Hope we can extend him.. would hate to see him have a breakout year at a position we suck at, just to see him walk away

Yea, I dunno how this one ends. He's old-ish and never made much money. This is going to be one chance to make some money. At the rate he's playing, he might outprice himself here.

Extend Zack Baun. Don't care how many void years or funny accounting it takes. He's more important than Becton, Williams, Sweat, etc.

I think this settles for good the discussion we had on the topic a few months ago

In fairness to Howie I still think Baun is the best edge rusher currently on this team.

I think they will extend him if he finishes the season strong. LBs don't get paid that much and the Eagles seem to have shifted philosophically a bit last offseason to prioritizing the back 7 more. And I think Fangio will advocate for him and Howie won't piss off Daddy Fangio. Then next offseason they try to get that monster edge rusher. This defense with one would be absolutely sick.

This play might seem like an innocuous play, but last night it kind of pissed me off. These types of plays are exactly the same type of plays the Eagles have been trying to force feed to Ainias Smith the last couple games. Jet sweeps, fake hand offs, fake jet sweeps, putting him in motion and faking end arounds with him. And Ainias Smith is soooo slooow. Plays to Ainias never work and defenses don't respect him at all.

Yet the Eagles passed on Malik Washington who was 10 times the player Ainias Smith was in college.

This isn't some huge deal or anything, both players would have a very limited role in this offense, but it was just something that came to mind when watching the game last night. Overall it looks like one of their better draft classes in the Howie era as it currently stands, but I remember watching the draft passing on Washington was that one thing that nagged at me a bit.

I mean, he's no Derek Barnett, but he's ok, I guess.

I know the competition hasn't been stellar.  But dominance is dominance.  Best back 7 in the NFL.

I was thinking about this earlier.... has there been a near worst to near first turnaround for a position group that rivals this?  It's really incredible.

Id really like to see those plays for Dotson rather than Smith. Dotson has the speed to be dangerous on those, and they need to find more ways to get him the ball.

Ravens have the 4th best offensive DVOA since 1979

Bitcoin is about to hit another all time high and Eth should be close to $4000 in the coming week or two.

Holy smokes they’re gonna end up with a top 5 pick

Becton and Lane both pull to the left, Jurgens blocks down and Calcaterra releases. You can see the Cowboys crashing down. No blocking to the right side.

The DE and OLB are caught flatfooted. And yes, that's Calcaterra blocking the safety.

I saw somewhere a few weeks ago where some pundit had his tiers of teams, and he had the Bears in the top tier and had the Lions in the tier just below them. Think about that. The Bears better than the Lions. Someone actually thought that in the month of October this calendar year.

Yep. The drop off from Becton to Steen is minimal, if any. The drop off from Baun to JAG is drastic.

I still hope Becton, Baun and Rodgers are all brough back however.

And Hurts follows Lane…..until he didn’t and ran right over the Dallas DB.  Really trucked him.  Unnecessary because he had a clear path behind Lane.  When Jim Kelly came out of college, the Bills were too cheap and he signed with the Houston Gamblers running Jack Pardee’s and mouse Davis’ Run N Shoot offense.  The announcers would say that Jim Kelly, when he ran, played like a LB.  He’d run through contact.   That choice by Hurts made me think of that.

Thought they'd waive an OL

Interesting move for Mailata I presume. Down to just 2 TE's again on the roster. EJ Jenkins is out of elevations. Stoll has 2 left I believe if he were to re-sign on the PS.
