I'm not sure that I can express this properly. It's possible it's going to come out all wrong, and that's definitely not my intention.

But there is just something "different" about this championship game than there was before '80, '04, and '17. Oh, for sure I'll be rooting as hard tomorrow as I was back then. But the fact that we have already won the Super Bowl reduces the anxiety level. Back then there was always the sense of "Please God, let me win a Super Bowl before I die! Just let me get to see it once!" But now that we've already won one, that sensation is out the window.

I dunno. Maybe the older guys (like me) can appreciate what I'm saying.

Good night. Let's hope I'm in a great mood 24 hours from now. Carry on.

It’s different for sure.

No anxiety, but I do feel a sense of urgency for them to cash this one in because who knows if they will get another shot anytime soon.

The roster is good and young, so it’s not impossible that they have more chances, but getting 2 cracks at it in 3 years is rare.

Sorry if I missed it but have Eagles players responded to Witt?

Same.

But also we are currently 6 point favorites.  We were underdogs against the Vikings and only 1.5 point favorites against the Niners.  I have much more confidence that we have more paths to victory than the Commanders.

I haven’t slept yet. I might not. Also, today marks the 5th anniversary of Kobe’s death, so a win would be a little extra special and a fitting tribute.

Sirianni should be making a point of this to the NFL and asking them to keep an eye on luvu. it’s pretty bad that a player can potentially injured someone with an illegal hit, get no flag, but stay in the game and potentially help his team cheat their way to victory. Needs addressing

God forbid CJGJ says a bad word though

I was happy go lucky in 2022 because of 2017, but that is over now and I want this SB win.  I want to crush the stupid Commanders then I want revenge on the Chiefs.

It’s amazing though how relaxed I am since winning the SB, I don’t get worked up and if the Eagles lose I quickly move on. That being said, I would love the Eagles to win a second world championship, other teams have done it and I say why not us?

2017 definitely put to rest a lot of long standing "Will it ever happen” thoughts. When 2022 came around, I really wanted to be one of the franchises with more than one ring. That’s an even more exclusive club. Also, in 2022, I didn’t hate the 49ers yet. My thoughts on them didn’t change til after they started beyotching after that game. Losing would have sucked, but I wasn’t going to be as upset if the Niners made it at the time. Today is different. I still want to be a franchise with more than one Super Bowl win, and the idea of Washington possibly going is sickening. Today is gonna be a pins and needles type day.

Yep to both. Becton stays at RG for one more year. Lane play 2025 and Fred is the swing T. Come 2026, Steen moves to RG, Becton to RT.

Perhaps, but there is no way Howie and Stout don’t target another OT in the next 2 drafts.  They will probably grab at least 2 with one being a premium pick (1st or 2nd).  They don’t have a definitive plan…they will be prepared with other options.

How much of it was them not buying in versus it just taking them four games in to find their footing? Coming into the season, I thought it was fair to give them a pass the first month of the season if it didn’t look right due to taking time to gel, establishing roles, and an overall feel of playing with one another. There were a lot of new pieces on each front with Huff at the start, Baun, Quinyon, and CJGJ. Huff flamed out and was a bust, but they have been getting good output from just about everyone else.

I think they hit the bye at the perfect time after the Tampa game to take a break and reassess everything. They came out firing after that against NYG and really haven’t looked back since then.

This…I remember saying a few times over the summer that I expected this season to be the opposite of last season (slower start but with improvement as the season went along).  I thought it might take longer than 4 games, but perhaps they can thank the early bye week for it happening earlier

Making him different from everyone else?

What concerns me is his ability to deal with outside speed. I don’t think he can do it. Thoughts?

Well, one thing you didn't do was teach anyone much.  Maybe you added some knowledge on the draft but that's more or less the extent of anything you brought to the table.

Set the tone from the first play of the game. Have an audible ready for Hurts and wherever Luvu is lined up, have a play to run it right at him. I want him to hate every single play he's in. On the 2nd play, play action deep to AJ Brown.

I want Herman Boone's 2nd half in the championship game attitude. Don't let this team do a damn thing. Don't just step on their throats, grind your cleats in to them. Washington's had a nice fairy tail season but they don't belong on the same field as the Eagles.

100% agree, still want it but not like before

I feel the exact same ay. I still care (too much), but it's not existential dread. I want to watch more football because I love this team.

Younger fans won't get it, but there is nothing the Eagles could do that would create a more painful loss than 2002 vs. the Bucs.

I wouldn't be surprised if Howie trades for a tackle, like they did for Jason Peters.

Game today.    It's a day for talking about football rather than talking about me. Stop acting like a child. Have a good day!

Its true.  Perfect candy bar.  I remember the first time I tried one.  It was brand new and the give away after the Chocolate World ride.   They handed to me, I tried it... and immediately got back in line to ride the ride again! .  Then I went and bought a case.

Could be…draft or trade, he will prioritize the line as he always has done.  He won’t just look at the current situation with Steen and Becton and think "I’m good here”.  The Eagles probably already have 3 players that don’t start on their line, but would if they were on any of about 80% of the rest of the league’s rosters.  And that’s probably still not good enough for Howie
