I think for the same reason they aren't letting White see the field.  Howie is putting his priority of wanting to trade White and Rodgers so keeping them inactive over letting Fangio have them available to use.

He was competing against a first round pick that had to prove he earned the starting spot.  Once he did, you don't put him back on the bench.    

 

But, I hear he has uber high trade value.  We should be able to trade him for a stud DE to fix the pass rush.   I wonder if Derek Barnett is available for trade.  🤔

To be honest, I'd prefer them have worked Dejawn in at S from the very first mini-camp. I think his skillset is a natural fit there but apparently they wanted yet another slot corner instead.

It's a completely idiotic take. Brown played every game in 2022, and every game in 2023 other than the playoff game. So you're basically looking at 2020 and 2021 Hurts vs. 2022 and 2023 Hurts. Shocking news -- young player improves with experience. 

Cowherd is a moron, but also somehow the smartest guy on FS1.

How do you tweak a foot during a walkthrough? I'd bet anything he did it while dancing during practice. 

 

 

I know you'd want to keep Q at outside, but for this game I'd go Slay/Rodgers outside and Q inside when we go nickel. And Q and Slay on the outside in base. The Saints run a lot of 12 personnel, so we shouldn't be in nickel nearly as much. I'd try and get the best players on the field. I'm not sure DeJean is ready.

I'm not sure either.    Then again, I'm not sold on Rodgers outside either.   Let the kids play.   If we are going to look like garbage defensively, at least let the young kids look like garbage and learn in the process. 

Rodges has not seen the field yet.  Guys saying Howie may want to bubble wrap him for trade.  Let him play so we know if he is worthy the team keeping him for 1+ season.

Slay is on the down side of his career.  All for playing the young CBs over him.

Fangio has been talking about trying to keep it simple for the rookies and have them focus on just one position, and he considers nickel to be different than outside. In his press conference the other day, he said DeJean didn't get many snaps this past week since he was only focusing on nickel and not dime, which he played some in week 1.

I don't think he wants to move Q since he's doing so well and DeJean needs to learn nickel this year. DeJean has been practicing for 4+ weeks now, he should be relatively up to speed. I don't even think Rodgers is ahead of Ringo at this point. Ringo at least got 2 defensive snaps last week, Rodgers still doesn't have any.
