EMB Blog: 2024 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Our two closest games during the win streak have been at home against inferior teams - Cleveland and Jacksonville.

Both games turned on a sudden touchdown by the opponent's defense or special teams.  That is the key for this game.  Make their offense score - even after a turnover.

This is a great table from the Eagles' media guide.  Of our eleven giveaways, only two have lead to touchdowns.  One immediately, the other from our own 22.

No they did not.  They still had the eight regular season designations.  They used one of the two (new this year) preseason designations on Albert O, and the other one on Ainius Smith.

Albert O and Ainius counted towards that 8.

PUP/NFI return is completely different than IR return.

You just said it yourself "Teams may designate up to eight players to return from IR during the regular season”

I just showed you how Albert O had to be designated to return immediately when placed on IR due to the new rule.

Now you yourself are saying Albert and Anias were designated to return. Why do you keep arguing a designation spot wasn’t used on Albert O?

They indeed were designated to return ... but not so designated "in the regular season"  They were designated in the Preseason in the two (new this year) Preseason designations.

The board was updated today, so I'm testing the Twitter/X embedding...

Yep, worked.

Eagles are 0-2 in this same time period with a QB other than Jalen Hurts starting.

I think absolves Becton of responsibility too much. Was someone force feeding him? Was he not working at his mechanics?

Did he get scared straight realizing he was going to lose out on the big money he was envisioning? Who knows. Maybe he has grown up, maybe he hasnt

Becton had multiple knee surgeries and missed basically two full seasons. Kind of hard for a guy to stay in shape when he literally can’t walk.

Not sure how he is supposed to take responsibility for physically not being able to walk. Once recovered he lost the weight.

The fact that the entire Jets OL has been trash points to the fact that this is a coaching issue and not a player issue.

For embedding Tweets (or whatever they call it now)?

I just went to the Eagles X account and copied the URL for that tweet, then pasted it into my post. That's it. Copy and paste.

I wonder if we look to draft a FB in the offseason.

Its nice to have Van Sumeren as a LB who can play the role. But if they deemed it important enough to go sign a FB when BVS got hurt maybe they are now willing to designate a roster spot. I guess itd be more convincing if the guy was actually a capable ball carrier and pass catcher. The guy we signed appears to really stink as a ball carrier.

Maybe we should pay attention to big RB prospects or smaller TE prospects who can convert.

Looking on drafttek there are RBs like Kalel Mullings from Michigan 6'2'' 233lbs, Damien Martinez from Miami 5'11'' 232lb, JaQuinden Jackson from Arkansas 6'2'' 233lbs, and Penny Boone from UCF 6'1'' 242LB.

Testing the imbedding...

If that was an issue with the Invision software, it should work. But if it was an issue on Instagram's side, probably not. Test it out and see. Same with Facebook. I know that that one was a Facebook issue, not an Invision issue. So it likely won't work.

I trust you guys opinion. Do I need a torque wrench to change spark plugs with these specs?

Torque wrench never hurts, but with plugs, if you don't have one, drive them in until there's resistance, then go maybe 1/4 turn at most. Definitely don't crank down hard on them.

One extra step after Copy and Paste ... choose the Plain Text option.

All I did was copy and paste and it embedded.

Says we have to keep Becton whatever the cost, then immediately says we should trade the starting QB and replace them with someone who's never played a snap at NFL level to pay for it. Successful franchises don't trade their 3 year starter QB in order to pay a Right Guard.

He's been in the league for 5 years

Figure the Panthers will load the box to stop run, giving Hurts passing lanes.  May need to put spy on rookie QB.  Hopefully easy Eagles win.

For a moment when the pink shorts guy went thru the table, I thought they were having a Bills fan.

That's likely an issue on their side. I know that was the issue with Facebook. I'll poke around the internal settings though, just incase there's something there that needs to be set.
