If we played the Lions today we'd win.

But in January, the Lions will have a lot of their guys back and likely have HFA. We're going to rightfully be underdogs and probably use.

It's a big blow.

Yeah the chicken little stuff is getting out of hand. The Lions are damn good and I've been saying they'll be in the super bowl conversation since the offseason but they're not some juggernaut that would take a mighty effort to beat. Like Berman would always say, "That's why they play the game."

I cant see the Lions, with 1 real receiving threat (St Brown) having enough to beat us. And the defensive effort against the packers... not nearly enough against our offense.

Packers look like an easy win. Lions right now look like a double digit win for us as well.

Id only be a bit afraid of the Bucs just because they have our number lately. BUT, we should beat them too.

That's Berman actually doing a Howard Cosell impression.   It's his line.

The key will be getting pressure/hits on Goff. He is still easily rattled. Jalen Carter will need to wreck the game.

Any given Sunday and all that. I think we're clearly a top 3 team in the league (Lions, Bills). Still, having to force one on the road and likely the other on a neutral field is a big ask. Not impossible, just hard.

Our offense doesn't even matchup well with their defense.

Nah, I disagree, we need to be smarter.

I'd be furious if Nick decided to go for it in a similar situation in the playoffs. 30 seconds, no timeouts... there's no need to be an idiot, just win the game.

I thought you were talking about the 4th down on their own 30. I think going for it at the end was fine. Don't give Packers any time as it became a shoot out at the end. I wouldn't want to give them another chance on offense if I were Campbell. It was also an inch and deep in Packers territory. I'd be mad if Sirianni didn't tush push it there. Also they had 2 timeouts.

They will have home field, they will be better rested and they are a team that gets gift calls from refs like the Chiefs meanwhile the refs this season are dead set on not calling penalties on opposing teams when facing the Eagles.

That is all true, but their lines can't handle either of ours right now.

I think $50 worth would be something like $400,000 today.

Yeah, articles said his drive is worth between 600-700 million US. If I lived there I wouldn't be above buying a hazmat suit and diving into that dump like Vikas going into his Scrooge McDuck Money Bin. .

I think Campbell is a reckless moron, and even I was stunned when they snapped the ball. Thought for sure they were trying to draw GB offsides and would call the TO and kick the FG.

It came off a Timeout. They couldn't call another one.

After Joe Gibbs in 2007 called consecutive timeouts that gave Rian Lindell a shorter field to kick the game-winner, I'll never forget that rule

Last night I kept noticing he occasionally had like 1 DE almost winning and the rest of the line stalemated. Its not gonna be like that against Philly. He is going to see Jalen Carter constantly, and have pressure from others at the same time.

Practice attendance same as yesterday. Looking like Blakenship, Brown and Goedert are all out.

No surprises.

I look at this and my mind goes to why are we saying Drew and not Bob? There are 2 generations. PIR Bob and PIR Drew.

I take some small consolation in knowing, if we don't get the #1 seed, we get to watch the Eagles for an extra week.

The defense handled Stafford and Lamar on the road in back to back weeks. Literally no offense scares me at this point.

The only way the Eagles lose from here on out (excluding resting starters week 18) is if we get the bad versions of Hurts and Moore/Nick where we can't pass and commit turnovers.  I.e., the Eagles beat themselves.

Honestly? This excites me.

I love watching this team. Just a likable, fun group.

They have to get past Buffalo. For all we know they go in there and kick the ever loving hell out of Detroit physically and on the scoreboard. We'll see who is left standing on their team after that because they are already walking wounded. Then they have to go on the road in the elements to face the Bears who suck, but division games aren't easy and they won't be in a climate controlled environment.

Same is true for the Eagles. They have to stay healthy against Pitt and DC. We'll see, but the team we watched last night was not the 49ers last year.

The more we talk about the matchup with Detroit in the NFCCG, the more likely we lose to the Vikings at home in the NFCDG.

Fortunately McCollum will have a full week of practice for this weeks game.

Also, this would be the week for Moore to skip the diagnostic plays early and just run the plays that always work.  We struggled to put away the Browns and Jags.  This game should be over half way through the third quarter.

i actually think could say the same thing about the lions. I worry about the eagles passing game as their biggest weakness. I think the lions biggest weakness is their defense and losing the war of attrition

Their offensive line will be able to hold without any calls being made.  Their defense looks to have some really effective blitzes.
