With the weapons they have on offense I’m not sure I’d call them irrelevant. Plus I hate them so just want to see them lose lose lose.

Ayuik or however it's spelled is out for the year. McCaffery is out for the year. They're a shell of themselves, and they have a tough uphill battle to get in.

Hurts could have played better. Some of his choices today were upsetting. It feels to me --- and I really hate this --- that we are trying to force feed touches to playmakers in situations where it is unnecessary just because their season stats are on the low side.

Hurts also made some plays today --- some that sustained drives where his earlier choice seemingly hurt us.

Statistically, that's not the game I want to see. We'd all love to see some beautiful 300 yard passing game, but today our opponent didn't want to see that and they made some good plays on defense that led to what we saw.

In the end, I'm once again happy for the win and will enjoy reading posts from the collective chicken-littles that reside here that still believe "last year"
has something to do with this year.

Forget the statistics.  Watch the game.  That's not the type of game you want from your QB.  Indecisive, hesitant and frankly, scared.

The Penix is mightier than the sword

I’d love to see Tyler Warren in this offense. Not sure where he’s projected now but the timing feels right for a Goedert replacement/complement. Hurts needs all the help he can get and this passing offense is missing a safety valve.

Matt Collins with a big first down.

I’m not disputing any of that but the West is still within grasp and they are just a truly horrid football team in every sense.

Out if the 4 sacks, 3 were on the qb. Literally running into them. When it comes to these rpos, he needs to hand it off to Barkley if he doesn't throw. Dumb decision on him to keep it and consistently lose yards

You would prefer the eagles shy away from the tush push and gamble more on third and short? What?

In the middle of the field, 100% absolutely.  We have a stud OL and RB... if we give him a chance, instead of 1 yard we might get a lot more.  And, the Tush Push becomes an option on 4th down if Barkley can keep it to no gain vs a loss.

We Tush Pushed on 3rd and 1 on the last real drive of the game by this team.  Maybe a run by Barkley there instead turns into 20 yards and they are squarely in FG position, instead of still at midfield where a boneheaded delay of game scuttles the entire drive.  And maybe we convert anyway and the entire thing is moot.  They overly rely on the Tush Push in places where they don't need to.

Hurts has a bad game but he’s still a legit starting QB and there’s no better option. Probably won’t be a better option heading into 2025.

I’d like to see McKee with the #1s though

They started turning into rainbow INT's last year so they rightfully cut it out.

Earlier in the season, we’d at least get some sporadic deep shots. It might have been a product of an easy man coverage read, but now it’s all long developing curls or a good looking RPO slant once or twice a game. Otherwise, chaos.

Qb1 is afraid to throw into the middle of the field

Then why the chicken little worrying about them? I get you hate them. We all do, but like I said, they're irrelevant. Take a deep breath.

Frankly, I'm not sure he's even playing that well.   He sure didn't today.

Hurts is an amalgam of Purdy, Kaepernick, Vick, Tebow, Tannehill, and John Allen.

Play style is very close to Broncos Tebow, but Hurts is a slicker passer.  The Eagles are designed to build around a great RB and then situationally force the ball to elite weapons and yac guys while asking the QB to shoulder as little burden as possible…just like Purdy.  But Purdy is a more sophisticated passer and is much better when passing in volume, but also far less dynamic from a mobility and strength perspective.

Kaepernick is similar, but he had A much better arm.  If Josh Allen were 6’ with a noodle arm and elite weapons, he’d probably be Jalen Hurts.

Tannehill was the last qb on a run dominant team who wasn’t asked to do much, didn’t do anything good, but kept it clean and managed to run up efficiency stats while on a very good, winning team.

So lots of comparisons.  We’ll see how the 2024 story ends.

We should trade back in next year's draft. Get as many draft picks as possible to take a shot at getting Manning

I think the most thing buzzard thing about his post that we were forced feeding to playmakers. AJ Brown did not have a single target for nearly 4 consecutive quarters. Think About that. He went almost an entire game from his last target/reception to his next.. If we were force feeding playmakers he likely should be at 10-12 a game. Not 4. Ditto with smith would have more

lol, when Buffalo does the tush push. They actually call offside on the defense.

Probably TE1 and worth a pick between 15-25.

I just think it would be very like them to get something going and be a problem for teams in the playoffs.

If I’m Lurie I’d consider having a conversation with the league office regarding officiating. Between the missed face mask call, Carter getting held every other snap, and the imbalance of calls in the Baltimore game last week, something is terribly wrong with how their games are being called.

I'd bring it up publicly and just write the check for the fine. There's no way they haven't been sending clips to the league all season with nothing to show for it

Start calling them out publicly and just accept the fines. It's got to that point where it shouldn't be done silently

DE is more important imo. I think Eagles lose Sweat. Even if BG comes back he's a rotation guy at this point of his career

The fact that we tried to convert a backup LB into a FB, and then when that LB got hurt we immediately signed a FB, should tell us everything we need to know.

Well, not everything, but a lot.

Then he’s going to need to have a very stern conversation with his friend at QB.
