Parsons is probably thinking he'll be able to fleece the team next now

Its still boring and pointless.  But less high speed collisions.

Player safety 👍

Tell that to the Eagles' player that got concussed in this new 'safer' set up.

Guess I'm going to watch the bears with the Miami game on the side

Imagine being a Green Bay fan.  Arguably the hottest team in the NFC to close out last season.  Friday they were afforded two turnovers in the first quarter and couldn’t punch in the ball.  One, the interception was the result of a field slip as much as anything.  Then they got two TDs as the result of field slips.  25% in the red zone.  And their QB got hurt.  Their D gave up 34 points to an offense that spotted them 3 turnovers.  The D has to be saying that they are glad they don’t have to see Smith again in the regular season.

Hurts had some bad plays, for sure.  Needs to adjust how he reacts to pressure.  But he did keep his eyes downfield more.  These were the first live snaps he has had this year. Same with the rest of the team.  The timing on the brotherly shove was off. But that is pretty impossible to practice. That will fix itself.  Not worried.  OL will gel quickly enough.

Reserving to adjust my thoughts after the All22. But defense looked pretty good considering the impact of the field.  Mitchell got better as the game went on DeJean got more snaps than Ricks. Maddox is a quick twitch player and the field hurt that kind of play.  Dean’s coverage still makes me cringe.  But they worked out some wrinkles.

Love the motion.  Loved how Fangio disguised and the Hurtt impact on how the DL played the gaps with some good shifts.  Buckle up, this is going to be a fun ride.

The bolded/underlined isn't something that I am willing to overlook.  That's an organizational decision that has real game consequences.

Giants open with a 3 and out.

Bears have a ton of ex eagles

Didn't know they have deandre Carter also

Some predictably bad offense so far in NY

I think the playoff record stuff with Prescott(or any QB for that matter) is generally dumb. Teams win games not individual players. Watching their playoff games I don't think he played amazing, don't think he played bad either. Just played... normal. That said, I don't think he's a great QB and if they want to pay a non great QB the most in the NFL, that's fine with me.

They'll keep Parsons, but I suspect they won't be active in free agency for a few years because of all these contracts.

The two playoff losses to Green Bay they were down 28-3 and 26-0 before Dak pulled his head out of his arse.  Dak is definitely part of their postseason woes.

I like BLG but this is beyond ESP levels of stupid. Imagine calling someone who just got basically a quarter of a Billion dollars dumb and suggesting he should play a 17 game season at age 31.

Yup.  Not signing that would be a massive risk.  He got $241M guaranteed.  What's the downside, he might have been able to get $260M guaranteed?  Is that worth the risk?   Nope.  Invest this money and he can gain what he might have missed out on with far far less risk involved.

He knows he will  just like the players before him. Jones likes to keep players they've drafted.

Jones said he wouldn't set the RB market but did with Elliott's $90M extension.

The dumbest GM in football strikes again. Without commenting at all on whether Dak is worth the contract (we don’t have the details), carrying him at 55mm on the cap all offseason and allowing your team to lose key pieces…and then extending him is criminal mismanagement. If you wanted to keep him, sign him in March, free up space, and keep some other pieces.

Jerry being terrible at his job is such a blessing for us.

Jerrah doing Jerrah things.

Dak is year-in, year-out ranked anywhere from 8-12. Good enough to make the playoffs, not good enough to win in the playoffs.

Make no mistake, signing him makes it harder for us to win the division while also making it harder for them to be SB champs.

The idiot here is Jerry. Good for Dak. Get paid and don’t risk injury.

And BLG, frankly.

Stroud making some nice plays

So glad that Atl/Pitt and NE/Cinc are my options.

3-0 Giants.

Payton Wilson, TD saving tackle for PIT (+4pt play). The very early comparison vs Hunt/Pickett.

At least we play ATL next week, so not completely void of interest.

This just in... Justin Fields can't play.

Bryce young 😂

I'm in commanders country but they're showing pitt vs atlanta

I want to see how bad the giants are

Looked like a big miscommunication.  WR was just running blindly down the field.

That’s where Hurts is going to settle in once his ups and downs equilibrate.
