The fact that White and Dean are listed as co-starters at LB, with Baun an unquestioned starter, is surprising to me. But it's the PR staff.

The phonetical pronunciations at the bottom are hysterical.

Mosher and Caplan supposedly said they thought there was a chance Dean starts over White. That was before this was released.

How close can Hurts get to 2022 form?
How good will Mitchell look as a rookie CB?  More like Sauce or more burnt toast?

How good will Carter/Davis be without any help from Cox?  Can Milton Williams be an excellent third DT?

Can Jurgens play at close to a Pro Bowl level? (I mean real Pro Bowl)?

Can Saquon carry the load as a bell cow RB and how much Gainwell/Shipley gets mixed in?

Will Goedert get targets 10 yards downfield or one yard downfield?

Hurts is setup for success so much this season that I think people will be mad if he doesn't have a career year

Am I the only one who thinks the Packers hype has gotten way out of hand? Seeing plenty of people picking them to win the Super Bowl, calling them the second best team in the NFC, etc. They won 10 games last year, and there were basically 3 good wins: at Lions, home against KC and the playoff win in Dallas. They beat the Lions on Thanksgiving, then beat the Chiefs the next week with a rest advantage, and beat the ultimate chokers in the playoffs. Their other wins were 2 against the Bears, Saints, Rams (with Brett Rypien at QB), Chargers, Panthers and Vikings. They lost to the Falcons, Lions, Raiders (!!), Broncos (!!!!), Vikings, Steelers, Giants (!!!), Bucs and 49ers. Jordan Love is already being hyped as the best QB in the NFC off a good 8 game stretch. When this team was 3-6 midseason, people thought Love was a bust.

Seems way overdone.

Lions are still a playoff favorite. Plus Bears were built pretty well but we just don't know about the QB yet

AFC is still pretty stacked

I think it's dumb that they have multiple captains anyway.  I could see maybe one per position group, but now it's just give every older veteran plus the QB and maybe one other star player captain so no one's feelings get hurt.

I think it really should just be 1 on offense and 1 on defense 🤷‍♂️

Yeah I misspoke - I didn't mean one per position group.  One for offense, one for defense, and maybe one for special teams.  That's it.

He has everything at his disposal on offense. Top 3 WR, top 12 WR, top 5 RB, top 7 TE, a legit WR3, and still one of the best olines in the league (even without Kelce). Not to mention Moore's offense.

Zero excuses for the humbled 255 million dollar man. Hopefully he spent the offseason working on his mechanics and watching film instead of being a taint and filming Hulu commercials

His flag football commercial for the 2028 Olympics is pretty dumb too. We all know he can't throw that far nor does he have the accuracy to hit the torch on top of the LA Coliseum

3rd rounder a few years ago. Feels like the Eagles are just collecting former top 3 round picks this offseason who haven't performed well and hoping some stick.

Wonder if Howie adds Yannick at some point

This Brazil trip keeps just going great

Stupid Eagles think WR3 is a real thing. LOL

I didn't see a 3 there.   You would think you would want your argument to be right.   There are 3 different WR spots.  But it's not WR1,  WR2,  WR3.

@mattwill

13-4

I think this is going to be as good or better than the 2022 team.

Hurts is poised to take the next step, all reports out of camp had him in complete control of this offense.

Barkley is a huge addition, there are only a few elite RBs, and he was buried behind an awful OL, now imagine a 230 lb RB with 4.4 speed with big holes. Plus he's an all around RB so your offense isn't constrained with him the game, run, block and can run the wheel route (which really stresses a defense).

Adding Dotson really upgrades the receiving group, now Covey/Wilson give you package options (one quick and dangerous in the open field, the other a H-back playing WR). But the base package, with Barkley and Goedert, means you have to cover everyone, every play. If Calcaterra can be a solid TE2, they're set.

Lane's health is key to the offense, they could plug in F Johnson or Kinnard for a game or two (or move Becton outside but he's more comfortable, as is Steen, at LT) but without Lane they're not a top ten group.

Cox could bring it for a play here and there, but wasn't the same player last year. Young group of DL, we'll see if they step up, Carter, Davis, Williams, Booker, Ojomo. Probably mix 3-4 and 4-3 under and 2-4 fronts.

OLB/Edge rushers will be different, Huff looked better in space than Reddick but isn't proven as a full load pass rusher. Hunt has lots of upside as a SOLB, but maybe not this season. Sweat is a pass rushing DE and should be used in that role. Smith/Johnson have to show more than just an outside rush to get significant PT, can either play in space?

ILBs should be much better, faster, more athletic, smarter.

CB is night and day over last season, Slay, Rodgers, Mitchell, with Ringo and DeJean behind them. Look for more coverage sacks.

S is improved as well with CJGJ back, Maddox for half a season (time to get Brown back and DeJean acclimated) and McCollum as an upgrade on the bench.

Moore and Fangio are huge upgrades, I think Johnson wasn't prepared, and Desai ran a watered down version of Fangio's defense. They were hurt by personnel limitations

Just saw that….didn’t even think about how it would affect reporting from the Eagles game.

Sucks if we aren’t going to be able to get updates via X now.

Good for Elon not allowing governments to censor his platform. He's done things I dislike on there, but this is the best thing he's done. We've seen a very disturbing amount of censorship in recent years that simply cannot be normalized. Pavel Durov was just arrested in France for being the CEO of Telegram and not allowing governments to tell him what he needs to disallow on his own platform. And holding him responsible for what people use it for, which is obviously insane. Twitter, Facebook, etc were pressured by the White House to censor certain information. Much of which was actually legit information like the NY Post laptop story, which all social media and news networks have now publicly apologized for censoring or ignoring.

And we have Brazil demanding Twitter delete accounts of people for what the Brazilian government themselves claims is disinformation.

Elon says F you, you can't tell me what to allow on my platform. It's not yours, it's mine. And he's not allowing their threats to ban it to dissuade him. Give them an inch, they'll take a mile. Set that precedent, and it's over. I'm glad he's not backing down. Many companies would. We've seen it before in 2020-2021 when so many people got suspended from platforms for even lukewarm concerns about the COVID shots.

Brazil should focus on making their country safer before trying to police someone else's sofrware.

@mattwill

Esgles started 10-1 last year, but probably won 2 games in that stretch that they should’ve lost.

They finished 1-5 and probably lost 2 of these games they should’ve won

I think the Coordinator and secondary upgrades are worth 2-3 more wins…

I’ll go 13-4

He's not beholden to Brazil's laws. And authoritarian rules are meant to be broken. Good for him for not complying.

You're wrong.

Just 3 different,  identically named,  WR spots.

Like there are 3 different, indentically named DT spots.  And 12 starting spots on the defense.

there is no DT1,  DT2,  DT3.   There is just DT, DT, DT.  and just WR, WR, WR.
