Great HCs need great QBs.  Great QBs need great HCs.    Take the great QB away from the great HC, and you get mediocrity.  Take the great HC away from the great QB... well, no one does that when you have both.  You ride the great HC with the great QB.  

Steelers should really consider trading tomlin to a team like the bears and capitalize on another franchise coveting him.

People who keep pointing to sirianni's record and playoffs in 3 of 4 years as an excuse to keep him if we get bounced early need to pay attention. Yeah must be so tough to be him right now. Dude went from a secondary coach to HC of the Steelers and they just keep them despite mediocrity for years and years.  3 head coaches in the history of the franchise.  Put me in coach!

 

Still annoying that the Ravens get to play a weak Steelers team and the Vikings get to play an even weaker Rams team that has no business being in the playoffs at all while the Eagles have to play a decent team like the Packers.

I’d argue the rams are better than the Steelers. Their record doesn’t reflect it cause weeks 1-6 they were without nacua, kupp, 2-3 OL starters and about 1/2 their secondary for 3 weeks during that time. 

Pittsburgh needs to try Fields.

Have you watched the packers? 
The rams have played playoffs contenders pretty tough including a wins against Buffalo/Vikings and taking Detroit to OT.

I mainly look at their points scored vs points given up since it gives a better overall idea of the team than just record alone.

The Rams can beat the Vikings. The Vikings are probably the most fraudulent team in the league this year, followed closely by the steelers. They're on par with the Rams, their QB is sam darnold

The problem isn’t Tomlin. He may not be the solution either, but they’re going nowhere until they get a QB. Their front office has put a trash offense together. Maybe it’s a little better with an offensive mind as a head coach, but this roster is not gonna be Super Bowl caliber until they get a legit QB. And they likely won’t have one next season either because this draft sucks for QB and if they throw a lot of money at Darnold they’re morons.
