Also, one other thing about Carolina. Sometimes culture change takes a while… They had no players playing this hard early this year.  They were getting steam-rolled week in/week out.  They have been a much different team the last four or five games.

yeah. thats how t hey kept Lamar in check. They threw it all out the window against Young. I dont know how hard it must be to go talk on the sideline and say hey guys, lets get back to mush rushes to keep this guy contained. Apparently you cant do that?

Good practice for facing Wilson next week.

This board is running like molasses today

It's been awful.

He must have bet the ML.  Panthers covered, were 14 pt underdogs.

He did at -700. Won around $400k.

I actually disagree.  What weren’t the positives?

OL did what they do.  Barkley was great.  Defense gave up 16 against an offense that has been playing well and that made every drive 4 downs.

Tackling fell off and Dejean definitely struggled with Thielen….but really nothing crazy bad on either front.

The team did their thing today.  It’s just that Hurts was awful.  Nothing more to it.

& you can’t be too mad about DeJean struggling with Thielen. He’s still a rookie, bound to have a rough game especially against a skilled veteran like Thielen.

Vegas was begging you to take the 13.5

I didn’t take it. I took the panthers with the points cause I’ve seen us do this against the jags and browns this year at home

How hilarious would it be if Giants win this game & lose out on 1st pick

Giants need a helluva lot more than a first overall pick to turn them around. They can have it and still won’t do crap. They are a dumpster fire for a long time

I don’t know what that was all about but it was bad. Really really bad.

Hopefully either just feeling themselves after beating Baltimore or looking past Carolina or maybe a combo of both.

Either way next week we will find out.

It’s something they are choosing at this point.

Every person in the world can see the reason for the slow starts is throwing on early downs. It’s literally that simple and everyone who follows football knows it. They can’t be the only ones oblivious to this fact.

clearly they are..only once in the last two seasons have they scored a td in first qtr

Can’t change Hurts, he is who he is. But Moore can run better plays. I’m tired of the route combinations this team uses. Yes, Hurts misses open guys but for the talent they have, there should be open WRs way more than there are. And this is with teams gearing up to stop the run to boot. If I see another 4 10 yard curls on 3rd down

Dropped 3 other balls and you thought he would catch that. Bunch of Fing cry babies

I mean, yeah, eventually he’s gonna catch one.

Red zone efficiency once again. Big reason we won was we got TDs and not settled for FG. The offence really only mustered anything meaniful on 4 drives but 3 of them were TDs (and one missed FG)

The offense stalled. Hurts was bad and he also didn’t get great pass protection (though he does hold on to the ball too much).

The defense were pretty bad and didn’t really get a handle on Carolina. If Carolina kick the points on a couple of occasions they score 20 points. They went for it because they had nothing to lose on their season.

A few observations...

 - Hurts' decision making is really scary at times.  Too many to list here.  Still not confident we win a game in the 30s.

 - A lot of random went Carolina's way.  Our defense is designed to make the opponent move slowly down the field.  Carolina seemed to make every play they needed out of structure.

 - We are missing a edge rusher like we had with Reddick that can take over in the fourth quarter.

Carolina also dodged a bullet with the miss on the blatant face mask. If we get that flag, the game is over

Sure enough. Refs have been bad for most of the year, but still, I think we lucked out like last year.

Hurts was bad today and the pass game needs to be doing a lot more, obviously. They're going to have to figure that out for a playoff run. This game was unusual for the defense the way they've been playing lately, I think they will bounce back from this as a defense.

Face mask calls / non-called should be reviewable.

Eagles just won a game they would have lost last year. Hard to get up for them all and while there is a lot to not like they got the win. It will hopefully motivate them for a big one next week.

don’t know how anybody feels good coming out of this game. The only thing I feel good about in this game

For me as bad as they played we still got the W to keep up with Detroit. We pretty much locked up the division and 2 seed. But it's not a really feel good win.

Next week they need to respond. Today was absolutely a concern but we just have to believe today was a blip. To be fair to this team that has been the blip since the Browns game.

With a 5 yds per att average. Ugly and inefficient, despite the lack of turnovers.

Barkley had a higher yards per carry average.   6.2 yards per carry for Barkley.

Today's game looked like the game I expected against the Steelers.

Hurts is a one-read QB who takes a lot of dumb sacks and has an okay arm at best. And his rushing ability is wildly overrated. His 30~ yard go balls on the outside are money and that's how we dominated in 2022. Without that, his passing is ... rough.

Slippery slope…not sure if i agree or disagree TBH.
