We're going to keep ignoring this, though.

What happens if the D doesnt get the stop on the last drive? Is that still submitting to whatever it takes to win?

It belongs to that team and season. Leave it there

Learn the lesson from the Flyers... they brought out God Bless America in 1973-1974 Stanley Cup, they reprised it and it worked for 1974-1975... and as they continued to reprise it, it just got worse and worse.   And the last championship was now 50 years ago.    Leave the past in the past.

I don’t know about you guys, but I love Jevon Carter. Literally best DT since Aaron Donald and he seems like a fart in a jacuzzi in the NFL. Totally unnoticed and disrespected.

This is pretty accurate for a lot of people in here

What's your guys obsession with 300yds?

Oddly enough, if we square off against the chiefs again, Wentz might even get a chance to play if Mahomes gets hurt. First Ertz and then him? Wouldn't that be something.

A lot of the Twitter/X Eagles fan base is the worst. There’s a big echo chamber on there that views the 2010 Vick team as the best team to not win a Super Bowl. Maybe it’s an age thing or a social media thing where every win has to have your QB throw for 400 yards and 4 TDs. You see it more with NBA fans and "ring culture”.

I hope they win a Super Bowl with Hurts averaging 130 yards passing. 1. Because the discourse on Hurts would be hilarious, 2. It means that Saquon probably puts together the best full season for a RB in NFL history, and 3. It means that the defense beat the piss out of their next two opponents.

If Carson Wentz was an Eagle, threw for 120 yards, took 7 sacks and a safety, I bet the people defending Hurts wouldn't be doing the same for him.

See this is the kind of spicy stuff that stale ass Rams message board was missing. Some fans just don't get it

Was just watching Nick Foles highlights. It’s incredible how much better of a passer he is than Hurts.

Got to believe that Hurts taking "bad sacks" hss to be, in part, risk avoidance.  Before he would try to scramble or throw in those situations but would many times get ball knocked out or throw a bad interception.  Now, he just protects the ball even if it means a sack.  Trying to make something out of nothing has its pluses and minutes but I believe the focus has been on not making a back breaking turnover.

Nick Gates

Eli Ricks would be the logical cchoice, but with Q injured yesterday, that option is out.

I personally dont rate Eli Ricks but I disagree and here is why.

Assuming this only for the SB right, it has to be someone who would be inactive on gameday anyway. Yes Ricks qualifies on that basis but so do 3 OL (Keegan, Gates and Kinnard). Next the filter is who is least likely to be back next year / get claimed. They wont want to risk a young player who they want back in camp next year just to see how they have grown. Thats why I have Gates above Keegan, Kinnard, Ricks. Its all about a view to 2026 and least risk option is Gates.

The lack of hype for the National Championship Game is alarming. Is there too much time between all the bowl games? Bowl season in general seemed to lack much hype. I guess it's just a different college football world. The BCS bowl season seemed to be much more exciting.

I was a huge Wentz fan and thought our season was over when he went down. One of the main reasons why I'm more optimistic this time around, after seeing how things turned out 7 years ago. Once you get to the big game, anything can happen.

As for Wentz, I was in denial for years about what unfolded here. I didn't believe the reports, including the infamous Josina Anderson one, but with time, it seems they were largely true and Wentz had some sort of mental block after watching his backup win it all in his place. It's unfortunate, but the mental psyche of a professional athlete can be very fragile, which is also why I try not to judge them based on how they behave on the sidelines during or after games as much as I used to.
