Yeah, but there were other backs to be had.  Hell, Ray Davis would have been a really good fit for them IMO.  Instead of picking Marist Liufau at 87 they likely could have traded down and still got picks before 128 that they could have snagged Davis plus someone else with.

The much bigger issue with the Dallas run game is playing a rookie at LT who never played LT in college, and a rookie at C who never played C in college. Guyton and Beebe may end up being great players (I am higher on Beebe), but taking 2 rookies and playing them out of position is a disaster for a team that wants to actually compete. Guyton is learning on the job and he has some good moments and some bad ones; the consensus on him coming out was that he wouldn't be ready to play right away. Add in that Steele is a below average RT, and this is why I thought Dallas would regress this year.

People get hung up on the RB, but the OL is the key. Sanders and Swift made pro bowls behind our line, and now both have gotten benched with their new team.

"Things work out" is a very interesting response to Devonta Smith getting knocked out

Bryce Huff for Reddick straight-up...which team says no?

HELL YES they’re at practice.

Excluding cap ramifications, if the Eagles can't admit the L on that swap and undo it, then they're letting their egos cloud their judgement. In a vacuum, no sane front office would take Huff over Reddick. That would just be them trying to justify their mistake because they don't want to admit they were wrong.

If they can just snap their fingers and go back in time, sure. But they would have to take on $30+M in dead cap to swap them now which makes the trade basically impossible, unless the Jets can take some of that burden which I don't even know if it's an option.

I'm still holding out hope that the team eventually starts having two-score leads in the second half and Huff will be able to provide some impact.

Not sure if this was posted earlier...

Next two games...Steelers away, Lions at home.

Then a bye followed by the Niners away.

Yup -- it's a disaster from a cap perspective. The Eagles would have to eat all of Huff's signing bonus -- I don't think they can spread it out to 2025, so that would cost them almost $12mm against the cap and basically eat up all their 2024 cap space. That leaves no room to fit Reddick's salary. If you could spread the hit out and move the Huff dead money to 2024, you still can't really fit Reddick without a restructure. The finances make it unworkable and we really don't have people we can restructure for 2024 relief.

On top of that, and can't remember who said this on Twitter, it doesn't seem like players were all that upset that Haason was traded. I doubt the FO or locker room wants him back at this point.

I wanted to keep Reddick

It would spread somewhat because it's a post June 1st move. So just this year's signing bonus would hit the cap this year and everything else next year.

Can we get losses to the Lions & Steelers?

The Jets probably.

It's literally a potato chip making the block.

The only thing they'd be on the hook for is the signing bonus. His guaranteed option bonus for next year would move to the Jets.

Also, no chance Howie gives up on Huff after 3 games.

The only way we would get Reddick would be to send the Jets a pick (maybe the one they sent us) if they eat a chunk of his money, and no chance the Jets do that. Reddick is going to have to show up around week 10 to get credit for the year.

So do you think God called Howie and told Howie to tell Nick to call, or did God call Nick directly?

What am I thinking.  God called Big Dom.

They might have losses until they play the Giants again on Thanksgiving.

The Eagles.  That would be a massive cap hit for the Eagles trading Huff.
