He's 29. I'm not sure teams are going to want to give him a contract through 33 when he's only had 1 year playing at this level.

Did he have another birthday already? He just turned 28 years old ten days ago.

Interesting

@just relax Thoughts on Becton replacing Lane?

Here’s a two part answer.

1. Will he ever be as good as Lane? No. Lane may be as good a RT as has ever played.

2. Becton is huge, strong, has  long arms and good feet, is mean, and has the league’s best OL coach. He could be Jonathan Ogden at RT.

Bonus: he fell into our laps, mostly because of Stoutland. Cost us basically nothing. Mailata, who also cost us next to nothing, took two years to develop to a playable level. Becton, who is bigger than Mailata, started at game one and has been good and getting better at a new position. He was LT until he came here but now plays the right side so the transition from G to T will be less traumatic. Plus, he’s got at least one more year inside until Lane retires. Helps him get his steps down, not to mention learning from a great RT. Think how much Jurgens learned playing G next to Kelce - Pro Bowl in his first year as starter at C.

Is there a single player out there in FA who can be as good, at any price? I think not. Is there a college tackle who can be had at any draft level who can be as good? Again, I think not.

I admit to being very very biased.

These guys already, right now, have more wealth than you or I will ever have in 3-5 lifetimes. When they squabble over $1-2 mil a year on their next deals it's petty and stupid. Even the guaranteed portion on a multi year deal is usually upwards of $10mil for a starter

What I make has nothing to do with it. There are tons of people that do far less work than me everyday that make way more than I will ever make. Would it make you feel better if the owners were pocketing more money and the players less? I sure wish we had an owner (at that time) that would have made Reggie White the NFL's highest paid player. There was no cap at the time. He just didn't think players deserved to make as much. White signed a 4-year, 17M contract as an UFA (3rd largest contract in the NFL at that time).

They put their physical and mental health through the ringer over the course of a grueling season for our entertainment, let them get what they can in the short amount of time they actually have leverage. If you think the players are being petty over a couple mil, I'd love to hear your take on the owners.

Allar lol

Watched the last PSU and the Texas game on ESPN U.  Skycast.  Great view.  No announcers just the stadium announcer and crowd noise.   My new favorite way to watch football. The camera is like a closeup almost all 22 look to start plays.  Recommend it.

Thanks for that. Going to give it a try.

What about going after Penn State RB Singleton to pair up with Saquan and for him to groom.

I would love that. I think he's a 2nd-3rd round talent and would be 100% content using a pick there on a very good RB.

Yea, I made a mistake that was covered a few pages back.

Yep.   He's not throwing the ball with a lot of confidence.  Seems to be pressing and scared to screw up, and as a result... he's screwing up.

Minnesota line jumped a point and a half in their favor when the move to AZ was announced.

I guess home teams don’t get the automatic 3 points anymore or Rams fans are so pathetic they are only worth 1.5

Will be a Vikings home game now and it would've been partially so even in LA.

You think the mix will be different in AZ?  I figure the attendance will be pretty similar to LA.  Do the Vikes fans travel well?  I would think LA would have more embedded Vikes fans (LA just much bigger so by design we have more expats from other teams) but NOW maybe more will fly to it (no fires)?

Don't really care about the NFL game, man these images are devastating. All these people losing their homes, the irreplaceable historical landmarks getting wiped out. The hopeless feeling of not being able to stop any of it. UGH. Just gut wrenching.

The difference for Baun is likely to be $2-$3 million per year, over 4 years.

For $10 million extra bucks, would you move to another city for a few years?

If I already had millions of dollars and enjoyed where I currently lived? No. And I'm not saying Baun loves it here, but I personally wouldn't. Makes no sense

What was that last (week 7) Rammies Vikes game like attendance wise?  Don't recall.

@BigEFly I would LOVE for the NFL to offer this view for games. I would watch every game from this angle with no commentary. Granted, I sync up the TV with the Eagles radio broadcast, but this would be a gamechanger.

JJ Reddick lost his home. Aside from just moving the game, I wonder how much more directly these fires are affecting Rams players and coaches. Youd think they have homes in the danger zone too. I dont know how that team is going to be focused on a football game.

Do you think one group being petty means another group can't? The owners are worse. Hundreds of thousands of other people put a lot more on the line for far less, I have no sympathy.

No. Singleton will probably go round 2. You don’t use a 2nd round pick on a guy that will be a back up for 2-3 seasons. Saquan has a lot of good football left.

Allar is a pile of trash

I'd imagine many are affected. Don't want to seem insensitive because anyone losing their home is devastating, but I'm more concerned with the "real" people losing their homes. The 91 year old man they interviewed who lost his home of 60 years. HIs life is in that home. JJ Reddick will have a realtor find him a new mansion next week. I just can't imagine. Terrible for all, feel for the everyday man.

They did that with Cam Jurgens.
