Haven't they already decided? They signed Barkley to a 3-year contract and they loaded up on the OL. They may tweak QB2 and they need a TE. Whether they go for another WR depends on how Dotson comes along but these things aside, it's pretty clear what they are and want to be.

Yup. TE is a great class a big need. McKee should be qb2 though

but it does beg the question as to why we would put top money into a qb in that scheme, doesnt it?

It's gameday and we've barely talked about Carolina all week. More concerned about the off-season.

Either we're getting upset or blowing them out today😅

Just run.  We've been wearing teams out by the fourth quarter.  Hard for them to score when we have the ball.

Part of me wants to throw 80% of the time in the 1st half to get the passing offense going as we will need it eventually in the playoffs.

Evidence? He gained weight when he was out injured but dropped it all by the time he came back. He played his last season on one leg. The Jets put out a narrative that was BS. Becton put up with a ton of crap, lousy coaching, and personality clashes between coaches and front office. These are the Jets, mind you, an even bigger mess than the Giants or the Panthers.

I think absolves Becton of responsibility too much. Was someone force feeding him? Was he not working at his mechanics?

Did he get scared straight realizing he was going to lose out on the big money he was envisioning? Who knows. Maybe he has grown up, maybe he hasnt

They placed him on IR on August 27th.  On October 16th they opened the practice window for him while retaining him on IR.  At the end of the three week practice window period they by NFL rules had to either (1) activate him to the roster, or (2) waive/release him. They chose towaive him with an injury settlement. Once a player is waived/injured, the waiving team has five days to make an injury settlement with the player, which compensates them for the time they are expected to be injured. This makes the player a free agent, but they cannot re-sign with the team that waived them for six weeks plus the length of the settlement.  Six weeks from November 6th is December 18th.

New rule this season, since he was placed on IR before the season they had to designated him as someone who was going to return at some point or else he would be out the whole year and they opted to designated him as someone who would return.

"Players who are placed on IR before the start of the regular season can miss the entire season, unless they are designated to return when the roster is trimmed to 53 players prior to the start of the season"

The fifth-year player had not suited up in 2024 as he was on Injured Reserve; Designated for Return at the end of the preseason with an abdomen injury. The Eagles opened up Okwuegbunam's 21-day practice window on October 16.

That is true.  We will need Hurts to be efficient with the pass.  Will watch to see if we work that in and how.

They did not use any of their Activations on September 27th when they placed Albert O and Anias Smith on IR.  What they used were their two allowable Designations

Yes they wasted one of their designations on Albert O.

Now you’re moving goal posts. Teams have 8 designation to return from IR spots. There is not anything about a number of activations.

Not moving the goal posts at all.  The NFL rule book states "Beginning on the day after a club’s fourth regular season game (including any bye week), it is permitted to begin practicing players on Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform and Reserve/Non-Football Injury or Illness (if the player failed his preseason physical due to a non-football injury or illness) for a period not to exceed 21 days. Players may be activated during the 21-day practice period, or prior to 4:00 p.m., New York time, on the day after the conclusion of the 21-day period."

ESPN also says "Players on IR must miss a minimum of four games. Teams may designate up to eight players to return from IR during the regular season (and up to 10 if a team makes the postseason). An individual player can be designated twice."

Both Albert and Ainias were designated prior to the regular season.

Their designations came from that pool of 8 allowed designations for thr season.

PUP/NFI return is completely different than IR return.

You just said it yourself "Teams may designate up to eight players to return from IR during the regular season”

I just showed you how Albert O had to be designated to return immediately when placed on IR due to the new rule.

Now you yourself are saying Albert and Anias were designated to return. Why do you keep arguing a designation spot wasn’t used on Albert O?

George Pickens hurt his hamstring in practice on Friday. Inactive today.

We play Pitt next week. Big loss.

Tomlin made it seem like he was going to play. I’m guessing it’s not a major injury and more like Devonta Smith last week.

3/8

I have a 3/8 but I'm asking is it absolutely necessary to use a torque wrench after I hand tighten the new plugs?

I'm sure those are questions that Howie and Stoutland and Moore and Siriani are grinding through ... with Stoutland's assessment being the one at the top of the heap.

Put 13 pounds at the end of a one foot ruler.  If your fingers can lift that weight, then you're good.

All of the above is correct/accurate, but incomplete.  You chose not to include the most important part of the Eagles announcement which said "The Eagles made a roster move just after the trade deadline on Tuesday, releasing tight end Albert Okwuegbunam."

Eagles win by 1 score today.

No they did not.  They still had the eight regular season designations.  They used one of the two (new this year) preseason designations on Albert O, and the other one on Ainius Smith.

All that means is that it solidifies the fact that they wasted the designation on Albert O.  They didn't get the designation back because they cut him.  It was already used on him prior to the final 53 man cut down.

If you want to give it 1/16 of a turn you should be fine. I wouldn't just hand tighten it.
