Moore and Jalen are bad for each other. Moore treats Jalen like Dak/Herbert and he's just not that type of QB.

No he doesn't.

Listen to podcasts.  Read the film reviews.  They run a very basic passing scheme.  They don't call many plays from under center.  They rarely have him rollout.  They rarely run screens.

This offense looks nothing like what Moore did in Dallas or SD.

Underrated bad part of the game:

May not have mattered, but Sirianni basically just conceded the end of the first half. They had a chance to get into field goal range and let the clock tick down to 3 seconds relegating them to having to attempt some weird play. Not sure what that was about.

He barely has a quarterback and he doesn’t have a kicker he can trust. Nick has been coaching with one arm tied behind his back when it comes to Elliott this year. I don’t fault him for erring on the side of caution.

So Moore, who had top offenses in Dallas when Dak was healthy, all of a sudden forgot how to call plays?

Did he have a reckoning and decide that play-action from under center is the Devil's play?

No idea. But I'm not sure who is calling what.

I think the play before was a negative play so they just let the clock run out and tried to attempt a hail mary. I thought it was the right decision by Nic.

We're going to keep ignoring this, though.

We can't have it both ways with the numbers.  If total QB yards are just as important as passing yards, then net passing yards are just as important as passing yards.  So the line isn't 128...it's 65.

Last week it was 121.

That's a passing game that is dead on arrival.  Taysom Hill and Tim Tebow territory.

You seem to be missing the point. He's from Philly and a majority of the players obviously like him. If the majority of players on a high school football team in Alabama liked country music enough to have some local country singer lead them out of the tunnel, would it be that weird?

Seems like the majority of the players are ignoring him. Don't care what kind of music it is. Country, rap, rock. I think it's silly. Reminds me of the Miami donor who was paying his way to be a part of the U back in the 90s.

He called a play that had two checkdowns open, including one who was incredibly wide open. I would expect every single professional QB to avoid a safety there.

Anything with a 5-step drop comes with an element of risk when you're backed up, but yeah he's gotta do better, which is why I called it an F- play from him. Incidentally, the safety might have somewhat helped us from a field position perspective and in those conditions, the importance of field position is magnified, so the negative impact it has on the game might've been mitigated a bit, but in different circumstances, it can easily be the nail in your coffin.

I just hope they have a plan in case Hurts can't do it

Disclaimer: Not rooting for Hurts to not play

You are sharing team stats.

Jalen first half...

9/12, 66 yards with 4 sacks for 41 yards.  Two of which took us out of FG range.

Jalen second half...

6/8, 62 yards with 3 sacks for 22 yards.  One of which led to a safety.

He played the same all game.

I know one of the sacks was on Becton if not both that took them out of FG range.

If only you had that luxury

Becton was real bad in pass protection. At least 2 sacks were on him.

Eh, to each his own. I have no desire to hang out in the locker room with a team I'm not a part of.

They should've had two plays called in from the previous call, and ran them both back to back. Dumb to just give away a down like that.

With guys like Carter and Saquon, I get the no mistakes approach.

One was clearly his fault.  One was the other team trying to win the game too.

I'd cut Siri and Moore some slack.  Do you think it's easy for coaches at an NFL level to call a game when you can't dial up a pass for more than 5 yards?  They are going to call plays that look questionable and have frustrating sequences.  The routes will look weird.   It's a lot to compensate.  If you try to win a nascar race on 3 wheels, the driver is probably going to look a little funny.

If we were to rank the most important players on the team now and going forward say the next 3 seasons, I’m going…

1. Carter

2. Nolan Smith

3. Mailata

A knee injury to Hurts is definitely a bigger deal for him than some other QBs because of his style of play but, I also think the weather is being underrated here. There were points of the game where the Rams were fumbling it all over the place and falling down etc as well.

I don’t think Jalen is going to throw for 400 yards vs the Commies but I think he can go from 65 to 150 if it isn’t a sleet storm. I think the Eagles can win somewhat comfortably with him doing that. The Eagles have a lot of advantages over other teams that make up for it.

edit: I just realized I quoted the wrong post on this. Sorry @Mike030270

He was probably like "man that was a big response to my post but ok” 😆

I thought Stafford had gotten hit causing the bad throw but from the end zone angle it was more of a hurry and contact didn't affect the throw itself. Just sailed it thankfully.

I'm sorry, no, he did not play the same all game.

Pretty sure I remember a couple drops by the Rams BUT I also remember three great catches far downfield.  For example, I remember a twisting Nacua leaping along the sideline to make a far tougher catch than the one Brown dropped.

And? Nacuas catch doesn't mean hurts played any better.

Lots of people comparing the Stafford/Hurts performances and Stafford got the benefit of a number of great catches from his receivers.
