My hype is at a negative for this game.  More annoyed that I have to watch an incoming blowout loss.

Even if the Eagles get creamed, I still think on paper they have more talent than the Saints. I'm starting to wonder if the Eagles have talent development issues. I think Howie has had his share of major mistakes. But you telling me they can't get anything out of Davis, Carter, Nolan, Dean? Like, c'mon. And then I think of Barnett looking awful here, leaving, and looking good in Houston and I start to wonder if this team has issues developing talent.

Some teams seem to be very good at squeezing every last drop out of the talent they have and the Eagles it seems like they struggle to find ways to get the most out of their players.

I'd imagine it's a coaching/scheme problem on defense. They want to win with a front 4 that has basically one dangerous pass rusher (Carter), who gets doubled all game because no one can win one on one on the outside

One Hour until Kickoff Predictions Thread update

I will be taking predictions right up to Kickoff.

70 predictions recorded thus far.  19 for an Eagles win and 51 for a Saints win. The last 10 predictions went 1 for the Birds and 9 for the Saints.  There isn't a lot of joy in Mudville.  The average predicted score continues to be Eagles 23 and Saints 36.

As always, please tag your prediction post with @mattwill that way I will be sure to see/record it.  Score predictions can also have an optional "Bonus Pick" tiebreaker prediction.

Here are the 70 predictions alphabetically by screen name.  If you don't see your name on the list, then I haven't recorded a prediction for you:

That will fix that

Maddox is still the NCB

He's such a dork, I can't wait to be rid of him. Can't believe Lurie kept him.

Let’s see if Dotson gets more than one target

I can. I get a bad sense all HC hires for the foreseeable future are going to be those in the Nick Sirianni mold. We may be rid of Siri after, (or maybe even during if things get bad enough the next 2 games) the season, but I think we're just going to get Siri 2.0.

This.  Nothing is going to change as long as Lurie and Howie are here

Maddox at nickle against a team that wants to run the ball is going to drive me insane.

I'm hoping the defensive issues are a bit overblown.

I'm not seeing them get consistently physically outmatched and dominated. The players are in the wrong gaps, blowing coverage, and thinking a lot more than reacting. I'm hoping to see some improvements today and something to build on for next week. Fangio took some blame in his PC earlier in the week, but lets see some results on the field.

This just goes to show what an azzclown Nick is. McGregor is the ultimate quitter with no heart. He thought he was going to run through Nate Diaz in their first fight and when Diaz fought back McGregor wilted under the pressure. Dude has also never been the same since he got that big Floyd pay day, has barely fought, and has made more news for being an unhinged coc head who beats up old men in bars. That's the guy you want the team to draw inspiration from? I am counting down the days until that clown gets canned.

He couldn't beat Gylenhal in Roadhouse either.

I saw that on facebook and was hoping it was fake

Man I hope this isn't a bloodbath.

Last night was so great and still riding that buzz into today.

I should just go to the pool.

But I know that's not happening.

@mattwill on top of my Goedert 300 yards receiving. Give me Covey, 9 catches for 14 yards.

Hurts, talks post-game last week. They watch a video this week. What does Sirianni do? Press play?

Eagles aren’t going to be able to hear themselves think

Not a PSU fan, but if we're ready to replace Goedert, Ty Warren would be incredible. He's been unstoppable all year.

PSU TEs are usually pretty good bets for the NFL.

Easily going to be a bloodbath. Kamara is going to have 200 all purpose and 4 TDs

Go Birds.

I just hope we have fun.

Wow the ending to this Colorado/Baylor game.

Wow.  Weirdly reminiscent of the Hail Mary from Kordell Stewart to Michael Westbrook with Colorado at Michigan.

@mattwillforgot to add a bonus last week.

Saints offense has over 500 yards
