking Jake out of the game a bit. With the Eagles going for it on 4th down and going for 2 more often, his leg isn't getting nearly the amount of work as he's used to. I don't like how the Eagles have handed the kickoff or FGs this year at all.

I'm definitely concerned that for whatever reason, he's not hitting the long ones this year.

Ill feel comfortable only if Dak AND Lamb are out.

As long as there is 1, theyll be just dangerous enough to capitalize on our screw ups.

You obviously haven't watched the cowboys this year. They are a complete dumpster fire.

.This is from Jimmy Kempski.

Sirianni was aggressive all evening, and it bit them. Personally, unlike some previous games, I thought that all his "go for it" decisions were correct.

• Up 10-0, Sirianni went for it on 4th and 3. Easy call. Go for it. Go score. They didn't convert, and it ended up being a turnover on downs. It happens.

• Up 16-0, the Eagles kicked the PAT, but the Jags were offsides. Sirianni took the point off the board and went for 2 from the 1-yard line. They got stopped on a Brotherly Shove. Or maybe they didn't? It looked to me like Hurts got in the end zone. But whatever, officially, they got stopped. The Brotherly Shove has been very successful this season, even without Jason Kelce. Yes, a PAT puts you up three scores, but it was still only the second quarter. Keep getting more points. I was fine with that call.

• Up 22-0, the Jags were flagged for a dirty low hit by Andre Cisco on Fred Johnson as Hurts was running into the end zone, which meant that if the Eagles were to go for 2, they would once again do so from the 1-yard line. Again, their Brotherly Shove got stopped. And again, I think you trust the best play you have to get you more points.

• Up 22-16 late in the 3rd quarter, Sirianni went for it on 4th and less than 1. A field goal would have put the Eagles up two scores, and, of course, a touchdown is, you know, even better. Late in a game, kicking a field goal there is the obvious decision. But in the third quarter and needing less than a yard, go for it, and yeah, run the Brotherly Shove again. Instead they ran some foofy rollout that the Jags sniffed out. I do think the play call in that spot was bad.

• And finally, up 28-16, Sirianni went for 2 to go up by 14 with 7:43 left in the game. No-brainer. They didn't get it.

So, yes, they left points on the board, but they were all reasonable decisions. The Eagles won a Super Bowl because they were aggressive on 4th down. But sometimes those aggressive decisions will backfire. Sometimes you have to take the bad with the good.

The one i would have kicked a FG was when it was 22-16.  You make it 25-16 and a 2 possession game and give a little breathing room.  Right before that the Jags finally got a TD then immediately got a defensive TD they shouldn't have.  I think that might have shook the Eagles a little. Going up 25-16 would have settled things down a little at least.

Excluding the missed field goal, my son said we could have scored nine more points.  Game would have been iced.

He conveniently doesn’t mention the 57 yard FG  which was the worst decision of all.

Been saying it since the preseason...Steen is the better RG.  Everybody was enamored with Bectons size (there really isnt much difference) but Steen moves much better and hasnt given up alot of pressures.  Becton should be the swing tackle and backup at RG

The 2 dumb decisions were going for 2 to make it 18-0 instead of 17-0 and passing on the field goal to go up 25-16. Always add another score for the other team to catch you. Always.

I couldn’t disagree anymore on the second bullet point. The timing doesn’t mean anything here. And is the suggestion a brotherly shove is more accurate than an extra point? There are two outcomes, up 3 scores or up 2 scores. You do XP because up 1 or 2 hardly matters here, either gets you to 3 scores.

This also leaves out the "kick a long FG” decision which was also bad.

1 hour ago, Iggles_Phan said:

There was a lot of competition.  He made the wrong call basically every time, and because of that and failing to convert on any of those 4th downs or 2 point conversions, they let the Jags stick around.   A total of 9 points left on the board.  Only 1 call was clearly the right call, going for 2 when they were up 5.  BUT... that was after a ton of wrong decisions where that would have been a moot point if he'd taken the points earlier in the game.

AND... this is in light of the fact that they lost to the Falcons, because he didn't take points early in a game with no score.   He has no feel for when to go and when to not go.  He just goes by the 'I'm aggressive mantra'.  Its reckless and it nearly cost the team a second game.

I understand taking some risks....but you cant take a risk every single time when they havent worked before. It was just compoinding bad decisions which when looked as an isolated call may have been fine but a number of them werent situationally aware of the game that was taking place. Sometimes its better to keep pilling the points and not let a bad team stick around rather than be aggressive.

Not to absolve Siri for some of the boneheaded calls but the players really did fail to execute a couple of times which they should have been better on. You gotta get one yard on two tush push attempts. But some of it was also terrible play calls - the dumb roll out pass play when you need 3 inches still baffles me.

JJ McCarthy is definitely a kid faking to be a NFL Pro Player like that one kid pretended to be a Dr, right?

Disagree. There have been multiple times when Smith and Brown have had to slow down or fight for the ball. Most of the time Hurts just floats it

Can’t tell based of that. Hes not really in the normal hip drop position. Plus he put his one foot down while going down instead of going dead weight. So probably not.
