While we are talking about next year…

The schedule next year is absolutely brutal.  And the physical/emotional toll of losing the SB has proven to be very, very bad for innumerable outstanding teams.

What I’m saying is…don’t lose the freaking Super Bowl.  Next year is not guaranteed and figures to be some tough sledding…and for whatever reason, it’s going to be much tougher if they lose in the SB than in the NFCCG.

So don’t lose.

He played great. I'm excited about his role on this team growing, but at the same time I still 100% want Milton Williams back. I love nasty DT play. If you can cause problems with the IDL, it makes the DE/OLB job that much easier. Putting OT on an island is one of the best things you can do, provided you have good edge rushers. We're seeing this with Nolan Smith. He's learning how to abuse the RT with his speed. The RG is too busy helping inside.

Carter, Williams, Ojomo draft pick, Booker should be the DT next year. I think Davis gets moved.

Edge should be Nolan Smith, Jalyx Hunt, BG/Khalil Mack, Draft pick.

I love how this DL is shaping up.

My only concern about the D-Line is how Fangio handles his rotation of snaps.  The proportions for selected players … Carter and Smith most notably … are very high.  It would be nice to spread the snaps out as long as the production doesn’t slide.

I can see Barkley having a very productive 1st Quarter again.

Sure. Over 100 yards? Probably not. But possible.

This is a win or go home game.  Push them as much as needed.  They get two weeks to rest if they win.  Several months if they lose.

Those are my two picks as well.

Same.  Been on Eagles over Buffalo since last 3rd of the regular season.

They would run afoul of the NFL Brass with the Pickett part of that.  Simply avoid the possibility of a problem and have McKee active.

Avoid the possibility of what problem? That Pickett has to play and plays so poorly that he needs to get benched and McKee can come in for a GWD?

I'll take the extra active player who is likely to contribute in someway vs that highly unlikely scenario.

In our house....with that crowd....with that OL and DL hearing all the chatter this week...with that team being pissed off from the cheap shot and BS from the last game...they better put that blue tent up on the DC side and leave it because the Eagles are coming in pissed off. Damn right it's possible!!! :Eagle_smiley:

IMO, the owner and GM are scaring folks away.

Yea. The pitch of "you will get Trent Baalke unless you can make a compelling reason why you shouldn't" isn't really a great sales pitch.

Well we know the reason isn't your butthole, then.  Your finger knows EXACTLY how to find that, Greg Hugeanus!

Hurts will still play like crap and cause them to lose and Jake will miss every XP and FG and Dom will get ejected again.

Worry about next year, next year.

Enjoy this run.

I chose my words with care.  100 yards in the 1st Quarter is a tall order, but even 75 or 65 yards rushing (ideally with at least one pass reception) would qualify as a lesson repeated from that prior game.

The answer to your first paragraph questions is "Yes”

Looking at last weeks snaps, would you rather have Huff active or McKee active?
