Not going into the reasons why wentz didnt wanna be here anymore, but that 2020 off-season was awful in terms of what their plan was at WR for a team they believed was a SB contender. just relying on alshon and DeSean to staying healthy was foolish. Because at that stage of their career, they were closer to the end and they were close to done. And if they couldn’t your solution was essentially three rookie wide receivers and Greg Ward. It was beyond ridiculous that they thought that that receiving corps was going to be good enough to carry them for a Super Bowl contending team.

They couldn't have brought in a worse teammate than Jackson, either.

There's a new narrative that I continually see on social media that guys like Chase Daniel and Dan Orlovsky can't be good analysts because they weren't starting QBs in the NFL. The fact of the matter is they have over 22+ years of NFL experience between them. You can make an argument that backup QBs often are superior at the mental side of the game, they just lack the physical tools of starters.

Yeah there's lots of guys that never even played the game let alone were terrible backups that still have a ton of knowledge about football.

Guys like Orlovsky and Daniels may have played and been bad QBs but they still know more about football than most of us.  Does Orlovsky and Daniels say ridiculous things at times? Sure.  But they also are very good at breaking things down on the field as well.

Like I said, could be.  We don't know for sure.  Brandon Graham even said like he wasn't sure.

Maybe they aren't friends anymore at all but i still don't think there is hatred or dislike.  McNabb and TO was an example of hatred and dislike for one another.

Why BG shouldn’t have said anything cause he said he didn’t know the whole story. Frankly, I have a bigger issue right now with BG than I do with AJ saying "passing” to reporters. Because BG had to run his mouth this thing blew up to epic proportions. It’s nowhere near this if BG just shut the F up.

I think I have a bigger issue with AJ as it was his comment that sparked this. What BG ultimately said was worse and more damaging but AJ needed to be better on Sunday when asked.

Yup.

I forgot they had JJAW too. Arguably might have been the worst wide receiving corps we’ve had since Andy left considering DeSean couldn’t stay healthy anymore, alshon was done at that point, Jalen Reagor and Jjaw were terrible, Quez Watkins is a fourth or fifth wide receiver at best and hightower is no longer in the league. Greg Ward might’ve been their best wide receiver on that team.

Ahem...are we just ignoring Travis Fulgham!

Maybe lol. I love BG, but BG likes hearing himself talk.

Those 3 games were magical lol

Talk about 15 mins of fame then poof

So much to hate here. College football is no more. Freshman "signs new deal to come back".

Gilbert was/is an elite talent, now on to his 4th school. I hate the portal so much.

@LeanMeanGM so i guess it was really really bad

I'd agree with the notion that Hurts can't throw, or never throws to them if both AJ and Devonta didn't both have back to back 1K yard seasons the past 2 years.   All this talk about how Jalen should be thriving with them but isn't, is wild.

Their numbers are definitely down this season, but they've both missed a number of games. Also, the team is really focusing on running the ball and everyone's numbers in the pass game are taking a hit, which includes Hurts.  The difference is Jalen doesn't care what his stats are, as long as the team wins.  I get that Smith and Brown are WR's and need to feel involved, so Moore, or whoever needs to get them involved early.  But that complaining to reporters stuff Brown is doing needs to stop.

Well we are talking about THIS year so I don't know what your reaching for. That has NOTHING to do with throwing to open receivers especially when the play

is called. You can't honestly tell me that Jalen gets rid of the ball when he is supposed to.. that this offense  which has already been over simplified for Jalen's comfort

wouldn't be that much better if he didn't need to control every narrative of the game. Again I'll say this, NO OTHER QB has been given so much to work with over his career ..

if he were on 20 other teams in this league he would NOT be in the Top 20 og QBs

Imo the offense is the most talented in my lifetime. That includes 04, 17 and 22. It just is.

That’s why I need Moore and hurts to get their crap together. Because I don’t know when that window is going to slam shut. Maybe they get another two years. That isn’t given. The time to go out there and win a Super Bowl is right now. next year you might not be as good and you might not have the guys avoid big injuries as they have this year. The time is now and time to figure it out is now.

We got a Twitter pfp update!

Honestly I don't even care anymore.  It's not my responsibility to care about these guys futures and whether or not they go to class and graduate.  That's up to them.

I've enjoyed College football.  I just want to see the best games and best teams play.  While the transfer portal and NIL have changed things, it's also made the sport more open and competitive.

I think several teams this year have a shot to win it all unlike past years where it's either Bama or Georgia is gonna win.

T.O. 2.0 for about a game and a half.

I tend to agree that this offense is the most talented in my lifetime as well - from the O-Line top to bottom almost every starting position is pro bowl caliber/potential.

Majority had massive issues with the team drafting a QB in round 2 when there were so many other needs

Wow, 20 snaps of man coverage out of 70 - paradigm shift, something wasn't working.

Since I can’t post tweets I’ll just need to screen shot them for now….

He's not even having the best season of OT on the Eagles.

Bingo. People put their heads in the sand for 10 weeks last year and still didn't learn their lesson.

The biggest difference this year is we have a defense that holds in the first half but actually gets better in the second half. Last year's defense would keep us in the game for the first half but fall apart in the second half.

Is it possible to win a super bowl with this style of team in this NFL? Yes. Would it be way easier if we had any semblance of a productive passing game? Infinitely. There's going to he a game where a team stops Barkley, it's inevitable. Can hurts win that game? I don't think so with how he is currently playing.

Eh, most of us were happy the team was 10-1, but kept complaining weekly about how bad the defense was.  This is different because it's not like Hurts is throwing it 30 times a game and is simply ignoring Brown/Smitty.  Also, the offense isn't really struggling to score points.   I think they can pass if they need to, but for whatever reason against Carolina he was extremely cautious. He was pretty cautious against Bmore too, but not this bad.  Maybe things will go back to "normal" this weekend.

Because people make the argument that only Hurts makes these mistakes

You're either still missing the point or you're doing it just to be an ass.

Everyone knows that QBs miss reads and have bad passes. That's part of it. The issue, for the one millionth time is that Hurts:

- Has the best overall weapons in football around him

- Has one of (if not number one) the best OLs in football

- Has a defense that shuts down the other team and allows him to not push as much

- Has more time to throw then 99% of the league

- Is barely asked to throw

When his number is called, he continues to:

- Leave a clean pocket

- Miss open receivers

- Take unnecessary sacks

- Roll to his right and throw it out of bounds

Sure Allen missed some passes. Unlike Hurts, he threw the ball almost 40 times. How much help does Hurts need?
