Eagles have an incredibly difficult schedule.  They will be competing for a wild card spot.

Eagles have the best and youngest defense in the NFL.  Eagles have the best OL in the league.  They have the best RB in the league.  They have arguably the best WR duo in the league.  If they are fighting for a wild card next season, I can only think of 1 reason why that is, but I just can't quite put my finger on it....................

It means if you lose the other two QB's to injury, the emergency QB although technically inactive can enter the game. But once McKee enters, Hurts and Pickett are automatically ruled out.

The only benefit of having McKee active would be if Hurts gets injured and you wanted to put McKee in there instead of Pickett, you would be able to. But you could also make that decision by making Pickett the emergency QB before the game. So McKee will likely be the inactive emergency QB.

And this used to be the rule, until it was changed several years ago to allow for an extra game day player to be active, leaving the choice up to each team to decide if they wanted to dress 3 QBs or just two. This was the case until our game against the fortywhiners 2 years ago when we knocked both QBs out of the game and they had none left. So the league reinstated the emergency QB rule the next offseason knowing that coaches like Shanahan couldn't help themselves and be trusted to make decisions in the best interest of his own team.

This is where I disagree.  The Eagles play the Chiefs, Bills and NFC North.  Patrick Mahomes is likely going to be banned from the NFL when referee payola scandal is finally revealed.  Josh Allen is getting married and like Wentz will lose all of his super powers.  The NFC North is going to return to earth.  Dan Campbell will have to coach and stop biting knee caps.  The Vikings will be mired in a QB controversy with starts rotating between JJ McCarthy and Daniel Jones.  The Packers are always overrated and people will gush over their young receiving corps which is mostly JAGs and one fast guy who has bad hands.  The Chargers would be very good but for their decision to draft Evan Stewart in the first round over Tetairoa McMillan.  Bo Nix will suddenly remember he's not a good QB.  The Commanders who relied on a lot of aging vets this season will need to re-tool their roster.  The Giants are going to be trash.  The Raiders will sign Dam Sarnold.  He will still be bad.  The Cowboys will hire Kellen Moore.  We will replace him with Frank Reich.

Interesting statement regarding QB success and turnover ratio.

The defense forced 5 turnovers lmfao

I realize this post was in jest, but people are too scared of next year's schedule.

The NFC North was overrated all year thanks to playing the NFC West and AFC South -- there's a reason they went 0-3 in the playoffs. The Packers didn't beat anyone good (the Rams were without Nacua and Kupp) other than the Texans (who weren't great), and the Vikings only good wins were against the Packers and Texans. I think Detroit takes a large step back as Campbell is exposed as a clown without his coordinators. The AFC West -- yeah, the Chiefs and Chargers will be tough. I think Denver way outperformed this year and will regress (I also maintain Payton is a massively overrated coach), and the Raiders are the Raiders. The Bills are a tough draw, and the Rams and Bucs are decent but not terrifying.

We basically traded the AFC North for the West, which is a wash or frankly slightly easier in 2025. We traded the NFC South for the NFC North, which is harder but somewhat deceiving (and we only went 2-2 against the South this year). The Bucs instead of the Packers is a wash and we get the Rams again, but the Bills is a much tougher game than the Jags. Really, one game got much harder, and the NFC North is slightly better than the NFC South.

Eagles have a bit of a tougher schedule next year, but with the Lions potentially taking a step back, can get the #1 seed.

Question.  Should Tanner be active this week even though he is the third QB?  Hurts may be hurt or limited in some way during the game.  Just curious what people think.

Absolutely!

Eagles saw it first hand against the commanders last go around. Commanders overcame the turnover ratio because of good QB play.

You also saw it in the Lions last game, they didn't have good enough QB play to overcome Goffs turnovers.

Ok but the point was whatever happened in that game isn't likely to happen again.

I can see Barkley having a very productive 1st Quarter again.

Well we know the reason isn't your butthole, then.  Your finger knows EXACTLY how to find that, Greg Hugeanus!

McKee doesn't need to be active to play. They would just have to pull Hurts and blame it on the knee and pull Pickett and blame it on the ribs.

They would run afoul of the NFL Brass with the Pickett part of that.  Simply avoid the possibility of a problem and have McKee active.

Edit: now that the actual rules language has been posted it is clear that I was wrong in what I said above.  Sending Pickett to the blue tent for evaluation shouldn’t be too controversial.

IMO, the owner and GM are scaring folks away.

I hope Dallas hires someone so we know Moore is focused on this upcoming game.
