Good Game! Congratulations on the win! I thought we were going to pull it out but you guys outplayed us in the 2nd half. Hats off to you guys. This stings.

Shut up. @Godfather tell your husband to go to bed

I don’t know. I think Rodney McLeod is criminally underrated by eagles fans. He was a good starting safety. He got overshadowed by Jenkins. when he came to us he was entering his prime years. There’s a reason why he’s still in the league at his age. Now he’s not the same player he was but he’s still competent enough to play at a decent level in the NFL. It’s why started 5 games last year. Blankenship can get there i disagree about it being close at this moment in time when he played here with the eagles and where Blankenship is entering year 3. I think mcleod was a good starter. Blankenship is a solid starter.

to me CJGJ is a better slot corner than a safety. I think people got in all of all the interceptions. He had his first go around with the Eagles. I’d be much more excited for him if he was playing in the slot. But then they have to go and find another safety because Sydney Brown isn’t healthy. And who knows if he could play safety. Cooper Dejean they don’t wanna move to safety. So they would’ve been better off in my opinion signing Justin Simmons. I thought Justin Simmons was a better fit knowing fangio’s defense

McLeod was very good, just kept around a little too long. Great FA signing.

He can tackle. He had a bad play on the TD. On that turf, not gonna tackle a speedy WR that far out of the play.

I'm not even going to go back to his missed tackle percentage the past few years. I talked about it for most of the offseason. I'll just say it isn't low, and it's because he's a below average tackler.

"Well, Hurts didn’t look good but we won and scored points” has already gotten old to me.  At some point, it’s going to get old for everyone if he doesn’t start looking good.

He’ll look good.  He actually had some pretty spectacular throws/plays that unfortunately were overshadowed by some of his mistakes.

I hate to say this about a damn week 2 game…but I think it’s very, very important the Eagles pass the eye test next week.  They have a very long, near bye week between games going up against one of the worst teams in the NFL.

The stigma of last year was going 10-1 ugly with the cracks just waiting to crumble…we kept waiting for that "complete game” and instead we got the bottom falling out after ugly win after ugly win.  Tonight was a vintage ugly win from early last year.

For the morale of the team, for the confidence in Hurts, and…most importantly…for our sanity…it’s time that they deliver their first "pretty game” since the 2022 season NFCCG against the 49ers.  It’s been that long.  And if they can’t get it against the Falcons on extra rest, it may not be coming.

Falcons aren’t one of the worst teams in the NFL. Can’t say they’re good but they have enough to win the division and get close to double digit wins.

Reminded me of the wins from last season. Didn’t look good but won nonetheless. Hurts needs to better.

His situational IQ has plummeted from 2 seasons ago. What was once his strength has turned him into Carson Wentz. Late Throws, Holding the bal too long, forcing bad throws in scoring position, and staring down receivers.

I think you keep it, but you need more work on it. You don't throw that of all things away after one game with a new center.

QB sneak has always been good, we just haven't used it until recently.

They were playing to get to the sneak instead. Don't like that mindset

If the almost $40M RB can't get the first down then why'd you give him the contract

that was also a recurring theme from last years 10-1 start. He was really, really shaky to start the year. Then there was a 3 game stretch of Swift dominance that seemed to turn the offense around. Then Swift faded for the rest of the season, and Hurts went back to holding the offense back. While appologists pointed to the amount of points "he" was putting up.

Rodney McLeod was ok as a starter. Sheldon Brown was ok as a corner. Sometimes being reliable is more important than being flashy. Sure you could theoretically upgrade, but that's true of many players on most teams, and people don't push this narrative with the vast majority of them, but this narrative is common with Blank. Why?

Sheldon Brown was better than ok. Really good, sound all around player and durable. Plus, he’d occasionally wear a cool mask during introductions.

McLeod was the better player over Jenkins the entire time they were here.  Jenkins was a quasi LB who played very well in the box and was basically useless more than 10 yards downfield.

Sirianni doing his best company man job really laying it on thick about how amazing Brazil was.

Hopefully we get some calls from this.

Siri is a company man that’s why he’s still the HC.  Can’t wait to hear Slay’s take on it…

Nick Sirianni looks legitimately happy at this press conference.

It’s old now hopefully it’s rust

Saw a lot of exciting things. Potential of offense looks awesome.  34pts is solid. Hurts at times looked very good but still made too many poor decisions.  Hopefully the new coaches can help over time.  Starting outside CBs look very good. The rest of D was iffy and we'll see.  Packers do have a very good O

It was a big win against a playoff team and a qb they crowned all off season

I know there is all this hype about Rodgers, but I want to see Ringo on the field as much as possible.

We'll see about the Reed thing. Like I said though, where was McLeod at the same time in his career?

To you? I think he's very good slot player. I think it's really clear he's quite good there, he's even better at bringing people down from even than from downhill. And yes, I very much agree on Justin Simmons. I kind of was on the same train if they moved Gardner-Johnson to slot like reasonable people would do, but I wasn't on board with the narrative that they should do that and sit Blankenship. Gotta actually let guys develop.

Both of Hurts’ interceptions are correctable. He wasn’t confused or duped by the defense. He wasn’t zero blitzed into collapsing upon himself like a dying star. He just made bad mistakes.

It’s obvious the entire "can’t wear green down there” was completely overblown - likely "clickbait” material that some seemed to fall for.

Green Bay wore green, 3/4 of the stadium was wearing green and there were Eagles and Packers fans running around that town all week long wearing green.

I hope we didn’t lose Love for the season.

Yes Hurts just made poor mistakes.  I think the offense moved well most of the night and holding a few unproductive plays against him is too harsh. They rarely had to punt,  But the critical mistakes need to go

This may well be the same team as last year.

Ill provide this one glimmer of hope though.

I strongly believe that flawed 10-1 ugly winning team could have ugly won against any team in the league. They were that damn good that they could overcome seemingly any number of frustrating errors and win. They were too talented for most teams, and they were too physical for the finesse teams like Miami.

Ill take 17-0 of these kinds of games. They just need to avoid whatever turmoil hit beginning with the 2nd half of the SF game last year. Its a little scary since we dont know what that was. But if they can avoid that, they can beat anyone in the league without even playing their A game.

Moore called a great game. Every weakness they had last year he rectified. Recognized the faults from last year and did his best to avoid them. No dumb screens, creative and efficient.

Oh man. Those WR screens from last year. How I miss them.... NOT 🙂

He wasn't really tested against the blitz outside of one or two plays. Need to see more there.
