That loss to the Redskins cost them Barrett's interest.

No Hurts at practice again today. At what point does this become concerning?

I remember where I was when the Phillies won the world series and the Eagles won the SB.  It was a life moment for fans.  If that is a fan life moment 10...and winning a championship game is a 7...and a big amazing regular season (NFL/eagles) win is a 3....

Seeing Barkley break the single season rushing record over 17 games...that would be a 2 for me.

You can't argue with it...I'm right.  I'm right because that's what it would mean to me.  What would it mean to you?

Its something to hold on to if this season goes belly up in the post-season.  It makes it that much more special if they win it all in the post-season.

Once upon a time I went to fancy restaurant.  At the fancy restaurant, I got the elk tenderloin steak.  It was tremendous.  But, what really set the evening apart is that before the steak dinner arrived at the table, I was served a wonderful shrimp cocktail, a tasting plate of their filet mignon for the evening and a couple other 'gifts' from the chef.   I went that night specifically for the elk tenderloin... but what I was treated to was so much more.   It would have been an absolutely wonderful experience with just the elk... but add all the other layers in and it was a night to remember.

The Super Bowl is the elk tenderloin.  That's the main attraction, and that's what it was all about... but the other stuff makes the entire season much more enjoyable.  McKee throwing 2 TDs in his debut against the Cowboys.  Barkley's rushing game against the Rams.  The backwards hurdle over the Jags.  All those elements make the whole thing that much more special.

Just like @HazletonEagle said regarding 2017.  That was a special ride pretty much right from the start.   It started with the 61 yard FG by the guy they had just stolen from the Bengals' PS... the Thursday Night game against the Panthers.  The MNF game with Wentz' miraculous escape and the dime to Clement against the Washingteam... all the way up to the final gun of the Super Bowl.   It had all the elements of greatness, and when I get the hankering for a marathon, I can subscribe to NFL Game Pass and relive the entire 2017 wild ride.  I don't limit myself to just the Super Bowl, though it was absolutely great as a stand alone, and I have been known to sit down to take that in by itself on occasion as well.

Well, to a lot of people here he's bad and it won't matter as McKee leads us to a championship.

If he doesn't practice by Tuesday.

Give Shipley all the carries.

We need to know if we must draft a RB in the 2025 draft.

If this wasn't a throw away game and there was going to be real game planning, it might be a concern.

I think that this week is 100% about reps for McKee and the rest of the young guys and a vanilla game plan.   For all we know, Hurts and Pickett are in the NovaCare complex breaking down film of the Packers and Commanders to get ready for the playoff matchup.   Maybe they are sneaking a peek at the Vikings.

If they have no intention of Hurts playing Sunday, there's really no rush to get him cleared.  He has to practice to be cleared, because he needs to practice and have no symptoms... but I don't see a down side in taking the slowest of slow approaches with him right now.  There's nothing happening on the practice field this week in preparation for the Giants that means anything for the post-season run.

It already is for me.

Everyone wants Becton back but barely anyone knows how to spell his name.

A true Philadelphian player, through and through.

They just took the H from his first name and re-purposed it

Supposedly they call this pose the @hputenis

Concerning, as in he may not be able to play in the wildcard game .... or concerning, meaning the organization should start to move in another direction at the position?

If he misses the wildcard game I'll be in Camp B.  He's injured every year.  I'm not worried about the possibility of missing the wildcard game until early next week, though.

Interesting.  So for you, a great moment along the way…the rushing title…could turn the SB title from a 10 to an 11.  Can’t argue with what it does for you, just doesn’t do that for me.

For me, Barkley’s accomplishment is already fixed and finished.  His season was special.  Another 110 yards that the Eagles don’t need and the Giants (aside from embarrassment, they want the pick)  who don’t care if they give up…that can’t make his accomplishment better.  It’s purely ornamental to what he did when it mattered this year.

Berman said Hurts from talking to players is in at least stage 3 of concussion protocol. He's around the team he's just not practicing yet.

They didn't even practice. It was an "estimation" because it was a walk through. That's the game being played.

I wonder if there's some rule that they can't use the 3rd QB if he is just inactive and not injured.

Parley it all

Colts are cursed for what they did to Luck

Horse puck.  That was always Luck’s play.  Just like his dad.  Oliver played five seasons with the Oilers and then quit to go to UT Law school and then has made a career as an executive in sports areas.  Andrew is following in his dad’s footsteps.  Oliver was mediocre although drafted to be the starter.  The Oilers brought in a washed up Archie Manning his first year to basically fill a Pederson role like Doug did with McNabb.  He was pretty bad, resulting in the Oilers winning the bidding war for Warren Moon.  Always wondered if Archie and Oliver talked about raising their sons to be QBs.

You should have probably marked that NSFW for him.

He must have been told he's a potential 1st or 2nd round pick.  I don't think he's worth that kind of pick.  I also wonder if Alabama told Milroe he would have to compete against Keelon Russell as a starter.

Next week.  Having an extra week is ideal for a concussion. I suspect if pushed he could clear protocol but why?

Milroe had 3 passing TD and 9 INT in his last seven games against FBS opponents

One last thought on the Barkley thing which I'm not sure was brought up.

Obviously, I've made my case for why I think Nick made the right decision. Whether you agree with the decision or not, I think we have to give him credit for announcing it on Wednesday and not being coy up until game time. Clearly the national media was going to jump all over this -- by announcing it Wednesday, the story will run its course before the game. Had he done the usual "competitive advantage" strategy and not said anything, it would have dominated the public discourse at the beginning of Wild Card week. This way players get asked about it now and they pass the kidney stone before the playoffs.
