I think Nolan Smith deserves more attention than he’s getting for turning it around.

I don’t know if he turned it around or just got more opportunities but he’s been a beast and it’s awesome to see.

Terry McLaurin on Quinyon Mitchell: "He’s a good corner. He doesn’t really play like a rookie.”

Was a big fan of both. I was stunned either was on the board when we picked. I remember thinking @TEW was crazy for suggesting him with our first round pick. After the Senior Bowl I thought he was going no later than like 16.

Yup. I thought both would be gone by our pick. I’m floored they made it to us. Was super stoked when they took Mitchell. I liked his personality and commitment to Toledo. He didn’t have to do that especially in this era of NIL. It tells a lot about his character. He’s not just a good player he’s also a good dude

We are so lucky he is a loyal kid and decided to stay at Toledo and not enter the transfer portal. Had he left for a major program he would have been a top 10 pick.

Sometimes we’re allowed to have nice things. 😂

I think if Mitchell went to a bigger school he'd have gone much higher and would've separated himself from Arnold. He not only tested well, but showed a competitive streak at the senior bowl. Arnold's speed was a question.

Even if the Lions win out, I think the Eagles still get it

Detroit has one loss, if they win out they get it.

That was the joke, I was making fun of a statement RTK said

The interesting thing about Mitchell is that, as a rookie, he hasn’t been in the NFL nearly long enough to "establish” himself as a lock down corner.

Some of the prior great CBs (like Revis and Nmandi) had breakout INT seasons before QB’s really stopped testing them.

No one is *afraid* to throw at a rookie CB with 0 career INT.  He’s just giving them absolutely no separation or windows to target.  He’s doing this while QB’s are still trying to target him.  The famous island CBs often got ignored.

I’d bet the lions lose that late season game at SF (assuming sf doesn’t get a bunch of guys hurt by then). Buffalo is also their other toughest game. Otherwise really gotta hope Gb and Minnesota can upset them.

They just got their biggest win of the season, have won 6 in a row, and Saquon was MVP level in the 4th quarter when we needed it most. FN enjoy it for 5 seconds bro.

It would be so much easier for some folks if the Eagles would just go back to being bottom-feeders so they don't have to get excited about winning and losses aren't a let down, but exactly what was expected. People are funny.

Calcaterra may have had the play of the game. Goedart awareness level poor.

Yes, yes he is.

And to be fair, part of my expectations were built around Devin White getting embarrassed every week. What a baffling signing. I’d love to know the backstory there. Was it just a Howie special or did Vic sign off thinking maybe he could teach him LB 101?

Who knows, but my guess is that was purely a Howie signing. I thought baby Trot might leap frog Him mid way through the season and we'd roll with him and Dean there. I'm still in disbelief at how well Baun has played. And it seems to have made Dean so much better too. Both of them might be the best LB duo we've had since Emmons and Barber.

There's nothing fluky about what we're doing.

Yardage is the best signal that we're good.

I loved the pick, but I thought he looked lost and overmatched in the 4th quarter of preseason games this year.

He’s so small and light (not unlike Reddick or Von Miller)…but if you are to make it work at that size, you’ve got to bend, explode off the LOS, and attack the OT at oblique angles while they are off base trying to keep up with the speed.  Now he’s starting to do those things…whereas he was simply getting engulfed and looking unexplosive in preseason.

Their kicker cost them 7 points. Their QB played his C level game. They left a lot of points and plays out on the field for basically the first three quarters of the game. The defense proved they are LEGIT LEGIT and kept them in the game and the OL and Saquon completely took the Commanders souls in that 4th quarter and kicked their asses and that dude is talking about being worried. He's probably the kind of guy who would still complain if they won the SB because they didn't win it good enough.
