This might be an unpopular opinion. As cool and amazing as Barkleys backwards hurdle was, I hope he never does it again. That just seems like a play that is destined to end a season either from taking a shot in the back or landing awkwardly and rolling an ankle. He was extremely lucky he had a clean landing without looking to see what he was coming down on.

He actually got popped pretty hard in the head when he landed

I could totally see them over using CMC when he comes back and gets injured again

True. We play them in a couple weeks too.

I think them and the Ravens were the best teams last year, even better than KC. You could see the 49ers regressing though the last few games of the regular season into the playoffs and finally in the Superbowl. I think once they get CMC, Greenlaw and Warner back they will make the playoffs.

Werner hasn’t missed any games?

Yes but Nike didn’t make Brian Mitchell jerseys unless you are getting it customized. Which at this point don’t see people customizing Brian Mitchell jerseys if it’s Nike. He probably got it either right after we drafted him or during training camp if it’s Nike

For the record, the jersey I saw was black, which is a color the Eagles never wore when Brian Mitchell played here. It was 100% a Quinyon jersey.

It really stood out to me yesterday even with Barkley taking himself out of the game repeatedly, that we got the ball to Van Summeren, Calculator, Johnny Wilson, and Ainias Smith, but Shipley couldnt get a touch and I dont think he even got a snap on the field. Makes no sense.

BVS got 2 snaps on the first drive and then was out for the rest of the game

He switched from 30 to 27 when Zech McPhearson was released.

What the heck do you think Reid does for Mahomes? Think he'd be nearly as successful anywhere else? And look at him struggling this season with lesser talent around him.

QBs rarely get to third reads, either it's a quick hitting play in which case he doesn't have time, or it's a slow developing play where he has to wait to see if his primary target comes open (like a crossing route when you have to wait for the WR to clear traffic). When Hurts dumps it off, it's often when he's had time to go through his options and no one is open.

The real problem has been Fred Johnson at OT, subpar in 3 of 4 games. Hurts is doing a better job of staying in the pocket, but you have to have a pocket to stay in.

They're playing without 3 pro bowl players in Mailata, Goedert and Brown.

Yesterday, with a lead and half your weapons on the sideline, Moore was conservative for most of the second half.

I think it'll look differently with everyone healthy come December.

Hurts had a good game. I think he took a step back in terms of pocket presence.  He did have 2 plays where he escaped and picked up good yardage.  He took 2 sacks that he could have avoided.

The first Josh Allen sack took enough time that Hurts could have made a throw rather than try to just escape. He was also sacked in the red zone and had plenty of time to get rid of the ball.  If he didn't see anyone open, he should have gotten rid of it sooner.  It was coverage sack but it was totally on Hurts. The second Allen sack was, I think on Dickerson/Johnson and/or the protection call.  They had Stoll chip Josh Allen and Dickerson took the DT.  Allen looped to the A gap and Johnson couldn't get over to him. It seems like Dickerson should have passed off the DT to Johnson to take Allen.  I don't think that was necessarily on Hurts.

Hurts was better in the 2nd half.

Huge news

For those in the know:

What's the cap situation if Huff were to be traded?

I still don't think it happens

The ‘he’s taken a step back in pocket presence’ thing is off base imo.  By just about every metric I’ve seen, his numbers have improved vs pressure.

I’m not sure  how we can talk about a QB regressing in pocket presence after becoming the 1st ever QB in Eagles history to be 119+ in passer rating for 4 consecutive games.

Not saying he doesn’t have area of improvements…all QBs do.  It just reeks of nitpicking imo…

Highly doubt Huff is traded

Were the numbers white or green?

Because the year before they started wearing them they did sell black jerseys with green numbers but never wore them in game.

Barkley had no idea he was going to do a reverse hurdle in that moment, that was all instincts.

Eagles have to open a roster spot in the next two days for Albert O.

Get excited.

Nick Gates (if they think Driscoll can be emergency Centre), otherwise Kinnard.

The interesting one will be when Mailata is coming back - Maddox (please) or Tristan McCullom

Tbh it would be super valuable down the road cause it would be more rare. Like someone is selling his practice jersey (autism green numbers). It’s a rare piece as everything else will be 27. Similar to hurts wearing 2 his rookie year or McCoy 29

I've always wondered if I wore my #29 McCoy jersey if most people would remember that or if they'd just think my last name is McCoy.

Good call on the second sack. The DT knocked Dickerson back a couple of steps and Johnson couldn’t slide over the two bodies. Had Dickerson not given so much initial ground they could have traded off. More on Dickerson than Johnson, I thought.

That jersey is being sold by someone on eBay. It’s a good collectors piece especially if he plays at this level for years to come

Kinnard is more likely to be claimed on waivers than Gates, I’d think. Gates would probably be released before him. Maddox might be the next to go. And I think Stoll is a candidate too when Goedert is healthy. No one wanted him this summer when the Giants released him and he languished on our PS a month. Oren Burks might be superfluous at this point too.

Well the Dallas area is finally getting rain today, first decent precip we've had in two months...and it's still not enough rain to put out the dumpster fire the DALL-ASS COWBOYS are.
