Deion in Dallas? Buy stock in Orville Redenbacher 🤣 It would certainly be entertaining.

I wonder if they would try to trade Dak to the Raiders. If he's traded after 6/1, it would clear like $47 million in cap space.

Jalen Hurts was a bogus Bradberry Pass Interference call away and a follow up game winning drive (feel confident that he would have succeeded the way he was playing) from everyone having such a different opinion about him. He was more than worthy of winning that game with his performance. Defense was a NO SHOW. And of course the legendary Aaryn Siposs!!

This kid will get it done at some point and they will still call him a game manager and ask for Carson Strong. I will be laughing at you all. Can't wait! What will be the excuses?

I think the majority of fans (myself included) just want to see Hurts perform at the level he’s capable of and what we’ve seen him capable of doing. (Top 10 NFL QB level).

There are a small % of haters that will likely always be critical of him but I don’t believe the majority of fans feel that way, tbh.

From where I'm sitting, from all appearances, the Eagles will play in the NFCCG in Detroit.  I am less confident that the team will advance to the Super Bowl.

From where I'm sitting, the Eagles will host the Commanders in the NFCCG and it will be a barn burner.

And Washington could also pull off an upset in a close game as well.  So all in all the Commanders will win the game, unless they lose, in which case the Lions will be the better team.

I thought my response to Washington getting massacred was pretty clear.  I'll clarify, I don't see WAS getting blown out at all. In fact, if any team does get blown out, it'll be Detroit, and I think that if they lose, that's exactly how it'll go down.

I expect it to be a somewhat close game with Detroit winning, but I won't be surprised if they come out flat (as it happens to teams with a bye) and they get blown out.

It was a holding call. It wasn't bogus. It was just soft.

The Commanders only managed 23 points against the Bucs who have not been that great this season on defense.

Every time a Rams receiver falls down -

Collingsworth:  "There was a lot of contact but I guess the refs didn't think it was pass interference.  It looked like it to me. The Eagles were lucky there, I guess."

Every time the Eagles make a catch -

Collingsworth: "I am not sure if that was a catch or not.  It seemed like AJ was bobbling the ball as he ran 50 yards untouched into the end zone. If that is a catch, I am not sure what is a catch anymore."

Collinsworth is still working? I haven't actually had the TV audio unmuted on Eagles games for... maybe more than a decade. I listen to Merrill and Mike exclusively with the TV muted. Even though they aren't in sync. I'd rather have it out of sync than to hear any of those TV buffoons.

This team is so good.  Super stars on both sides of the ball!

We could go down in history as the best team to win the Super Bowl despite having one of the worst performing QB’s in NFL history.

Kudos to this team.

So Detroit wins unless they lose in which case the Commanders will win big.

Also not true. Opinions wouldn't change as most agree that he was spectacular that day, and really,  all season. That's already granted, and baked in to the opinions.

The problem is that he's been nowhere near that level ever again.  It was a fluke season. Fact is,  he's simply not good.

Will you agree that Mahomes hasn't been the same since Tyreek left and hasn't performed as well in the largest stage since. But yet he's won 2 straight Superbowls. Why? Because they have a Superbowl defense the last 2 years. They didnt win because of Mahomes. Nope! Hurts is 26 years old and has proven to not crumble on the largest stage. Still vivid in my mind. Not a fluke like you say.

It is a TEAM GAME. Til then, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he can repeat that historic performance. This year he has a Superbowl type number 1 defense (unless Dean injury costs them). Think he does it! Game manager or not.

Fran Duffy mentioned the other day how in week 18 Burks and Trotter Jr. rotated series and also explained that it was probably due to them also taking special teams snaps and that was a way to help balance the load.

Wonder if the Eagles would do the same again or if they will stick with one guy.

Strange comment by Fran since both JT and Burks were on the field for all 53 snaps of that game.  What rotation?

Someone ought to tell the top 2 rushing teams in the league.

Very true. I was responding in the context of the standard read option where Hurts is reading the DE. That hasn’t worked for US in two seasons. The ROs where Hurts is running between the tackles is a nice, new twist.

IIRC, the Chiefs had a missed holding call on the offensive line on the same exact play. They waited for that moment to call that, when letting them play the entire game. Ball was also overthrown IMO. Terrible and bogus call. Will always think that.

You just sounds like a hater tbh. You’re crediting hurts with hypotheticals but downplaying the REAL success mahomes has had 🤡

Also the turf was trash which negated our biggest advantage.

As QBs go I would call him a great running threat.  Only one other QB who is better.

Edit: maybe two ... Daniels as well as the obvious one Jackson.

In my mind great is someone on the level of Lamar, Vick, Cunningham, etc.

Right now I’d put Lamar, Daniels, and Fields as great running threats. Hurts is in the next tier. Clearly he’s not as dangerous or explosive as a runner.

13 minutes ago, mattwill said:

Dilfer was never a complement to the running game. Hurts is a dangerous runner and he makes Barkley even more dangerous.

Agreed, which is why I said Hurts is the prototype.

Maybe they were rotating LB positions? Fran made the comment on PHLY

The NFL likes Philly as the heel.

We are a big market which brings in viewers. But we aren’t a glamor team in a mega market with a super star QB.

In a perfect NFL world, we would make the NFCCG or Super Bowl every year and lose to NY, LA, etc. — especially as the league continues to grow internationally.

Ideally, the NFL wants their version of the Lakers or Yankees to sell to foreigners. Basically the cities foreigners know in the US are NY, LA, Vegas, Chicago, and Miami. No one outside of the US ever thinks about Philadelphia.

Regarding your last paragraph, I don't think so.  The evidence against that desire id the way the Draft is set up ... penalizing the best teams in every round.  The way the schedule is set up is another pice of evidence ... where the #1 seeds get the hardest schedule, full of other #1 seeds and the #4 seed gets the easiest schedule full of #4 seeds.
