I agree with the Tanner McKee crap but Hurts is NOT a 51 million QB actually none are but he is not a top QB that should be eating as much of our cap as he does.

No other QB has the luxury of what he has with this offense.. @ top WRs.. a top 3 RB, a top 5 OL throughout his his career here and when healthy a top 8 TE..no one..

he should have great stats, he should be able to throw a pass when it's supposed to be thrown. The offense has had to be stripped down to make Hurts comfortable and yet he still can't or

won't do it with the exception of handing it to Barkley. Put him on 20 other teams and he is not even considered a top 20 QB...there is a reason most rank him NOW as barely tip 10 and some don't. I'll root for the Birds every week but I'm NOT going to blindly say Jalen doesn't need to fix and work on his game

as much as he works on his corny little cliches every week.

I'd agree with the notion that Hurts can't throw, or never throws to them if both AJ and Devonta didn't both have back to back 1K yard seasons the past 2 years.   All this talk about how Jalen should be thriving with them but isn't, is wild.

Their numbers are definitely down this season, but they've both missed a number of games. Also, the team is really focusing on running the ball and everyone's numbers in the pass game are taking a hit, which includes Hurts.  The difference is Jalen doesn't care what his stats are, as long as the team wins.  I get that Smith and Brown are WR's and need to feel involved, so Moore, or whoever needs to get them involved early.  But that complaining to reporters stuff Brown is doing needs to stop.

So, can Graham have free reign in the locker room, travel with the team, etc. after his colossal f-up yesterday?  I'd venture a bunch of players are going to be pissed and not want him around, not just H & B.

He’s the new "badassador”

It’s crazy that an 11-2 team is on the verge of self destruction after an ugly win. Everything seems so extreme here.

I think the answer lies somewhere in between. Hurts certainly has been an issue, but he’s not solely responsible for everything that is wrong with this team. He’s never going to be that dropback gunslinger QB, but he can still help this team win. It may not look good, but at the end of the day we have been winning a lot of games these last years. He’s made a bunch of plays to help win games, but his inconsistency has also been frustrating and has kept the offense from reaching its full ability.

BG has been a role model and great character in that locker room for years, but he definitely screwed up yesterday. Even if his statements are correct, it is an unforced error that really helps nobody.

I’m afraid BG opened this one too wide for it just to fade away. You’d like to have AJ and Hurts address the media together and put it to bed but neither is capable of delivering a good "incident over” message in a live presser.

That isn't the issue, though.

The issue is being gun shy and continuing to get frightened in the pocket and taking unnecessary sacks

I smell a Hurts and Brown at the 76ers game photo op coming.

I’m definitely not a Hurts apologist, but what has all of a sudden changed with him that he’s too frightened to throw the damn ball?! That hasn’t been his problem before (unnecessary sacks have been), so what has changed?! His turnovers were a problem, but it wasn’t just about interceptions. It was the combination of both. It’s odd that he doesn’t even throw his deep ball, which is actually something he did pretty well.

Someone was saying he hasn't been right since he smashed his head twice against the Commies. Seems like a lengthy amount of time, but I guess things could linger if he was concussed and "passed protocol".

I think people are looking for an answer, but something is very wrong with the passing game and it isn't because players aren't getting open.

He's had 6 straight games passing where he's thrown for under 200 yds, it wasn't the hit against WAS.  The team has really focused on being a run heavy team, and this past game, for whatever reason, Hurts was gun shy.  It's 1 game. If he comes out next week and refuses to throw to Brown and Smith when they're clearly wide open, I'll be concerned.

Every QB takes unnecessary sacks, and we have a mobile QB, so obviously Hurts is going to do it more. I've seen Lamar have the same type of sacks cos he's trying to make a play.

Oh I agree that something is wrong with the passing game and a lot of that has to do with Jalen. We know his weaknesses, but his inability to throw to open receivers, specifically last Sunday, is weird. Him being scared to throw the ball is something we haven’t seen and it needs to be fixed ASAP.

The funny thing is Hurts seems to be at the core of a lot of the discontent. Remember the report at the end of last season. The Eagles brass disappointed in Hurts and his leadership. Hurts and Nick Sirianni not getting along. AJ and Hurts not getting along. I think a lot of people will blame Brown for this drama because he’s the WR so he’s naturally going to be painted as the troublemaker because of the diva label, but Hurts seems to be at the center of a lot of dysfunction.

And I don’t necessarily think Hurts is some bad locker room guy, but he may just not be a good leader and may not know how to mend fences.

Maybe now is a good time for me to remind you that a guy with incredible longevity, a magnetic personality, and a huge play in the SB, but who has averaged something like 5 sacks per year is one of the most overrated eagles in recent memory based on the ratio of adoration to how good he actually is/was.

There's more to playing football than just sacks.  But... 76.5 sacks, 126 TFL, 150+ QB hits... with the ability to swing inside to DT on passing downs, not to mention his 'glue' personality in the locker room.

I think you are underrating him.

Someone on Twitter said this was from the last game. Idk but get ready for the "everything's fine" photo ops.

I don't think it was the Washington game either, just repeating what I had seen last night.

Seems like the right time to bring this one back.

Tragic of course but very very funny at the same time.

But guys, AJ and Jalen did the Fresh Prince/DJ Jazzy Jeff handshake!

Can’t wait until Jerry’s radio show today

A modern recreation of a 'Bed-In for Peace' scene, featuring two football players representing the Philadelphia Eagles, one wearing number 1 and the other wearing number 11 on their jerseys, as a quarterback and wide receiver. They are sitting on a bed in a bright hotel room with large windows overlooking a cityscape. Above them are signs reading 'Hair Peace' and 'Bed Peace.' The bed is decorated with flowers, a football, and a guitar. The room includes reporters with cameras and microphones documenting the event, adding a lively and engaging atmosphere to the scene.

Problem is the cat is out of the bag and this feels like a way to try and calm the noise. They have to do it but it may be too late. What they need is AJ and Jalen to speak out together and then to get on the same page Sunday. If AJ has a big day and Jalen looks a lot better then a lot of this will quieten (for now).

They can pre-record something but that won't put out the flames.  Putting them in front of a live press corps is a HUGE gamble given that neither has shown any ability to handle the tricky situations very well in public and right now the press idiots smell blood in the water.

Man, if anyone here is newish and never saw these, they were gold. @DrPhilly thanks for reminding me of this! Joe Banner in a Mr. Burns role is classic as is fat AR.
