Nice looking bark on that brisket!! To me that and the moistness is the most important part of the brisket.

Here in New Mexico and in Texas they have a chain called Rudy's. Hard to beat their most brisket.  Don't care for their lean brisket which is the flat.  Just too dry for me.  Need to drench it in their sauce which is great BTW.

Been experimenting with smoking on my regular Weber grill.  Works good if you set the coals/smoke packet on one side with the meat on the other.  Brisket gets a good bark without overcooking.  Contrary to public opinion, I like spare ribs better than the baby backs.  They turn out amazing on the Weber.

Yes flats can dry out sometimes. I recently became a fan of spare ribs over baby back ribs myself. This was the first cook I did on that new smoker. Baby backs on the top, spare ribs on the bottom.

That was the first brisket I did on it as well, it was much juicier.

Do any of you guys get together and tailgate at home games? Hell I would cook a brisket, freeze it, and send it on dry ice for y’all to have. You could reheat it using a sous-vide and you would never know it was frozen. Maybe get a few bad ass  cheese steaks from you guys in return.

I do sometimes wonder if the tragedy led to a little overstatement of what kind of player he was.

Absolutely not, he was a game wrecker as a DT. Only played four years I think, but I know for sure he had a year with double digit sacks too.

He was one of those bad ass guys that Miami was churning out back in the day. They were a football factory.

Right on.  I am sure the Philly guys would take you up on that.  Hoping to get out there for the Falcons game.  Depends if my buddy gets it done on his elk hunt or if we go the distance 😅

Brazil is only an hour ahead of EST.

That’s my point. It’s not a ten hour flight across the dateline or something. It’s a ten hour flight to basically the same time.

Huge difference

I got tasty kakes while out in Vegas a month ago don't see them much in the Midwest besides the brief period Walmart carried them.

Stuck to the basics though kandy cakes and butterscotch crumpets.

Whatever happened to entenmann's crumb cake? They used to have the regular and then came out with a ultimate version or whatever. Now they just have them in small muffins

We have regular crumb cakes on the east coast

@mattwill

Eagles - 32

Packers - 27

Bonus:  There will be at least 3 on screen appearances of "celebrities" that have come to take in the game in Brazil.

@mattwill  I'll go 24-23 good guys

Bonus: Feels like the packers get a semi-late FG to make things interesting but can't stop our offense and we drain 4+ min off the clock to end the game.

As for matchups:

QB: As much as Jordan Love looked promising at times, he's still prone to mistakes and misfires, not unlike our own QB. PUSH

RB: Jacobs is a workhorse and has big play ability, but not quite on Saquon's level. EAGLES

WR/TE: No contest. Next question. EAGLES

OL: We won't be as good as last year, but we're still a top-5 unit. EAGLES

DL/EDGE: New look unit with a new DC, so lots of open questions on our side, but Carter looked the part before his injury and I think Huff is going to surprise anyone who isn't already familiar with him, but the Pack had some real solid players here too. PUSH

LB: McDuffie seemed solid in what little I recall seeing of him and Quay Walker shows flashes of being great, then shows flashes of being mediocre; he has flaws in his game, but his flaws are comparable to the best of what we've seen from anyone on our side. PACKERS

DB: Slay is aging, CJGJ is solid, but we have unproven guys almost everywhere else. We just can't quite compare to guys like Jaire and former NYG McKinney. PACKERS

Really making him work for it here

Season: 11-6

GB game: 27-24 Eagles. Bonus: Quinyon Mitchell INT

Holy s*** lads, football is back.

I am going to miss the offseason foot talk though.

Entenmann's had these things called cake truffles a year ago that were really good. Unfortunately I think they were a limited time thing as they seemed to only be around a couple months. Entenmann's always seems to have limited time things that they never bring back.

I think Bryce Huff is one of the 5 most important Eagles. If he can replicate Reddick's sack production I think this defense will be just fine. If he looks like a guy who was a one year wonder and can't handle increased snaps, this defense will have issues.

A rather big question mark
