One thing I haven't heard much about is that Daniels HAS to carry DC. He has to or they lose. Can he? Sure, but he doesn't have a lot of margin for error. He's facing the better defense. He's playing on the road. He doesn't have the MVP of the league to hand the ball off to. I'm not saying the pressure will get to him, but there is a lot more on his shoulders while the Eagles are a complete team with a lot more talent that picks up for each other.

Eagles still lose and we are all doomed cause of Hurts @LeanMeanGM

Terry McLaurin is a top WR in my opinion.

Daniels thru a 2 yard screen to him and he took it all the way.  He's a big play waiting to happen.  If Q wasn't playing I'd be more worried but he will still have his hands full.

Brian Robinson is a real good RB and Ertz can still find ways to get open.  Daniels isn't really carrying them but he makes good decisions and is accurate.

It's kinda tough to compare corners from different eras like that. For the same reason why QB production exploded starting a couple decades ago, playing corner became much more difficult than it used to be. Illegal contact was barely enforced, roughing the passer required broken bones or drawing blood, and the concept of a defenseless receiver would've gotten you laughed out of the room.

Remember when the NFC Championship banner used to be bright blue, now it's gray, lol.   Happy Jalen is doing better.

I agree but I wonder if you were to ask any football fan (non Eagles fan) or TV personality or analyst who was better, what do you think they'll say?  Probably Slay.  He's talked about like he's been a premier CB for the last 10 years going back to when he was in Detroit.  For some of those years he was a top CB but not every year.

Eh, I dunno. You even have guys like Asante Samuel who has 2 SB’s, 2 all pros, led the league in INTs twice and most pick 6’s in NFL playoff history. He’s a long shot to make it too. Different play styles but I just don’t think Slay has the accomplishments to come close.

Didn’t she (or someone else) do that same thing last year? I remember a video & Barstool Philly made t-shirts.

As always a really good assessment.  Objective and knowledgeable about both the good and the bad.

I think Charles Tillman should get a look before him too. He generated a lot of turnovers by forcing fumbles in addition to his interceptions.

Hurts one of the most influential leaders in the NFL.

I’ll fight to the bitter end that Eric Allen deserves to be in the HOF. It’s ridiculous to me he’s not. And i generally hate asu and anything associated with asu lol

He successfully lobbied coach Nick Sirianni to increase the number and length of practices. The sessions were described by one defensive player as "a lot more excruciating" compared to seasons past. That's part of the formula that sparked a dramatic turnaround as the Eagles finished the regular season No. 1 in both total defense and passing defense, second in points per game and fourth in the red zone.

Quote

The Eagles added more practices to their training camp slate and upped the amount of padded practices in season while staying within the limits collectively bargained by the NFL and NFLPA. It helped prepare the group for a demanding workload, no one more so than Carter, whose snaps jumped from 563 during the regular season as a rookie in 2023 to 831 this year (and 919 including the playoffs, second in the NFL only to Broncos defensive end Zach Allen's 975). Carter's dominant, two-sack performance Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round of the playoffs shows there has been no drop off.

Curious if he'll suggest anything else after his defense dominated the league. Hopefully they allow him to do whatever he wants

Fangio is reason #1 we have a shot at the big prize.  Just need Moore / Hurts to step up too.

We agree. He is a good WR and Robinson can do some damage, but they are going up against a very good secondary, good DL, and one of the best defenses in football. They have played a lot of good QBs and WRs this year. Daniels is going to have to make plays with his legs either avoiding the rush or scrambling for yards to win. If he isn't making those plays they aren't winning while the Eagles can beat you running the ball, with the defense getting turnovers/stops, or Hurts wakes up and has one of his on games, which can happen from time to time. I could be wrong, but that's just how I see it. If he doesn't carry them they aren't winning.

I think the IRS is now offering free electronic filing - hence the full court press by Turbo Tax.

Was waiting to hear his thoughts on some of these plays, thanks.

He was the QB for the local University of California here in Davis.  He threw for career totals of 10,745 yards and 96 touchdowns while at UC Davis and then was a career clipboard holding QB for over 10 years in the pros.  He clearly has the head part of being a QB down.  He has a PhD in Leadership Studies. His talent on the field wasn’t good enough though.

Since the Slay/HOF question got brought up, and we’ve been drafting so well as of late, who do you all believe has the best shot of making it from our youngsters?

Call it 4th year and under players…

The obvious choice seems to be Carter, but I’m going to say Dickerson. Already has 3 pro bowls and a Super Bowl appearance under his belt, was 3rd in all-pro voting at LG this years and guards tend to be able to play well into their 30’s. I could fairly easily see him making 8+ in his career.

Fangio has been great. Like amazing. In fact I didn’t want him so Im really happy to be wrong.

I do wonder if they are just assuming the length of practices or the frequency made a difference. Could just be that the guy knows ball
