Ringo has a heck of a lot more long term upside than Rodgers.  So does Dejean.  Rodgers obviously did something very right this offseason by getting himself locked in as a top 3 CB on the team.  He's got big speed in a secondary that was very, very slow last year.  But let's not forget that he's a 6th round pick that has never really been that good in the NFL.  We are suddenly treating him as some immediate answer and upgrade.

I felt Ringo was the best DB on the team late last year (granted, that's a bar that Hollis Thomas could jump over).  I'm not going to bemoan him getting more snaps.

What probably happens, however, is that we just see Maddox in the slot.  He'll play well there.  He just wont give them more than a few games.

I wish I had a few now that you mention it...here is how I come up with this take...

LB is the biggest position of need for the Eagles. They have a talent rich roster. If the season is going as well as it should (W/L wise) and there isn't growth/development at the LB position I think they do whatever it takes to get back to the SB...there are pieces that could be moved.

Only one hole in your argument.  Howie wouldn't know a good LB if he was being tackled by him.

Do you want to rely on a 170 lb one handed corner to tackle?  Defend the run?

Preachin to the choir, fam

I think Ringo's floor is probably a better, more athletic version of Jalen Mills. Gets beat sometimes, but he's tough and delivers when it matters. Hope he balls out Friday and stays on the field.

I think he is a bit faster than Mills was.

Whatever weight Jordan Davis lost, it looks like he put right back on. Dude's still huge.

Dude is huge… I’m not sure he’s a guy that will ever look slim.

There isn’t one redeeming talent on this NBC panel. Just a brutal crew.

God, I hate the attention they give her. However, I’d love to shoot her club up. Wink, wink.

That’s how you end up on a watch list.

To be fair, would it really take a "good" LB to tackle a guy like Howie Roseman?

Go Chiefs. I don't like Ravens

I keep seeing people say stuff like that, but the truth is he was playing very well for the colts in 2022. Where somebody is drafted is irrelevant, so I'm not really going to waste time on that. But the dude overcame lower expectations upon entering the NFL to work himself into a pretty good player, becoming a starter in the 2nd half of 2022. In 2022, he had an 82.1 grade from PFF and had the 5th highest coverage grade among NFL CBs. He had a 70.7 grade in 2021 and a 73.9 grade as a rookie (in a much smaller sample). Obviously he missed all of last season because of the suspension and the final 2 games of 2022 because of an injury, but he stayed prepared physically and mentally and has picked up with the Eagles where he left off with the colts.

It's not the surprise some people are making it out to be. He tasted success at this level and experienced a setback. He's hungry to move forward, building on the success.

TBH, if he had been reinstated at any point last season, he would have been an immediate upgrade, if not an answer. We are just in a much better position depth-wise this season.

Are the chiefs playing another team?? Is the chiefs the only team there?

I don't think a weight loss was ever reported. He said he was still around 350 lbs when all those reports about him looking better came out. In the infamous pick he was wearing a black shirt and that is "slimming." I believe the reports that he worked on little things and turned some fat weight into muscle weight. He certainly looked quick in the limited TC footage. All that matters is how he plays and how far he can go before wearing down.

I’m thinking a more athletic Rasul Douglas. A little stiff but plays the ball well. Just a lot faster.

This song sucks!

A starter for the second half of 2022.  Yeah…he’s not someone you hang your hat on.

Game 15 minutes late?

JFC wasn’t this game supposed to start 20-25 mins ago?

F the chiefs. That is all

We haven't even kicked off yet and I'm already tired of Collinsworth.
