He had a bunch of Mamulas, but that is not good enough.

Was he even close to Mamula's? I saw one really solid QB hurry and the game was over at that point.

The base set for most offenses now is 11 personnel, so the nickel spot has become just as important as outside corner. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I understand that. I just meant you can generally find a good NCB in the middle rounds and to trade up in the 2nd usually indicates the team has bigger visions for that player.

I'm fine with leaving him there. Just curious what everyone else thought since I saw a lot of "Ringo should be CB2" talk but nothing about DeJean.

They don't practice today, so he can lie if he wants. If he's not out of it by Wednesday time to be concerned.

Won't be back.  Will be traded for a box of donuts a la Reddick.  That contract has to go.

If I understand correctly, he'd leave almost 13 million in dead money if traded. I think the Eagles are stuck with him at least one more season. Let's hope he figures it out during the playoffs.

Wow. A first place schedule has 5 division winners. Who woulda thunk it?!

Hopefully the Eagles don't try to milk the competitive advantage BS with Hurts this week. It would be so annoying.

And of course they're going to milk it for another couple days

They just look better in Kelly Green. Can they wear Kelly Green in any of the other games (yes I'm looking ahead lol)

They technically already bent the rules by going all-black with the black helmets yesterday. They used their allotted 3 games of alternate uniforms and helmets. GB-black helmet, KG against and KG against Dallas. Yesterday SHOULD have been all-black with midnight green helmets.

It's a different NFL now but the 49ers back in 94 somehow got a waiver to wear their shadow block throwbacks all the way to the SB. That was Tagliabue running the ship and what I assume were much different uniform rules. Hell, guys used to cover their knees with pants and pads!

But yea, I'd be all for a KG playoff run. Knowing the Eagles, if they got some alternate uniform waiver, they would go black uniforms.

Wouldn't surprise me if he uses "competitive advantage" and keeps it hidden for as long as he can

Jalen Hurts Brain vs Loves elbow and Willis thumb. A competitive advantage standoff.

Need to give the fans what they want and make it permanent already

But is it a fluid situation?

The type of hard-hitting analysis you can only find on InsidetheBirds.

I think it’s time to be concerned. I get the competitive edge angle but at this point I think everyone just needs to know. That he hasn’t yet cleared concussion protocol suggests he’s not able to. At this point even if he does clear protocol I think he’s going to have a disrupted week of practice.

Doesn’t Lafleur know that Siri is the final boss of competitive advantagizing??

This baby is rock solid

I think DeJean would be a really good outside CB.

So what’s more valuable - a really good CB or an elite NB?

I think he offers a competitive advantage at NB. The size, physicality, AND coverage combo is pretty rare. Huge asset against the run in nickel.

Kinda view NB like I view RB. Not hard to find a decent one, quite hard to find a great one.

How is hurts still in concussion protocol? McKee going to take us to the promise land ala Carson/Nick

Do players in the protocol get evaluated everyday even on non practice days?

Sounds like gameplan being out together with Pickett as the QB. Expect the line to start dropping

Hurts has to do a full practice as part of clearing protocol. They don't practice until Wednesday. This is such a non story.

I really don’t think he’s going to get cleared. If he was able to then he would have by now. Whether he’s cleared or not this is going to disrupt the week. It isn’t good.

No. They only get evaluated when the team has them evaluated. There's no need to clear him today. He also won't be cleared Wednesday, because practicing and then seeing how he recovers is part of the protocol.

They aren't clearing him because there's no need to, and they can't until he practices. Everyone needs to relax already.

DeJean is a weapon from the NCB position.   He needs to be on the field as much as possible.

There are steps but apparently teams don't follow them 🤷‍♂️
