I would be remiss if I did not include Barkley's 65-yard run.

The Eagles run an IZ but watch the backside LB. Mailata has the DE 1 on 1. Dickerson and Jurgens double the DT. Steen 1 on 1 on the back side. Johnson and Goedert double the DE.1422212992_2024-09-26(35).thumb.png.7b5c343b41154864def6b2e97e07b841.png

Mailata turns his man out. Dickerson climbs to the second level. Jurgens has pushed his man back into the LBJohnson and Goedert have buried the backside DE and the LB stands there, because his man was Hurts.

A huge hole opens off tackle and Saquon is gone.

A lot of things went into this play. The trips to this side, the ROs. Bubble screens to the trips side. More than anything, though, this was simply a great piece of blocking by the whole OL, with two backups, and the play following Devonta's injury. Clutch.

All-22 Second Half.

Starting with a really pretty run by Saquon. Everybody blocks.

Jurgens, Steen and Johnson block down. Calcaterra, in motion left to right crosses to seal the edge. Dickerson pulls behind him.

Calcaterra is big enough to block the rushing CB, which he does. Dickerson pushes the DE wide. You can see the lane opening for Saquon.

Johnson climbs to the second level and blocks the MLB. Godert blocks the SS. That lane is huge.

The MLB,who started on the 25, is now back at the 29 and finally getting off Johnson. DeVonta has blocked the RCB. The FS is coming up.

Saquon is finally touched as he crosses the 30 brought down at the 35. First touched almost 10 yards across the LOS. Never saw that in NY.

Just a beautiful play.

OK - But why aren't you sharing the leftover Roast Chicken recipe?

Without AJ Brown and Smith I think the Eagles offense sputters again.  I don’t trust Hurts to lean on Goedert two weeks in a row.

Bonus — Hurts 2+ picks, Eagles D has 3+ sacks

Like it or not, Goedert may still be the main target, if Brown and Smith will miss the game.  Dotson and Campbell could get a few more plays also.  Hurts has to do a better job going thru progression.  Without the top 2 WR targets, the progression becomes far more important.

NFL is serious about safety 🤡

Its a joke.  Penning should have been ejected for what he did.  That was inexcusable and he's a repeat offender.

Red Thai curry paste, Coconut milk, hot sauce. Bring to simmer. Shred and stir in the chicken. Once heated, serve over rice

As I said before, I blame the back judge. That play should have been blown dead long before.

Add in some fish sauce and that's pretty much my basic combo for a quick curry.

The problem is there are no rules or boundaries with NIL. The NCAA really botched it. If they laid the groundwork for what can and can't be done with NIL and set limitations on transfers they could have saved face and done a lot for the future of the game. Instead there's nothing, literally nothing. It's one of the main reasons Nick Saban retired. He said it's the Wild West out there. Dave Portnoy just said he'll buy a QB every year for Michigan up to $3 million. There's no rule that says he can't. It's absurd. All they had to do was create some sort of regulations and they didn't. It's going to get a lot worse before things get better, if they do. It's sad.

They did adopt rules and those rules were halted via a Court injunction because the Rules violated anti-trust law earlier this year.  I don't see a problem with Portnoy offering $3 million dollars for a QB.  It's his money.  Frankly, these types of gifts and payments for athletes have been happening since the earliest days of college football.  It's now just public and players are not getting punished.  It was the height of hypocrisy for the NCAA to accept $100's of millions of dollars in revenue for football while begrudging the athletes any income for their labor that produces the revenue.  The NCAA has approached the whole issue from the perspective of protecting the schools instead of protecting the athletes.  If they took the approach that players can try to maximize their value but we want to protect them from being exploited, they would have likely avoided the wild west that is currently ongoing.

Hurts doesn't even know he's out there.

He rarely throws to the 3rd guy or RB’s. Not sure trading a 3rd for him will have been worth it.

Steen with a nice pancake block too.

This OL depth is gonna net us some serious comp picks  (too soon?)

That pancake actually ended functioning like a cut block on half those guys

I was referring to the thrashing that Slay got on the sidelines.  That's jail time if it happens in a bar.

He also blocked Slay into one his own teams coaches. Not the brightest bulb in the bunch.

Once again Hurts with multiple turnovers.

Could it be more serious and they aren't saying?

It's more serious than Nick said during the one PC, but it pretty much lines up with everything else.

Brown said he'll be out a couple weeks, which he is. They didn't put him on IR because he would then have to miss the Browns game after the bye. Everything points to them being presumably cautious and have him in line to return for the Browns game.

@mattwill

hard one not knowing who’s playing.

Eagles 19  Bucks 17  turnover free game.

Just hope it doesn't turn out to be like that time with Jackson where they should have just put him on IR
