He slapped band-aids on that position for years before he invested in it. Even after the Slay trade it was how many years before he went out and signed Bradberry in FA? I'm sure the Maxwell contract gave him nightmares. End of the day if Vic tells him he wants/ needs Baun back to run his defense, he'll be back.

Curious if they stick with the tush push if Jurgens has a bad back.

Back to my silver lining post earlier this week. Yes, we want a healthy Cam Jurgens, but him sitting out practice at the very least gave Dickerson and Hurts ample time to get some significant snaps in together. If Jurgens gives it a go and can't finish, Dickerson isn't coming in without having snapped the ball in who knows how long. Maybe he takes a few snaps every practice just in case, but I doubt it. Just trying to have a positive outlook with the situation. Ideally, Jurgens takes whatever painkillers needed and plays a fantastic game.

In 2025, I think they will draft some OL but not with a Day One pick and probably not a Day Two pick. They have seven guys they like - Mailata, Dickerson, Jurgens, Becton, Johnson, Steen, and Keegan. I think they'll go for raw talent, projects, if you will. Players like Vaitai. Why draft a guy high if he's not going to play? This all goes out the window if a guy they see as a real stud falls to them, of course, but their first order of business is to get some edge players, a TE, and an LB or two. 2026 is too far away for me to say anything that's not idiotic.

If Jurgens is out we have to get the 5 best linemen on the field.  Dickerson to center, Steen at LG.  If this is the case I think there would be more under center snaps.  Sucks for us, but I have a lot of faith in Dickerson.

I don't see how he last a full game with back issues. One or two hits and it will probably get worse. Do we want him hobbled is another question? 

I don't get why they didn't plan ahead better at that spot...or why they are taking up roster spots if they suck this badly.

I hate moving Dickerson to center, because then LG takes a hit as well and he and Mailata are so dynamic next to each other.

It is what it is and I understand it. Definitely a better move than relying on someone else at Center.

I still think Jurgens goes, though
