Can't blame it on Moore 100%.  He's only been here one year.

Definitely is not. Hurts deserves blame and if I see him take another sack holding the ball for 17 seconds again i will go insane. They both need to be better. This offense is too loaded to be the weak link on the team

Wow. I'm surprised this isn't making national news.

We’ve been conditioned to crazy behavior by Irsay, Davis Jr, Mara, etc., to the point where this type of thing has been normalized I suppose.

That offense that you're so frustrated about could have easily put up a thirty burger against the number 5 defense with a QB that hasn't practiced with his squad for almost a month. Let that sync.

So many fallacies to unpack here

it was literally his first time. Ever.

My question is why? I know he can't throw the ball, but mixing it in here and there would at least give defenses something to think about. Going forward KM needs to step up his game. I get the plan may have been overly conservative, but yikes. Even being conservative that was brutal.

Watched this interview with Hasselbeck.  He says Hurts didn't play well, but he chalks it up to first game back from a concussion and getting cleared doesn't necessarily mean you're going to be spot-on your first game back.  My perception is that depends on just when Hurts could have cleared protocol if they weren't resting starters last week:

quarterback. the guy everybody wants to sack?

That passing game... or lack of... was due to both Hurts being rusty and generally not being good at reading a defense and the WRs creating zero separation.  Those guys were blanketed the entire game.

If snap counts are any indication, they’re prioritizing him over Davis at DT.

Different roles.  The whole is the sum of its parts.

I think we see more Davis with Dean out and trusting Davis and Carter to stopping the run

He threw that to Goedert and Goedert was tackled before the ball got to him.  You can't blame Hurts or Goedert for that play. It was an egregious missed call.  He could have thrown to Gainwell who would have had to run for the sticks but his decision was fine.  The  only play I saw where he missed someone was in the Red Zone.  He was late coming off the first read and missed an open Smith in the flat.

That play is representative of what my response to @TEW would be.  All the Packers DBs were playing off their receivers and would drive toward the receiver whenever Hurts showed interest in their particular receiver.

Our defense was never on the field without the lead and was never on the field without a two-score lead after the first quarter.

Predictable routes and play calling are evident. They need more tendency breakers. One of the most vanilla conservatively called games in some time. Intentional? Maybe. Hope that's the last one we see like that though.

When we play up to our ability, we can beat everyone left in the race. That said, I'd rather the Rams win tonight, just in case we don't play up to our ability next week.

That's not how NFL concussion protocol works. They didn't clear him at all last week. It's not up to the team or Hurts. NFLs Independent evaluators gave him the no.

Right.

So, 2nd and 4, you’ve got a RB on a wheel route crossing in front of you with a ton of space.

I’ll take that all day. The LB can drive on the pass, but he’s going to get there late against Gainwell who is running full speed away from him.

Even if the LB manages to make the tackle, you’re looking at 3rd and 1 or so.

Lets show this man some LOVE!

After last season, i was a bit concerned/disappointed. Being highly touted in the draft and somehow falling so far i did expect more of an impact. I did keep BG in mind, his first season he did not shine.

Nolan really is that dude.

His physicality is something else on the edge vs the run.

And that closing burst with the shoe string sack? Good lord…

BG just living at the Linc apparently.

Do we play a lot more dime so cinder blocks Burks doesn't play but that means Maddox. Will be an interesting case on how they play this. Either way I bet Jordan Davis plays more so they can have lighter boxes next week.
