Or Daniel Jones? That number needs some background or explanation.

I heard somewhere Hurts had the most turnover worthy plays of all QB’s in Week 1. They must heavily factor that in their grades. That’s the only thing I can think of.

Ah crap.  And I just bought this new mat off of Amazon!

I guess I'll have to try to return it.   Let me just jump to find out what the outcome will be.

Bummer.... I got 'Think Again'.

Not sure I understand the point this guy is making. If anything, it shows how bad the play was. This ball should have been throw at the 15 second mark when AJ is breaking open and the throw should have led him to the end line. Instead, Hurts waits and waits and waits, throws across his body, which makes AJ slip.

It should have been thrown, from the pocket without rolling right, to Goedert to the left side of the end zone.

Everything after Hurts leaving the pocket was BAD.  And that falls on Jalen, because he never should have left.  In other words: 100% Jalen's fault.

Yeah he was easily worse. Then there's Levis, Caleb Williams, Daniel Jones, Bryce Young, Bo Nix and I'm sure a couple others who were absolute dogshit. PFF has to be trolling right now if that's a legit grade they gave Hurts.

Or just PFF doing PFF things.

I just watched the Eagle Eye Podcast and both Dave and Reub think the Eagles should walk all over the Falcons on MNF. Then Reub mentioned that Cousins is terrible on MNF. He's 3-10 all time on MNF. They then brought up that it's the technical home opener, they are honoring Nick Foles etc. I just got a sinking feeling that brought me back to the Reggie White MNF Seattle game and the Joe Webb game.

The Eagles SHOULD dominate this game, but ugh, it has all the makings for an Eagles stinker too. Never fails when a player has a never does well in this situation against the Eagles.

@mattwill

Eagles- 45

Vikings- 23

Saquon - 185 yards total, 2 TD.

Quinyon - 2 INTs

Carter - sack, FF

Jalen is actually very good in the pocket and the numbers back that up. People get caught up with him running and breaking the pocket, and I want him to do less of it. Because he’s shown he’s more than efficient when he doesn’t break contain.

Don’t point. Throw it. Of course you had no reason to bail, so why bail?

Six, by my count. Two INTs, two shoulda been INTs, two fumbles. Not all his fault, but…

Yeah, I don’t understand how anyone could watch Hurts last game and come away with the idea that he didn’t make a lot of unnecessary, high risk decisions.

It is what it is.

The good news is that Hurts is actually pretty darn good throwing from the pocket when he actually does it. Can coaching fix this and teach him to be more patient and throw in rhythm? Theoretically, yes, absolutely. In practice, it’s more complicated. Some players just get stuck in behavioral ruts that they never overcome.

I read he was well over the limit and it took a bit to pull over. I can't verify,  but I'd assume that's why there were so many. That also gets LEOs amped up.

When you are pulled over you are in their world and you can't be non compliant about certain things. He actually put the window up in the middle of the stop and didn't immediately put it down when asked. Huge no no.

The cop was over the line, but he shouldn't get special treatment. If any of us did that regardless of color we'd probably be taken out of the car as well because LEOs don't put up with that BS. It sounded like he was mouthing off before that as well.

He will get fired, but Hill absolutely contributed to that.

Both did stupid things but it could have all been avoided if Tyreke Hill just rolled his window down, kept it down, didn't start running his mouth off at the cops, kept quiet, gave them his license and registration, got his ticket and he'd be on his way.

I'm so tired of people complaining about abuse from the cops when they are being uncooperative and not complying with them.  It's one thing if you are being cooperative with police and they still use excessive force.  Then you have a case.

All the times I've ever gotten pulled over there were plenty of instances when the cop was a d-bag and I wanted to tell him off so bad.  Guess what, I dont.  Hill and any other person can do the same.

My guess is those 3 turnovers must have huge impact on PFF’s rating system. I mean Jalen was bad but not dead

Last bad

Love the Animal House reference and for the newbies around here....it's almost laughable how many times the actual movie has been quoted on here and it never fails..when someone posts "Was it over...when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"...someone actually comes in here and tries to correct it.

Most Eagles fans are saying Jalen had a bad game (for various reasons). His supporters are conceding that as fact. His detractors are giddy because they have a long week to criticize him unchallenged.

It's weird that a PFF grade (that basically states as much) has people unhinged.

As I always argue, Stats + grades give a better contextual picture of what happened out there than just stats alone. His passer rating was about 80 which is better than some other QBs in week 1, but some of those other guys didn't have as much help from teammates. PFF grades only reflect what an individual did and doesn't take play results into account. So if you have a good or decent passer rating and a bad PFF grade, you probably had a lot of help on a bad day. Of course, the reverse can be true as well.

Over the last couple years, Jalen has had a lot of high single game grades. I'm not worried about 1 off night that everybody agrees was below his standard.

The turnovers themselves don't have any impact, the potential for turnovers does have an impact.

This is the issue with Hurts.  He MUST correct it if he is going to take the step forward that is necessary for him to do in order to be a top 5 QB.
