I thought about Jake, but wondered whether the poor snaps by Lovato were contributing factors that Jake should get a pass for.

Lovato was the name that sprung to my mind based on @FranklinFldEBUpper’s most recent Special Teams Blog entry (admittedly from the Rams game).

Yeah, I guess there are more variables that go into the kicking game, but Jake has just been off the entire year. IIRC, at the beginning of his tenure he had issues with some extra points and shorter FGs, but was weirdly automatic from far away. Now it seems he is completely out of whack and it’s a lottery which Jake shows up.

I would have no confidence in him kicking a deciding FG in the SB. Let’s hope our squad can decide the game before it has to come to that…

I expect the chiefs to feed Kelce after seeing how ertz did vs us

i think we will need to bracket him with dejean/baun and a safety (probably johnson) over the top

reid with run a ton of high/low concepts in the middlle to try and sneak worthy deep

Lambeau is by far the best visiting experience I’ve ever been to. Their fans are incredible and welcomed us with open arms while we were in Eagles gear. Just great people there and a great experience. If you’re into traveling around for games, that has to be #1 on the away game list.

Co-signed…Lambeau is an awesome experience

We finally have a DL coach who can develop pass-rush moves and it's beautiful. MULTIPLE players improved this year: Nolan, Milton, Hunt, Davis. That's coaching.

Only position coach weakness is now WR.

Got jumped in the bathroom at halftime of that NFCCG game in Arizona.  Came out to a uniformed cop standing outside.  Told him what happened.  He looked at my jersey and said "I'm on my f'n break."  And, yeah, getting out was sketch as hell.

After that experience, I decided it really isn't worth it going to away games.  And, to be honest, the Linc is the best stadium and experience so why go anywhere else.

I’ve been to a few Eagles/Bears games at Soldier Field.  Only once did anything happen, and it was a preseason game.  Some guy’s girlfriend or wife was a row behind us and drunk. She was harassing my buddy’s wife.  My friend and his wife are Bears fans and it was their season tickets.  Apparently this woman didn’t like them bringing me and my girlfriend (we were wearing Eagles stuff).  Well my buddy’s wife has a mouth in her and doesn’t take anything from anyone.  She politely told the woman behind us that she belonged in a cage.

The woman behind us launched herself at her and started fighting her.  Security was there pretty fast and broke it up. They knew the woman behind us started it.  It was at the very end of the game, and security stayed with us for protection and escorted us on to the field for us to leave under their watch.  The players were leaving at the same time and security marched us through the same tunnel they were going into.  I found myself walking right next to Big Cat Williams.  Holy hell… I have never felt so small

Yep. Kelce could be a problem. Burks has been playing at a high level since replacing Dean but he's got to play his best game of his life next weekend. Don't let Kelce get rolling. Don't let him start yapping and having his way. After seeing him continually talk trash and taunt during the Bills game, I can see him trying to get into CJGJ's head to see if he can get him to overreact and get a stupid penalty or worse, ejected.

It's way too early to take any of these seriously, but in what world is Jalen Milroe the 3rd best QB let alone 3rd pick in the draft. Now, I'd be thrilled if that's who the NYG picked thinking he was their next franchise QB, because he's anything but.

Good news/bad news- they have the Eagles picking Mykel Williams, who I would be THRILLED with...but they have him being taken at 31, not 32.

Just remembered that we went into the last Superbowl vs the Chiefs with Kenny Gainwell, Boston Scott, and a banged up Miles Sanders. I'm excited.

I'm not sure I'd call it a weakness. Are Brown and Smith not playing as well as they can? I can't exactly blame the WR coach for a 58/42 run/pass ratio. Dotson has looked very good when actually targeted all year. We had two late round draft pick rookies that made the roster and we'll see how they develop.

passer rating when targeted

D. Smith: 120.7

Brown: 121.5

We were last in the NFL in dropped passes with only 7 as a team and had the lowest dropped pass percentage at 1.3%. I know Moorehead rarely gets praise, but I can't find fault with his performance --- especially the last 3 seasons.

It's not like somebody else took JJAW, Reagor, and Watkins and turned them into stars.

