Or have money

It's the 8th largest GDP in the world. There's some money there.  Soccer teams don't seem to have trouble making money down there. Now whether or not the locals will be interested in the NFL...that I'm skeptical about.

It used to be #3 until Vin Diesel stole that dudes safe

The NBA will have massive appeal before the NFL makes a dent.

You simply asked why Brazil, and I pointed to its large population and its market potential. People in Brazil are definitely interested, no idea why you would think otherwise.

Leave the green at home.

There are so many teams with no green that the league could have chosen for this

I've often wondered. As an Eagles fan, if we could re-live Donovan McNabb or Mike Vick in an alternate universe, which would you choose?

-Donovan McNabb with better weapons from day 1. Guys like TO, DJack and Maclin

OR

-Mike Vick drafted by the Eagles and surrounded by leaders of men and put in the best situation to succeed, not only on the field but as a man.

I'm torn to which I would go with. The end of the McNabb era really tainted my memories of him, but damn he was so good. I was a Mike Vick fan since VT so it's easy to say I'd love to see him as an Eagle from day 1. Which scenario could have brought the Eagles a SB first?

Easily Vick. Have him study the game early and keep him out of trouble. We get multiple Lombardi's and he's in the HoF

I think one problem the NFL is going to have in non-U.S. centric countries is people understanding the rules. I worked with guys from the Windward Islands in the Caribbean. Football = Soccer, U.S. Football = pig pile. The rules for U.S. Football are complex and sometimes nonsensical compared to sports popular in other countries.

Stop forcing your politics on the team Hollywood Lurie.

Reid was essentially a rookie head coach then too who says Vick even listens to him?

Bro, he had a binder. A binder!

Home opener is really the best option though. You certainly wouldn’t want to do all this in the middle of the season.

Plus by playing Friday, they get rest after.

And it's only 1 hour time zone difference, better than going to Europe.

Agreed, this is horrible, you should definitely boycott the team by not watching any of the games and immediately deleting your account on the EMB. It's the only way Lurie will get the message.

I’d be willing to bet that’s not real.

The NFL saw dollar signs and looked to find teams that have large international appeal and/or fans that travel well.   The color schemes took a MAJOR backseat OR, the NFL didn't do enough due diligence in identifying Sao Paulo as the site to understand the nuances.

The sign seems real but I’m assuming someone is stealing the team’s trademark and it isn’t actually affiliated with the Eagles. Regardless of candidate, I don’t think teams market and outright endorse political candidates. At least I don’t recall any.

Hopefully @VaBeach_Eaglecan make it so any text that has "@_MLFootball" automatically changes text to like "Poop" or just censor it as profanity so people can't embed tweets from that clown account anymore. I and others have been stressing for a while how that account posts nothing but fake news trash yet people still keep sharing content from it.

Lurie may be very progressive, but I don’t think he wants the heat and distinction of being the first major American sports franchise to formally back a political candidate.  Bad for business, even in Philly.

And if he did want to stick his neck out like that, I think he would have leaned into it with some sort of formal announcement involving the website, not doing the reveal with a random sign on a Philly street corner.

Lurie and the players can endorse whoever they want individually. Some players support Trump, other Harris. I don’t care. But doing so as an organization seems wrong considering there may be those working within the organization that don’t want to be lumped in with support for whoever candidate is being pushed. It’d be a selfish move.

Yea and Lurie is pretty sophisticated with these things…I don’t think he’d do it.

The sign is definitely real and RTK should definitely still boycott by deleting his account. These are the facts of the matter and they are undisputable.

Is he?  He didnt let the team visit the White House after the Duper Bowl because of his own personal politics.

What a surprise, MLFootball spreading BS again.
