He had a lot to deal with mentally like injuries, Foles , the super bowl and the reports of his attitude then like you said boom that hit to the head broke him. He got even weirder after that

It was Foles mostly IMO. I have nothing to back this on besides the obvious observations. Foles overshadowed him in the SB year after his injury which has to be hard to deal with as an athlete. Then injuries started happening but he was determined to prove himself better than Foles which led to his mental gunslinger phase. The piling injuries made him lose a step so the bad plays started mounting over the good ones. Then drafting Hurts was the final mental straw to break the camels back.

The sample size doesn’t even make sense to begin with. Beyond that there are a lot of vet CB’s that will steal votes from him.

I still believe a fully healthy TO would have been enough to overcome a McNabb in full on choke.  F Roy Williams.

I think you sum it up well. Damn shame. Mahomes is on another level, but he was just as talented as anyone else playing.

He may have gotten back closer to what he was if the clown didn't cheap shot him.

If he wasn't hurt on a cheap tackle and Chad didn't go down vs ATL on that last TD they win that game.

Also great points, it was a lot of factors for sure.

If we win the last two games vs. Dallas/NY then we win the East and get the #2 seed.

It was none of those things, the reason was I got a Wentz jersey after his rookie season, this lead to the ultimate jinx on the man and I ruined his career, lol.

Carson Steele? I mean I know him from the draft process… Bucky Irving might have had more yards last week, than Carson’s had for the season.

The Dickerson numbers would be hard enough to catch but after 12 games in 1973 Simpson had 1584 yards and ended his 14-game season with 2003.  Barkley has no real shot to reach that after 14 games.

I think you’re completely missing the point. The Tush Push is a way to tell a team: you can’t stop us. You know it’s coming but you can’t stop it. It’s demoralizing.

Gashing them for 15 or 20 when you only need one is also demoralizing.

Almost positive he works for ESPN.  You can't just put that in your name if you aren't working there.  Plus he is verified.

Congratulations, now i can't tell if you are a troll or a fool.  Read his bio.  "Not affiliated with ESPN/NFL."

99 yard TD run.  Ties the league record.

Which is my point.  They only have the option for 1 yard with the Push, maybe 2 if things go exactly right.  A traditional sneak, which this team was pretty equally dominant with, allows more wrinkles and counters which can lead to big plays.   Keep the Push at the goalline or the 4th and 1 situations.  But lose it for the midfield 3rd and 1 plays.  A traditional sneak will be just as effective and if they overcommit to it like it's the Push, gash them.

That seems like a reasonable approach.  The one exception would be on a very crucial 3rd and 1.5 type scenario where you decide you are going to push twice in a row.  I wouldn't make that the norm but in a super crucial situation with four minutes on the clock it would make perfect sense.

I will say regarding the Tush Push, I can't count how many NFL games I've watched this year when a team fails on 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 using a traditional sneak or play.  The fact that it is basically automatic for the Eagles should not be discounted.  Now I've also said, that if you have a 3rd and 1, I see no reason except for a complete lack of creativity not to line up in the tush push formation, have Hurts under center with Barkley and AJ behind him to push....snap the ball and have Hurts drop back with AJ going to one side in a pattern, Barkley to the other side and if one or both are wide open, it's probably a TD the length of the field.  If they are stopped on that play, then you can still do tush push on 4th and 1.
