I’ve read In Cold Blood about a half dozen times over the years. In the movie, a bunch of locals were played by the actual people. Also they used the real house, which I’ve always found to be kind of unbelievable. But it’s apparently true. 

Funny. I have a different view. I have always wondered how much of In Cold Blood Harper Lee wrote. She was a much better writer than Capote IMHO. The character Dill in To Kill A Mockingbird is based on Capote. You probably knew that.

She was reportedly very helpful in his dealings with the locals because she was quite engaging whereas he was rather...odd. So the interviews and all that stuff, I have no doubt he couldn’t have done it nearly as well without her involvement. But as far as the actual "pen to paper” is concerned, I believe that was all him.

Incidentally  I’m not that well read. I’ve only read one book by each of them. The two which have been mentioned. And yes, I know about Dill.

I do agree that it was all him for pen to paper. In Cold Blood is by far his best work, again IMHO. I found Breakfast at Tiffany’s to be unreadable. There was a one-man play about him called Tru. Not very good but he had a great line that jumped out at me: "Life is a pretty good play with a lousy third act.”

10-7. While I’m very hopeful, I have a nagging sense of uneasiness about our depth along both of our lines. We might be great but I’m kinda fearful that we’re just gonna be okay when all is said and done.

yup...there are too many questions especially depth along the OL. Is there even a pass rush? Can Hurts finally handle the blitz? I think it takes time for the defense to come together, and we will continue to see people running loose especially in the middle of the field early on. And...I do not have much faith in Sirianni.
