Saints are banged up, if that matters

We might hold them to 38 points instead of a 40 burger!

Hurts and getting sick on a MNF game go hand in hand anymore

Of course not "always," QBs call audibles and improvise at times. He's been with Siri for 3 years, entering his 4th. If he were not executing what the coaches call, you think Nick would just allow it for 3 years? So in trying to blame Hurts, you're also saying Nick is a bad head coach who can't manage a QB and get him to execute the called plays.

I mean what can Nick do?  He can't bench Hurts.  I'm also not putting all blame on Hurts but he has his share.  So does Sirianni.  So does the defense.

Bottom line is you have to win games.  Nick will be gone if he doesn't and he knows that.  Problem is I'm not sure if his replacement, whoever that may be, will be any better with a QB who, let's face it, is a limited one.

Last year everyone (not here necessarily) got on his case for his lack of emotion, he's not making it about him, he's trying to give the fans what they want. But I don't mean to get in the way of the hating.

No.

Was he looking at the tablet with Moore between drives, or was he sitting by himself on the bench?

ESP conveniently left out context and the full quote.

He noted the atmosphere and a big game, and that it takes all phases of the team (ST, defense as well) and "we need everyone, and I mean everyone." He noted the fans in the stadium and their energy.

This is a general comment for every game and every press conference: fans need to watch the full video to get context and note the non-verbal and how things were said. The reporters post their take and put quotes out of context, then fans overreact and hate on the players for no reason.

Yep. It goes from he's not vocal enough, to he's too vocal. He doesn't show emotion, now showing emotion is being too cocky and selfish. They are never happy.

AJ won’t be playing if he’s not even practising yet

I don't think it's the same people though.  Some want him to be vocal and some don't like it.  Same with emotion.

This is why athletes shouldn't listen to fans or media on the internet.

I actually liked that he did show emotion. I want a QB that gets fired up.

Not a goof that eats gas station sushi and sits on the sidelines by himself in silence.

Jordan Davis is a good player. He just doesn't play enough snaps to justify his draft position and upcoming salary. Give me a Jordan Davis pick ahead of Reagor/Barnett all day long. The upside was there.

I still think there's time to turn this around (Not SB contender, but playoff contender). It starts with better coaching and protecting the DL more than the secondary. The DL coaching has been abysmal.

No he’s not.

Have we come to accept the fact that Hurts is simply mediocre?

Have said this for years.
