So if Tampa wins, we'll host them on Saturday.  Likely the early slot since Balt/Buff is, IMO, the feature match in the Divisional Round and will be slotted in on Saturday PM.

If DC wins, we'll host the 4/5 winner on Sunday in the later slot.

I think that comes down to which network has which time slot.  If Fox has the late game, then the Eagles will be late.  Otherwise, you are correct.

Just finished watching the second half of the game from last night.  The Vikings are what I thought they were... they are the 2004 Bears... they are no threat.  The Lions are legit, but their ranks keep getting thinner.  Any opponent for them needs to send video to the league ahead of time and point out their back 7 being super handsy and grabby.  Get it into the heads of the officials, because the Legion of Boom method of DBs mugging the receivers can be very effective.  But, I don't think the Lions' run defense can stop the Eagles running game.

That said, I don't see the Lions getting past the Rams, unless they are allowed to mug Nicua and Kupp all game.  It might sound crazy, but I see the Rams as the 2nd best team in the NFC... if the Lions were healthy, I would feel different.  As it is, they are the 3rd best.     Meanwhile, what really matters is that the Eagles need to play like they are capable of... if they do, this can be a special season.  If they don't... the ending will be painful to watch.

I don't know if the Vikings are frauds like the Bears in 04.  I think the Vikings have a more talented offense at skill positions but they have an erratic QB.   Darnold was the reason they lost last night.  He missed way too many throws.  Eventually the Lions' o-line bullied the defense and they fell apart.  I can see the Vikings beating a good team in the playoffs if Darnold can get out of his own way.

Refs do not tend to call as many penalties on the secondary in the playoffs. I think that's an advantage for the Lions unless they make it to the Super Bowl against the Chiefs.  I agree the Lions' front can be bullied. Josh Allen had a big day running the ball against them on scrambles.  I think that's something they will also struggle to defend against the Eagles.

Doug P only got 3 years but had two winning seasons a Division title and Playoff Win with Jacksonville.  The team was bad before he got there, it was a uphill battle.  HIs career record including the playoffs is now 69-69-1

There’s no way we play Washington unless it’s in the championship game in Philly.

Oh yeah sorry they are the 6 seed so they would play Detroit in the divisional round if they win next week.

If we beat GB the next lowest seed is Washington.

So wouldn't that be who Detroit plays since they play the lowest seed left? Assuming Washington beats TB.

Yeah sorry I got it wrong. If we win next weekend then we will face… Probably Minnesota? But could be LA I guess.

Did the Eagles end up with the #1 Defense? Yard and points?

Agree.  Perked my ears up when I heard that.

The media always likes it when the audience’s ears are perked up.  That is their business model.

That's right man, we're about to start the post season as the 2 seed after going 14-3, what better time to start ragging QB1 again.

Yep. Dude isn't  QB he is a RB who passes sometimes and that Lions D will make him look like SD the way he can't see the field,  and is now rusty...so damn right.

I'm disappointed the Vikings lost, because @ Detroit is harder than any possible playoff matchup including a neutral site SB vs. KC.

At the same time, at least we don't have to play Detroit in RD2 and they could get beaten up even more in the divisional round.

The more I think about it, the more I want to play Minnesota/LAR in RD2. So I guess I'm a Commanders fan this week.

You are correct... but the QB is the straw that stirs the drink, and he's the same fraud that Jim Miller was.  (BTW, I meant the 2001 Bears.  The 2004 Bears were awful!  )

If the Bucs and Vikings win, then we will get a Vikings at Lions rematch.  I think everyone is rooting for that.

We are 1-6 versus Tampa in our last 7 meetings.

We haven't beat them in Philly since 2009.

Sooooo glad he refused to come here.

We beat them in 2023!

There is a part of me that would like some playoff revenge in Philly because of 2002, but I get the scars.

Doug gets let go because he's turning Trevor Lawrence into Carson Wentz.  Doug and Press are not guys you want caretaking your franchise QB; they're more QB screamers than QB whisperers.

That's misleading.  There have been 3 matchups in Philly since 2009.

They beat the Eagles in 2015 in Philly - in Chip's final hurrah in Philly.
They beat the Eagles in 2021 in Nick's inaugural season as HC.

I don't think there's really any kind of 'trend' for facing the Eagles in Philly.  The difference maker seems to be that they haven't beaten the Eagles with AJ Brown... and one thing I think we can all agree to is that this is a different team with AJ Brown than without him.