Before McKee showed he is capable of being the backup, I liked Milroe as a mid round project to be a backup to Hurts and keep on a rookie deal. But people reach on QBs now and is obviously not worth taking in the first. Guys like Jayden Daniels having the season he had will be why teams will desperately continue to reach on QBs to try to strike gold.

This has ALWAYS been the case, for EVERYONE.  The Kelce/Mahomes combo is the new Brady/Gronk.

It's not new.  They have been playing together for 7 seasons.

That's not how I meant it, phrasing, I just meant they replaced that duo.  Yes I know they've been together for years.  I wasn't saying it just happened recently.

They definitely will.  Actually, our passing game against WA is close to what we will see with the Chiefs: getting  playmaking WR amd TE the ball quickly and letting them run after the catch, with a few downfield throws.  Motion, rollout, 1read plays.

Believe what you want.  I’ve been to games all over the country and I haven’t seen it.   I’ve never been to games in LA or San Fran (what you’re referring to)  but I have been to games in San Diego and I’ve always been treated fine.  Never a single incident.

So no, it doesn’t "happen everywhere” but it does happen in some other cities

And Philly does get a bad rap for a lot of it.  So it makes it that much worse for the rest of us (Philly fans) when some knucklehead at the game does stuff like that.

Does stuff like what exactly?  Did you actually SEE anything happen with this attention hog?   Or are you just believing what he's telling you happened?   We live in a society where innocence, not guilt, is presumed in a court of law.   What evidence do you have to believe this guy's story?    Looks a lot like a guy trying to make a name for himself and get a larger following on the internet, just like the Packer turd, but this guy doesn't have a shred of evidence that anything actually went down.   And you know that if he had it, he'd have plastered it everywhere to get the clicks.   The Packers fan was smart enough to bait the hook and then turn on the camera to get what he was looking for.  This guy... not so much it seems.

I approve this message.

EDIT: I was referring to the tweet...it's really a matter of he's an unknown. Been in the league as an assistant for like 12- 14 years and never really grabbed anyone's attention.

And he was the OC in Dallas... where it wasn't good enough to warrant keeping the HC, but somehow promoting his assistant is a better move?   It could work out, but as Jerry said, "It's not all smiles and glory holes."     Jerry really needs to step away from the microphones.

Oh man, Giants picking Milroe would be on brand.  Hope they do it.

yup...I have been to several away games and a couple of home games. I had a really scary experience in Arizona at the NFCCG a few years back with outside fans arriving to fight Eagles fans all over the place. I have been to Oakland in their infamous "black hole" without any issues. The only place I will not wear colors is the Niners games in Santa Clara. The Niners fanbase has significantly changed from the wine sipping quiche eating folks. It has a hardcore group with many gang members mixed in. You may think you are smack talking a fan when they actually are a gang member dressed in Niners gear. They treat any sign of disrespect as an act against their gang...no thank you!

And somehow that just doesn't make it into the mainstream media.  But, Philly fans threw snowballs AT A DRUNK GUY DRESSED UP LIKE SANTA (not actually Santa Claus.  They are the worst fans in the world.   (Oh, and we booed a draft selection... of course, Giants and Jets fans have done that going back GENERATIONS!)

Oh wow.  That's kinda crazy.

I didn't even ask my dad to come to the divisional game.  He's a rams fan. Not only would he be heckled, or worse. But id be a target,  even in my eagles gear just for being with him.

I've never been to a Dallas game in Philly.  But I can't imagine it's fun for you guys.

I have been to quite a few Dallas games in Philly.   It's... an experience.    But, honestly, I never saw anything crazy.

I did see some morons carrying a Dallas flag at the Eagles Cardinals game at the end of the 1998 season in the Vet.  Someone threw a beer on them from the upper seats... but missed and it landed on the Eagles fans at the top of the 600 level.  That turned into a real brouhaha.   Half the section ended up in a brawl and was ejected from the game.    Funniest part was that there was more action in the stands that day than on the field.  (Eagles and Cardinals were both horrible that year.).

Both are heroes though, as are all who wear the various uniforms.  🫡 :usa:

Yeah I wasn’t really talking about that guy in particular - who knows - could be an attention seeker.  Just a topic of conversation, tbh.
