Dejean is more fun to watch…he’s emerging as a punt returner, can step up and make plays at the LOS, tackles well, and can go man to man against a WR1.

But really…what Mitchell is doing is more impressive.  From week 1.  He just goes out there and gives up zero separation.  A rookie with zero career INT and teams have stopped throwing at him.

Again…a rookie with zero int. They tried to go after him in the GB game week 1.   I don’t think anyone is afraid of him, too early for that.  He just gives up so little and gives QBs bad targets.

My sheets are filthy

That was maybe the most underwhelming 34-6 win ever. Hurts is still turning the ball over like crazy. Fortunately Rush is not good. Dallas would have been up 10 at halftime if Dak played.

I’m going to start calling Hurts " @Godfather " because of all the sacks he takes

I don’t think this offense can function without at least the threat of him running.

We need a legit backup RB next year. Take a guy in the second round who could be a quality starter.

Until then, we paid Barkley to be the man and the pass game isn’t reliable enough to lean on.

That is the double edged sword of attaching your offense to an all world RB.

Any offense that can’t function without their RB at their peak level is on a flimsy foundation.

We are where we are though for 2024…and that’s a team starting to legitimize their championship aspirations whilst having a passing game that needs an elite RB threat to function.

So they better figure out how to be effective enough Embiid-ing Barkley against the crap teams left on the schedule so that Barkley can go 25 for 175 in the playoffs against DET and KC.

This is their mini gauntlet coming up.

WAS on a short week, then cross country to a Rams team that will probably be outplaying their record by then.  And then turning it around playing at Baltimore.

2-1 would be a significant win.  No shame in 1-2, but that would be the end of bye talk.

That CB Arnold that DET drafted right after us stinks.

Both our DB picks are better than him.

Some positions testing doesn’t matter. CB is not one of those positions. Speed matters.

I’m not worried about this year. He’s still young. Unless he tears an ACL or something devastating along those lines. But I don’t see him slowing down this season just from usage.

With that said, I would start planning for his inevitable decline next season, because he probably only has 1 or 2 seasons after this at the peak of his powers.

While also turning the ball over through the air and on the ground as well.. don’t forget about that

I don’t think the Jalen Hurts debate will ever quiet down until he wins a SB here or is shipped out of town.  (Of course that basically goes for every starting QB in Eagles history).  But Hurts exemplifies that.

Hes setting records.  Scoring combined passing/rushing TDs at rates that are unprecedented.  The offense is moving, succeeding, and scoring.  And he throws that beautiful deep rainbow.

But it just continuously feels like he’s dependent as a passer.  That he needs the great OL, the elite running threat, and the right call and right separation for his first read.  And if that gets disrupted, all he can do is break from the pocket and run.  If it doesn’t get disrupted (and this offense has the personnel to avoid that most of the time), then he’s tossing deep dimes, running for scores, and making plays all over the field.

Its just really tricky to project with him.

Oh wow, Jalen Hurts is the only QB I. The league to have turned the ball over.  This is big news.

#1 seed here we come!

If Detroit loses, it was a perfect day for us.

A frustrated Jerry Jones had some comments about the sun impacting play at AT&T Stadium: "By the way, we know where the sun is going to be when we decide to flip the coin or not. We do know where the damn sun is going to be in our own stadium.”

Why not put up curtains over the windows?

Jerry: "Well let’s tear the damn stadium down and build another one? Are you kidding me?

"Everybody has got the same thing. Every team that comes in here has the same issues.

"I’m saying, the world knows where the sun is. You get to know that almost a year in advance. Someone asked me about the sun. What about the sun? Where’s the moon?”

Jerry angling for government money to be able to pay for curtains on the stadium.

I said this going in bye the biggest thing he can’t do is turn the ball over and if he does can’t have multiple. the Eagles offense is so good and talented that even with turnovers they can put up points. However the eagles in games where they are facing better opponents will have issues if we have turnovers. Can get by the jags and cowboys with them. Seeing tonight with the lions, the 2 turnovers have really hurt the lions.

I don’t know if the sun was in his eye, but the first half the way too many times he had chances to throw the ball away and wound up taking a bad sack. Live to see another down. Third and 9 is much more manageable than trying to make something happen that’s not there and being in third and 18. We have an offense that very capable of getting 10 yards on a 3rd and 9.

The next three games, I think if you win the turnover battle then you have an excellent chance at winning those games. I get all three of those teams are good teams. But if you don’t turn it over, I think you can score on every one of those defenses and really put it to them.

Much like the civil war, the debate has been over for a while now. The only issue is one side failing to realize they were on the wrong side of history.

Jalen might be the first QB in NFL history to crack 100 rushing TDs.

For context, Barry Sanders had 99. Walter Payton had 110.

It honestly can’t even be that expensive to fix or alleviate - not when compared to the cost of the stadium, etc.

There’s types of tints that get lighter or darker dependent on the amount of sunlight hitting it - and they’ve been around for ages.   I would imagine the newer technology is even better than that.

The defense has definitely been encouraging the past month. They’re beating up on teams that they should like Cleveland, NYG, and a Cooper Rush Dallas. And they smashed a good offense in Cinci. Washington will be a good test. But Fangio has done a great job with them so far and they are gelling. Baun has been incredible and the best surprise of the season. And you can’t say enough about Quinyon either. Carter was off to a great start for his rookie year, but I think Q is playing at a more impressive level and at the most important position on defense. To be this lockdown as a rookie is so damn impressive. What a great draft pick. He’s an absolute dog.

Hurts looked like he was glowing in that sun.

They are going to have to throttle down on Barkley if they want him to be Barkley deep in the playoffs.  It’ll take restraint and a flame suit.  I wouldn’t even mind seeing him sit out a couple games in December.

He’s had relief from Gainwell and even Shipley including complete quarters off.   And the reward for a Thursday night game is a mini bye.  I am not worried about Barkleyrunning low on gas. BTW, I hope they extend Gainwell.

Bullseye but that combination is ideal with the talent.   Ride Barkley because he is that good and the OL thrives on runs.   AJ and Devonta are so good at catching long passes. And Hurts gets it there pretty well. They do a good job of controlling the clock.  Really like getting away from the throws at the LOS.

When they lean on the run they control the clock well.  Smith, AJ and DG are also ideal for a small ball passing game as well.  The O is still too feast or famine.  I’m also kind of at the point where, yes Hurts drops a dime or 2, but AJ and SMith deserve so much more credit for bailing out a lot of poorly placed deep balls.
