Tbh i just found out clearly Canadian is still made and that was my go to back in the day. Bought a wild cherry. as good as it was back in day 

Speaking of candy I round out a few months ago they discontinued peanut butter twix. I didn't get Twix a lot, but the PB were the only ones I liked.

The chocolate coated chewy bars that they sell these days are like, the same idea. But just not nearly the same as Kudos.

I know you all remember being critical of the Nolan Smith pick even this year. He turned it on around the time of Graham's injury. Early on, looked like more of the same from his rookie year.

Im not sure how many will remember or admit to being critical of Jalen Carter this year. First few weeks, many people expressing disappointment in his inconsistency. And Im not here to tell you guys that you were wrong in that moment. 

Same, for Vic Fangio himself. This is one I am guilty of. I think I was one of them in the first few weeks who was already disgusted with this system and the way it looked after previous failures of Fangio disciples. 

 

So.... who among them in the locker room wasnt doing their job? Who wasnt buying in at first and why? Who was at fault for making it look so wrong? I guess we are past the point of that mattering. We shouldnt look back and open those wounds. The team defeated those demons. Leave them in the past.

At this point the players have bought in. Fangio looks like a genius- living up to his reputation as an upper echelon DC in the NFL for years.

 

Finally coming around to my point- do we really have something here in DL coach Clint Hurtt? Its not JUST Fangio, right? Much of the early defensive struggle was due to absolutely no pressure from the DL. 

At one point very early on, Ojomo and Booker looked like our best DTs. Not Williams, Carter or Davis. Ojomo the rookie, and Booker a UDFA a year ago. Since then Carter has not only come around as a more consistent version of his pretty impressive rookie self. But, he has reached new heights far exceeding that. Nolan Smith has become an NFL player who should be a double digit sack guy next year with the full season starting. Jalyx Hunt, such a raw prospect, is NFL ready. Getting playing time in post-season games, and making plays. Players across the board at all DL positions are making strides. 

Clint Hurtt- future assistant coach of the year? Future DC candidate?

This came to mind because of my comment about Howie being able to pick a DL out of a hat in this draft and it being a great pick no matter what. And you know- its probably time to say we can be more confident in that because we have Clint Hurtt to coach that rookie up.

Something definitely changed, and I was 100% one of the guys saying this DL wasn't giving them what they should. I was very critical of Carter for not being able to finish, not being on the field enough and not looking like a legit gamechanger game in and game out. He flashed, but just seemed far too inconsistent. Those backups were the ones shining. Boy how things have changed. Carter is the best player on the field. Nolan Smith is looking like a steal at 30 now. This DL is built for years to come. 

If it's Hurtt, don't let him out of the building. Make him an assistant DC. 

Whatever caused the change, I'm thankful for it. This DL and defense is so fun to watch.

Bought some Philly Preztel factory before I left and froze them.  Gonna defrost and warm.  Probably still better than anything I can get in New Mexico

Yeah they try to pass off those Quaker dips as kudos now, they suck.

I have a couple of local pretzel shops around me that do them auntie Anns style with the butter. Have to go to phiily pretzel factory if i want that style.

Skip the Hershey's and head down to Cape May and the Cape May Peanut Butter Company. Their all natural PB filled PB cups are unreal. They even make a 5 pounder. They have a dark chocolate with butterscotch peanut butter than will change your life.

We've gone too far with the amount of snacks adding different fillings. M&M's filled with all kinds of crap. Oreo's with 40 different fillings. Reese's PB cups with 10 different fillings. We need to stick to the basics. PB Twix however were the best of the bunch. The perfect amount of PB with the cookie crisp.
