So you weren’t rooting for Barkley the past five seasons when the Giants were playing the Cowboys?

beat me to it

Said my piece but I’ll try explaining my rationale a bit more. McKinney is a box safety and a good one. He led the Giants in tackles from that position. He’s smart and tough and competitive. I see and concede all that. In fact, because Hadley plays mostly single high McKinney will fit well as the box safety and he’ll have to because they typically play two LBs and the Eagles figure to run Saquon a lot. BUT as a single high safety he simply doesn’t have the range. That’s why I think safety will be a problem. If they play two-deep (halves) he’ll be fine BUT if they do that with the light box Saquon is going to go off, PLUS, Hadley likes single high. Single high with AJ, Davonte, and Dotson? And the single high being a rookie? No. Just no.

He doesn't instantly go from 0 to 119 mph, you need to account for acceleration to his top speed

Good point. Plus at that speed his shoes will melt. That’ll slow him down too, to, say, 90.

Devonta.

And McKinney just isn't the liability in coverage you seem to be implying. I get that as a player for an NFCE team, we aren't allowed to say any nice things about them unless and until they play for us (looking at you Saquon!), but he's a smart, instinctive player that's going to make his share of plays defending the pass this season, whether it's against us or other opponents.

I blame auto-correct. I know for a fact that I typed Hafley that’s HAFLEY and it got changed to Hadley. I think I got um Smith’s name right too but maybe not. My sole criticism of McKinney is that he’s not a single high safety. I thought I made myself clear but also maybe not.

I don’t like the guy, but losing family really sucks.  I hope he has a Brett Favre type of performance against the Cowboys this Sunday.

But not like the stealing welfare kind of performance

Does that make my fantasy team name, Watson's Penix Massage, inappropriate now?

I think we're going to struggle to stop them, so I hope Nick maintains the aggressiveness level.

Easier to run the ball on 1st and 2nd down when you're winning to go for it.

Belichick isn't gonna coach again in the NFL. He's loving his freedom and 22 year old girlfriend too much to go back to the grind for two years.

Disagree. If Nick and the boys don’t have a good year he’s gonna be standing on our sideline come next September.

Don't know if this was confirmed but apparently the stadium since it was built for soccer and not football may not have the proper viewing angles for the broadcast cameras so the view might look a little weird on TV.

Maybe the blog can talk me off a ledge.... but lets just say I'm not buying our secondary being fixed just yet
