Bonus: Hurts zero turnovers (has to happen eventually, right?)

Yes, the following week.

Milton Williams popped up on the injury report as limited with a groin.

These mid week practice injuries are getting a little ridiculous

I think they’re carryovers from the games. The player got banged up, thought it was minor, but hadn’t shaken it by midweek. Happens a lot. BTW, the Bucs injury report was 16 guys. Sixteen!

@mattwill

This game isn’t about Hurts, or the missing WRs/olinemen.  This game should be looked at as an exorcism of last season.  Collectively, though short handed (this is week 4, so Bucs are too), the Eagles come together to exorcise Bowles.  If fully loaded, it would’ve been our first blowout in the better part of a year.

Williams wasn’t on the report at all yesterday though. It would be a little weird to practice in full and then be limited today.

NFL is serious about safety 🤡

TBH, I don’t blame the player.  No whistle, play is live.  This is 100% on the refs.  Now was he the same guy who ‘jumped on the ball’ too though.

No that was Payton Turner who I guess didn’t get fined

As I said before, I blame the back judge. That play should have been blown dead long before.

I’m curious what happens behind closed doors sometimes with refs.  The NFL very rarely comes out and calls them out publicly.  They get paid quite a bit too.

I thought the hitter was #97, and the guy who jumped on the ball was #98... or vice versa.

I could be that incompetent for their pay.  Heck, I might even be a little better.  Maybe.   I'd even take half their pay.  I'd get paid roughly what I get now... and I'd only work a small number of weeks a year.   The rest of the time I could work on my Madden skillz.

97 hit, 98 jumped from what I’m seeing.  No clue who is what number TBH though.

Without AJ Brown and Smith I think the Eagles offense sputters again.  I don’t trust Hurts to lean on Goedert two weeks in a row.

Bonus — Hurts 2+ picks, Eagles D has 3+ sacks

AJ Brown and Smith and Covey

With the exception of Goedert all the receivers are new.

Campbell, Dotson and Ross isn't a bad trio compared to what we have rolled out in the past.

To be fair, Covey is relatively 'new' as a receiver as well.

Fair enough

You weren't impressed by Deontay Burnett, JJAW, Jalen Reagor, Greg Ward and Travis Fulgham?  That's what the 2020 Eagles group of WRs were after Alshon Jeffery and the aged DeSean Jackson were both injured.

The refs are certainly to blame. The rule prohibits helmet to helmet hits for player  safety.  He could have avoided the helmet.  A $6,400 fine is too little of a disincentive to keep them from happening.

Did Nabers call his coach Brian Napalm?
