We absolutely want the Commies to win. If the passing offense doesn't get its crap together, going to Detroit is gonna be a really Fing tough spot. Bring me the chance of a home NFCCG.

I remember in 2022 when Dallas was playing SF in the other Divisional game.  Some folks here wanted Dallas to win so that we'd have the opportunity to beat them ourselves on the big stage.

I argued against that notion.  Why invite the possibility of a division rival winning the conference championship in our stadium?  The heartache of losing far would far outweigh any joy of winning.

The same applies here.  If we can't go to the Super Bowl, I'd rather see the Lions get to go for the first time.

Not much of a crisis here, kinda of a headache if you’re driving from Hazelton.

I'm very happy to see that the bulk of the snow is up near me.  Avoiding having the worst weather in the most congested area. I like that forecast.

Your stance is inspired by fear though, not what's best for the Eagles chances of getting a Lombardi. It's the playoffs, gotta dive in head first in the deep end of the pool. If the Eagles get eliminated, whether it's tomorrow or the week after, I don't give a crap who they lost to or who goes on to win. That's something Eagles fans have developed over decades of being a loser franchise until recent history, where we knew we weren't going to win anything, so it was just about being petty and celebrating teams we hate losing. Some of that still exists, because that's part of being a fan and part of having rivalries, but nothing, absolutely nothing, is better than the joy of winning.

Give me the best odds at another parade, and I'll Fing deal with it if the Commies go on a run(they won't). And they aren't coming to Philly and beating the Eagles.

Those rankings are very different than the guys in the video posted a few pages ago.

For example they have Mike Green as a top 10 pick in the draft. Sawyer is something like their edge 3.

There are a bunch of guys they haven't got around to watching completely yet though...

Landon Jackson is one of those guys that doesn't quite look the part, but just dominate.  Like a Jokic in basketball or max Crosby as another unathletic looking DE. I think I want that guy on my team. One thing I really see in him is excellent bend. And, he plays the run well.

The sequence of the names is definitely different, but the actual names are almost identical.  It was a very good video to watch.  The NFL.com list was only a skeleton.  The video did a really good job of putting flesh on the skeleton’s bones.  I came away with a dream scenario of Shemar Stewart in Round One and Landon  Jackson in Round Two.

Watching Dallas lose on national TV is more enjoyable than a regular season win.

Snow is a massive advantage for the Eagles.  We can run the exact same offense we ran in October and the same offense they run in practice all week with almost no adjustments.

Agree.  Eagles have far better chance beating Washington @ home vs beating Lions in Detroit

Not to me, maybe in the 90s, but Dallas is a loser franchise now, we don't need to have an inferiority complex with them anymore. I want to be celebrating with millions down Broad street, and thousands all night a couple nights before like we did in 2018. That feeling, nothing can replace it. And the Commies winning gives us our best chance. Now Eagles gotta take care of business first, but if the Eagles can't beat the Rams then they weren't worthy of getting that Lombardi to begin with and weren't beating any of the top AFC teams.

But all this is moot, I think Detroit is hungry and will win tonight. Barring something crazy, no chance the Commies D can contain that offense.

If you were going to tell me that there was not going to be any turnovers in this game, I would completely agree.

Eagles have the better defense, offensive line, and running game. If they play a clean game, all those things matter.  But if we fumble the ball and lose possession three times, and the Rams don’t… Then it won’t matter at all

I was thinking about something like Sawyer/Jackson DE double dip. Replacing Sweat, and Graham.

I do love that podcast. And they'll probably go through each position again after bowls and combine.

2 upsets today (Texans and Commanders) would be the funniest thing since @EaglePhan1986 won the Tiny Peenis World Championships in 2022.

Still pissed you entered the contest in 2023. No repeat here

ONE MORE DAY.   Funny it's normally Buffalo with the crazy snow games.   Let's not complicate this.  The Eagles have the best running game in football.   Run the Ball and send those Defensive Dawgs hunting.  As for Sat games, both #1 Seeds are rested and at home. I would be shocked by an upset.

Interesting…

Lions/Eagles has been brewing all season long. It would probably be the game of the entire playoffs. Two Heavyweights go head to head, it doesn’t get better than that.

Its not the easiest path but its more entertaining then a third matchup with a division rival whose two previous games weren’t even that good.

In the AFC I’m over the Chiefs and Bills are fun to watch.

Any word on the game day threads yet?

That’s what I figured, not an easier path but a more glorious one.

One helps you win a championship though and the other doesn't provide anything other than copium. You only get tangibly better odds for your own team in one of those scenarios.

Snow totals dropped tomorrow to 1-3 inches. Much different scenario than before with it being a snow globe.

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles!

Don’t know if you listen to the Philly Special pod but on the latest one EJ Smith said that Darius Slay told him he remembers the 2013 snow game and how hard it was to cover DeSean Jackson in the snow.

Except in reality he wasn’t active and didn’t play in that game.

There are upsets in the playoffs but I wouldn't be shocked if it's #1 Vs #2 on both sides. (Lions/Eagles Cheifs/Bills)  Basically the best teams for a chance at the Super Bowl.   Eagles and Lions feel like a collusion course all season as you said.  They would be seeing each other for the 1st time after a high scoring affair in week 1 of 2022 before the Lions took off on the run their on now these last two years.  Eagles won that game 38-35 (The Same score they lost the Super Bowl with that very year).  The Bills ended the Chiefs 9 game winning streak and now they would have a chance to stop their 3-Peat.   Plus Patrick and Josh have played each other so many times in the Playoffs.   But all the home teams would have to first hold serve for this to happen.

I think the massive advantage angle is a bit overplayed. Yea, Barkley and this line would likely do well in snow and their D-line is a lot of undersized fastballs. But our Edges are also undersized and we saw how they play in slippery field conditions more than once. I think it’s also interesting how in 2013 Cary Williams told Chip Kelly in game they should throw the ball because it was impossible to cover WR’s. I don’t know how much that exactly holds up since Foles didn’t have that great of a game but if snow does negate the strength of our secondary and helps out their pass game, that could also be a problem.
