Earl was he best back I ever saw. His peak only lasted a few years but they were staggeringly brilliants years.

I never saw Jim Brown so I can't compare. My suspicion is that he was even better.

If you win the game without having any fun along the way have you really won? There is a lot you missed out on. There was a lot more game to be played. Side quests.

so many shared stories with other fans. Kids who never knew the pain. Old people who knew it all too well. A day we all dreamt about and many times thought we would die of old age having never seen one.

You know, there were so many fun story lines that we witnessed along the way that year. We just so happened to live in the dumb times of "Dilly Dilly", which became "Philly Philly". They put it in an ad. We named a legendary play after it. And they donated a sculpture. The "hungry dogs run faster" line that became a slogan of "Stoutland University" which is now a big fund raising initiative to help with Luries autism efforts. Carson Wentz on track to win MVP. Nick Foles becoming BDN. The media narratives. Under dogs, dog masks. Stupid Mike Lombardi adding fuel to the fire that ignited Kelces legendary speech. Kelce's mummer outfit.

And so much more.

We didnt just enjoy that season because the guys lined up and played football, and played it safe. 

We enjoyed it so much more, and there were SO many more stories to tell at the parade because of all of the other stuff that helped make the story so special along the way.

 

You know one MAJOR story that will be missing from this season? Barkley breaking the rushing record. Damn shame.

This experience right here…after decades of failure getting to experience that had to be awesome. I know it was for me when the Texas Rangers finally won the series year before last. I legit cried thinking of all the games I watched with my deceased mom and grand parents who were such huge fans and didn’t get to see it.

The most likely injury will be vs Detroit where Kirby Joseph hunts knees, and we probably cant avoid playing them. It will also be before the super bowl. Maybe we should rest him in that game too then.

This.  They already let him get a lot of extra carries to get to 2000 against Dallas.  That was more than enough and everyone would be torching the staff if Saquon got hurt on one of those extra carries when the game was already a 30-point blowout.
