They can do TE screens but a WR screen is a death sentence for whatever reason

They can't do RB screens and they have a dynamic RB.

There is almost always a 2nd or 3rd read, or a check down right in front of his face when Hurts takes his idiotic sacks.  But we're not supposed to discuss that.  We should just be grateful and bury our heads in the sand because we're in the NFCC again.

I noticed against LA that most times that Saquon or Gainwell didn’t stay into block on long developing plays or blitz countering audibles they ran a lot of Texas or angle routes nearly every time.  Hurts used it once to Saquon.

On the contrary, I suggest you create a twitter account and take it up with Shane Haff who posted the tweet in question. Show off some of your finely honed football knowledge to him and then come back and share with the rest of us what you've learned.

even on this one, he doesn't look to the other side of the field in his progression, he looks there after he's in scramble mode.

To me, it looks like he looked at Wilson before he tried to get out of the pocket.

Before finding this place I would read stuff on Reddit as well and I’ve never seen anyone say Hurts arm strength is a problem. It’s not Vick’s arm or anything but I’ve never thought "wow I wish his arm was better” either.

I’ve thought "how in the world did he not see that guy?” or "oh my goodness why did he freeze like that?” but I think his arm is fine.

Exactly. Or throw it away why are you just standing there!

The phrase "let's get real" has a meaning, and it doesn't quite follow your usage.   But that's fine, framing the conversation that way implies you didn't agree.   🤷‍♂️

Your idiom is something I didn’t consider when posting.  I should have.  My bad.

The desired result was accomplished.  It has spawned some interesting conversation.  I am surprised that some of the choices haven’t gotten some push back … Nix for instance.

Edit: isn’t the idiom "Get real” rather than "Let’s get real” ? I was asking myself why I missed the idiomatic meaning, and after the Let’s my Brain was already diving into the specifics of the list.  Still my bad though.

Says the guy who compares Hurt's arm strength to that of Mahomes/Herbert.  Please educate the blog more with some of your outbursts and moronic takes.

Win/loss record for quarterbacks is a stat that is never going away.  Major sites like pro football reference, even have a column referencing starting quarterback winning percentage.  You do not have to agree with it, but it is what it is.

Yep. The media always cites the W/L record of QBs and coaches. Fans will cite W/L record when it favors the argument they're trying to make. There is no doubt that if Hurts had a losing record it would be used as an argument against him, the same people wouldn't be saying "it's a team stat.'

Just like when other QBs have low passing stats but win the game, other team's fans and the media will praise him saying "he found a way to win" or he was scrappy, clawed his way, etc. It's putting a spin to fit a bias or narrative.

Hurts' performance is really putting his "main thing" argument to the test. Ultimately it doesn't matter what any player's individual stats are if the team wins.

Oddly enough, I feel better about this matchup because we lost to them the last time around. We simultaneously know we can beat them (game 1) and feel slighted from week 2. Good combo of confidence and vengeance.

Yep. Winning 3 straight against a division rival is tough to do. Washington is coming feeling good.

Jalen Carter has gotten better since that game.

Nolan Smith has gotten better since that game.

Goedert is back.

Hurts hopefully is healthy.

Eagles should dominate this game.

I see him look outside right , inside right, then he pulls the ball down while looking to the left side of the field like not a real look because the clock in his head says he needs to get out. Once he pulls the ball down, he almost never throws it.

We all can't be as knowledgable about the X's and O's of the game as you. Please do some more all-22 play analysis so we can learn from the best.

We all have moronic takes.  I would say that w_g_b adds much more than he detracts.

Couldn't agree more with the first sentence.  Couldn't agree less with the 2nd sentence.

He got through this past game with that same ref that threw him out, who also told SAQUON to tone down his trash talk....:nonono:

Shawn Hochuli shouldn't be as much of an issue.

and yes, I know you're joking

Both are idioms and mean basically the same thing.  It is often said as "Let's get real for a second (or minute or moment)", which is usually the opening salvo to a point of disagreement with a previously posited idea.   I would have read it very differently had you said, "Let's look at this in detail" or "Let's go through the specifics".   It's fine though.   I misinterpreted your meaning.   But, either way, you essentially ended up aligning yourself pretty closely to what TEW said.

Howie drafted the defensive rookie of the year in back to back years.

Jake Elliott approves this message.

I volunteer to organize a drunken Negadelphian weekly All-22 review Podcast next season.

Stipulations for joining:

1: every name ends with ‘s’ or ‘z’

2: any name that with ‘s’ or ‘z’ gets an ‘es’ added

3: Only positive statements can be made about Devonta, DeJawns, Carterz and Saquons.  Every other player must be compared to the GOAT at their respective position.

4: A special section will be set aside for Hurtses called "WWTBD” aka What would Tim Brady do & "WWDSD” aka what would Darren Sprollees do for whoever is the PR.

5: Tim Brady & Sprollees, if you don’t understand the reference you’ll be asked to binge watch a select portion of the League and give a 10 min mid podcast breakdown.

6:  If there is a disagreement in the WWTBD section…BD Nick will be referenced.

7: You must channel your inner McNabb and puke at least once each episode.

8: You must grow a mullet and wear carhart overalls over a Sean Considine jersey for every episode.

9:  If you can’t grow hair you must wear Pit Vipers and an American Flag bandana.

10: Only 1 replay of any given play is allowed, and all reactions need to be instant and drunkenly and emotionally charged.  Unless there’s missed tackles…which will be looped and played back at .5/.25/.01 speed 4 times each.  Unless DeJawn misses a tackle…at which point the play will immediately be skipped.

11:  No positive takes on the team.

12: The show will wrap with a segment called "Why Siri should be fired”.

Watching it back, Slay had a better game than I realized. He's not as fast as he used to be, so maybe he does better with matchups against bigger WRs like Nacua and Kupp, but it was pretty cool to see the old man ball out like that in back to back games.
