Tbh with how the officiating has been this year I 100% expected them to throw a flag and it would negate Mitchell‘s interception.

Yeah there was some contact and he didn't get his head around. Probably draws a flag if it's 1 on 1 without Q there.

Not sure why it comes up that way. My end shows everything black lettering on white

The NFL likes Philly as the heel.

We are a big market which brings in viewers. But we aren’t a glamor team in a mega market with a super star QB.

In a perfect NFL world, we would make the NFCCG or Super Bowl every year and lose to NY, LA, etc. — especially as the league continues to grow internationally.

Ideally, the NFL wants their version of the Lakers or Yankees to sell to foreigners. Basically the cities foreigners know in the US are NY, LA, Vegas, Chicago, and Miami. No one outside of the US ever thinks about Philadelphia.

Then we shall MAKE THEM think about us!

THIS IS PHILADELPHIA!!!!

Let’s stop ever comparing Hurts to Mahomes. One is a game manager, the other is going to have a legitimate chance to challenge Brady for GOAT status.

Maybe Hurts can grow into being a goat manager?

Jalen Hurts was a bogus Bradberry Pass Interference call away and a follow up game winning drive (feel confident that he would have succeeded the way he was playing) from everyone having such a different opinion about him. He was more than worthy of winning that game with his performance. Defense was a NO SHOW. And of course the legendary Aaryn Siposs!!

This kid will get it done at some point and they will still call him a game manager and ask for Carson Strong. I will be laughing at you all. Can't wait! What will be the excuses?

Was that the Colosseum?   Well, never mind then.

Yep, they didn't start playing at the new stadium until 2020.

I use the dark mode theme

Dang. Just noticed the Eagles game is on NBC. Tirico is decent but Collingsworth will make the telecast unbearable 😞

Every time a Rams receiver falls down -

Collingsworth:  "There was a lot of contact but I guess the refs didn't think it was pass interference.  It looked like it to me. The Eagles were lucky there, I guess."

Every time the Eagles make a catch -

Collingsworth: "I am not sure if that was a catch or not.  It seemed like AJ was bobbling the ball as he ran 50 yards untouched into the end zone. If that is a catch, I am not sure what is a catch anymore."

Looks like you're using different themes. Dark mode vs. Light mode.

Fangio doesn't bs around, so I think there is a pretty good chance Trotter Jr. plays a good bit. Fangio must like what he sees in practice, otherwise he wouldn't have said that.

What if I told you that Nick asked him to say that?

It's a team sport, they're all contributing. OL, RB, DBs, etc. Hurts doesn't need to carry the team on his back like Josh Allen or Joe Burrow to win a ring.

Then his role in the ring should be discounted

I thought Baby Trott looked pretty good in limited preseason action. Might be his time to shine.

If he shines it makes Howie's offseason much easier.

Yep. I think last year was the first time Eagles ever played in SoFi

190 passing yards per game with a perfect TD:INT, plus a good but not great running threat.

Basically the prototype of a game manager.

As QBs go I would call him a great running threat.  Only one other QB who is better.

Edit: maybe two ... Daniels as well as the obvious one Jackson.

Brad Johnson's SB ring has an inscription that says "discount" on the underside of it

Also not true. Opinions wouldn't change as most agree that he was spectacular that day, and really,  all season. That's already granted, and baked in to the opinions.

The problem is that he's been nowhere near that level ever again.  It was a fluke season. Fact is,  he's simply not good.

I don't like Shawn Smith being the head official

I don't like story line of playing Los Angeles when the city is burning down and the residents need something to root for -  Hollywood movie in the making

I don't like storyline of Stafford going against the Rams if both teams were to advance.

Those are some of the Scripts in play this upcoming weekend.

I like the Storyline of Stafford going against the Rams. It's going to be a wild one to somehow happen in less than one week. Some real WWE stuff right there when Stafford hits McVay with a chair when he's not looking.

We have an elite offensive line, running game, and defense.  Jalen is not going to make throws into tight windows because he doesn't want to throw interceptions.

Does that make him a game manager?  Maybe.  But it also wins football games.

To put that into perspective the Eagles are +3, +4, +1, and +4 in Net Turnovers in the last 4 games.  Those are game winning numbers ... partly because the D is producing turnovers and partly because the O is avoiding turnovers.  That is a ball I want to keep rolling.

And Washington could also pull off an upset in a close game as well.  So all in all the Commanders will win the game, unless they lose, in which case the Lions will be the better team.

Yes, it makes him a game manager. Yes, it wins football games — the same way Trent Dilfer won football games.

Hopefully our defense and running game are as good as that Ravens team and win us a Lombardi.

Dilfer was never a complement to the running game. Hurts is a dangerous runner and he makes Barkley even more dangerous.

I think Jerrah is seriously considering Deion.  It just fits his MO.

Agreed.
